There is absolutely no way someone could swim out of a diving bell without any equipment and survive.

@@TIMVAL173 because without a suit pumping warm water through your suit you would become hypothermic very quickly. After about 30 seconds you wouldn't be able to feel your hands and there is no way you could do what's done in the movie.

I always thought they are like 1000meters deep... they were only 50 Meters deep, which is even swimable while holding your breath (Decompression might kill you, but def you wont drown)
Yup once the navy was in the area they could have grabbed the beacon and all swam up with it at that depth. Decompression sickness would be life threatening but as long as they were put into a hyperbaric chamber with medical within an hour they should be alright

The teeth problems only happen with ascents (air expanding), never with descents. And professional divers are checked on this during their medical, so it wouldn’t happen. Small error there …
That and taking a lung full of gas at depth and holding it while ascending.

i feel like the scene with jones and his wife underwater should have been the ending scene with engal (or whatever his name was) not necessarily the exact same thing, but that engal sees his wife as he dies.

Something similar like this happened to a british diving bell, but instead of a storm it was a fault computer keeping the ship stable in the ocean. By a stroke of unluck the computer and its redundant computer both failed and 2 divers where out at the time, one got caught on platform as his cable umbilicle was stretch until it snapped off, he had no air coming in except his reserve tank, no light no heat. He walked in pitch black hoping to get back to the bell.He would then as you can imagine pass away. The ship rebooted their power and got the computer back online stablizing itself and the bell and the men would go back out to work, when they got to the position they was fixing they found their comrade lying lifeless next to where they was working. They grabbed his body and took it back to the bell so his family could have a funerel then 2 men went back to work, the supporting man still in the bell thought "wath the heck" and decided to give the dead man CPR and dsipite being without oxygen and pressumably dead for 20 or 30 minutes, he coughed up water in his lungs and magically came back to life. I believe hes still alive today. Absolute madness!

pretty sure theres a real case where the bell decompressed due to an airlock issue and all divers were imploded and then sucked out of the air vent
Yeah, the Byford Dolphin diving bell accident in 1983. It was caused by human error. Very sad.
implosion implies they were crushed, what happened was explosive decompression as the bell was under many atmospheres of pressure when they were trying to bring it back to one atmosphere.

I’m a professional freediver and yea one time I dived 80 meters and almost died i was seeing images of sharks whales ,basically sea creatures like 2 meters away from me and its a terrifying experience and yes I passed out when my eyes were closing and I could not move my arms i accepted my fate but i still freedive and speer fish every day!
So in your opinion from being knowing about the waters, what's your opinion on the film?
@@SquishyBauBaumy opinion on the film is:its good movie but the scenes sometimes aren’t real yes the pressure hurts your body and it shrinks you’re lungs by 3X but not bleeding by the mouth and jones its a noob! i used to dive 30 feet when i was 12 and 170 feet its about 51 meters and i did 80 meters like come on jones really?? Thats your job and i free dive for fun😂

The suit is designed to withstand pressure and cold of waters to high degree, which is why Jones survived despite being newbie thanks to the suit

How did the one guy get stung to death by jelly fish. Onlt his hand was exposed and if it was the kind of jelly fish that can kill from one touch he would not have been able to ger the becon to work after the first sting and if its just the kind that hurts then how does one hand do that.
Its Portuguese Man O'war, one of the most venomous jellyfish out there that enough to cause serious damage to your cardiovascular and nervous system even a sting to limb
