We went to Joanne Fabrics and purchased utility cloth and put on a piece of plywood. Most clothing just sticks to it and makes it easy to take pictures.

I have a hook over my white door. I hang the clothes, take a front and back photo, a closeup of material or pattern and tag- 4 photos- then I take measurements and post. I hate listing clothes but having a process makes it a bit less painful.
Dave just a note as I have also done the trial thing and forgot to cancel, learned now once I do it I immediately put a reminder in my phone calendar to alert me like 15-20 days prior and that has saved me.
You could get a piece of plywood (4x6) cover it with beige carpet, mount it to the wall with hinges on top and fold it out at a 45 when you want to use it, lays flat against the wall when you don't use it.

I’m a clothing reseller. Just make a detachable flat lay board. You can store it between some shelving when you’re not using it. A lightweight board covered with felt or fabric works fine. An easel type set up is ideal so you can get a very slight angle. That way you can lay a yardstick across for measurements in the same photos. Quick and simple. It really makes a huge difference. You can do this. Keep it simple and it will make your life easier. Don’t overthink it.

A piece of neutral colored carpet zip ties to back of shelf was my solution for clothing photos. Ended up using another piece on a table nearby for close up flat lay with only a 3x3 space allocated on table.
I have the same problem doing clothes but I've slowed down on clothes but the best way I was doing it using the white project board the biggest I can find laying them on the bed and taking pictures

Then I need to get inventory I just roll it out of the way. That way I don’t have to bend over. And if I have nicer women’s clothes instead of using a mannequin I bought the half manikin. Super easy super fast
I purchased my labels today,went to the post office and the QR codes wouldn't work. Ebay told me it glitched because of the postal changes. They refunded my money but told me to try to purchase my labels again in 2 hours or more. I was sitting at the post office at the time so back home I went... hope it works when I try again. I have to drive 20 minutes one way to the post office.

Purchase a nice large piece of stone or put a tile spot together that you can move. If you do plywood you will need a nice blanket or piece of fabric over it. Then add a couple of small nic nacks etc ro pretty it up.
Hi Dave! For you clothing "flat lay" photos, maybe you could simply pull down your attic ladder & set up a picture board angled against that, then store the board out of the way when you are not using it.

Same issue with listing clothing here. I have a board to use, but have to drag it out and move lights around....totally inconvenient. I end up tossing all of the clothing to the side amd moving on to other things.
I don't sell clothing. Seems like one of the most returned item to list. So many different sizes and different charts. Just go to any returns department in any store (Walmart, Target, etc) and you'll see most returns are clothing items.

Today was the first day of shipping with ground advantage and it is very good!! It seems like priority mail rates dropped sometime in the past two weeks also. With those 2 changes on 19 orders it was almost $40 less that it would have been a month ago. That is a pretty huge amount of $$ over the course of a year I believe I figured my shipping was 20ish% less today. I shipped multiple items under $4 have not been able to do that in a year or more!! Thank you USPS never thought I would say that🤣😂

That one guy who got banned on ebay for selling 5 digit nike, has or had a really good set up for clothes. Place a board or that insulation used in basements cut to size and lean it about 45 degrees in a photo booth. Its a flat lay and u dont kill youre back...and its Daily Refinement

I would not list anything new first class first class and global advantage appear to be the same price as of now.

My method for clothes currently, hang it from the wall in my normal photo booth with a coat hangar. I'm not a clothes seller but I picked some up because where I went is so far away had to get a cart full of goods.
You could buy a piece of material from Joann’s and use binder clips to attach it to your shelving. Then hang the item from the shelf to take pictures, fold up the material and put it away when you’re done. I think that should work. Good luck. My husband and I just went full time with our reselling business. It took us a couple years to get to this point. We worked 10-13hrs a day, and made great money, but we hardly saw each other. We decided we wanted to live and experience life now, together with each other, family and friends and not wait till retirement. Now we get to do that. That moment at the beach with your family, is exactly why you made the best choice, Dave!
I have to give you credit for leaving your job, I'm retired now, and I could never ever think of doing that in my day. I would have given up a pension, a family medical plan, a 401K, Not to mention padding my Social Security for when I'm eligible. Best of Luck!

Two ideas for the plywood from Lowe's (good idea btw!) first you can slide it behind one of the shelves that's not attached to the wall. Second is finding a way to pivot it from the ceiling so that you put "hinges"(?) on one side, a "latch" on the other to hold it up against the ceiling. Then swing it down when you need it, and it's not taking up any floor space. Warning though: just DO NOT have this over your desk chair!!! Just in case is was to come loose and swing down, you don't want it to whack you in the head!

RE: Trial subscriptions. Yep done that. Usually it is something taht I didn't realize I had started a subscription for. RE: Waterworld Fire Trail. UM yeah nto to mention that water flows and any oil floating on the water would move around with the tides. Been a long time since I've watched Waterworld. Cuts in DBD and CD cases like that are usually dscounted items going back to the days of Vinyl Records and ealry days of cassettes they would "cut out" a small nick on a corner of the package/case/sleeve to indicate it was a dscounted item. Usually because they had made a huge surplus and wanted to get rid of the things, or sometimes it meant they were discontinuing that item.
Ground Advantage has taken place of First class. It actually seemed a little bit cheaper to me when I printed labels last night. I dont think we have to change our listings, I think they will just switch over?
Overall, it’s supposed to be a 3% discount for us and a 1% discount over the counter. Most of that savings comes to bigger packages though first class some teachers are saving some teachers pay more.

I use a huge canvas from hobby lobby with felt glued over it for my lay flat and when not in use I slide it behind my China hutch.
It is really light weight too

Get a half male torso hanger to list your shirts and jackets on. Just hang it in front of a white sheet, looks nice and crisp.
A lot of our packages that we usually would ship UPS, we shipped out today with the new USPS ground and it was cheaper than. UPS.

Hustlin hooks and Rad resells have vids on flat lay tables. RR use a fold up surface like the old wall ironing tables. Space saving.

When I sign up for any trial deals, I always put a reminder on my phone calendar about 3 days before the trial expires. Saved me a bunch of times.

Two ideas for the plywood from Lowe's (good idea btw!) first you can slide it behind one of the shelves that's not attached to the wall. Second is finding a way to pivot it from the ceiling so that you put "hinges"(?) on one side, a "latch" on the other to hold it up against the ceiling. Then swing it down when you need it, and it's not taking up any floor space. Warning though: just DO NOT have this over your desk chair!!! Just in case is was to come loose and swing down, you don't want it to whack you in the head!

Cuts in DBD and CD cases like that are usually dscounted items going back to the days of Vinyl Records and ealry days of cassettes they would "cut out" a small nick on a corner of the package/case/sleeve to indicate it was a dscounted item. Usually because they had made a huge surplus and wanted to get rid of the things, or sometimes it meant they were discontinuing that item.
Ground Advantage has taken place of First class. It actually seemed a little bit cheaper to me when I printed labels last night. I dont think we have to change our listings, I think they will just switch over?
Overall, it’s supposed to be a 3% discount for us and a 1% discount over the counter. Most of that savings comes to bigger packages though first class some teachers are saving some teachers pay more.
