It has been said that Dimash had only a day to memorize the French and that he and Placido (who turned 83 a few days after this performance) only had one rehearsal. The two of them are very aware of the music and of each other - and of the orchestra and the conductor. A dream of Dimash’s from the age of 5 to sing one day with Placido.
