Unbelievably excellent performance by both maestros. I never thought Dimash has it in him to sing such warm, brilliant lower tones and Maesteo Domingo being still able to pinpoint every note without hesitation. I would like to call this one of the greatest moments of classic music.

This was a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that at the age of 5, he had a VHS of a concert by Maestro Domingo and he dreamed of meeting and working with him from that time. I am sure Dimash appreciated the opportunity to support young classical artists at the invitation of Maestro Domingo for the Virtuoso competition. This is beautiful. We will be here to support Dimash as he reaches for his dreams.

What I loved is Dimash didn't try to overpower Placido. He respected the older man's years of experience.
Beautifully sung, with great orchestration to raise it even higher..one of my all time operatic favourites...never fails to bring out the tears.I heard a version one sunday evening a few years ago, I had been working in the garden, and two people had been practising music in a building nearby, when suddenly they began the Pearl Fishers chorus, and played it pefectly!!. It rooted me to the spot and had me crying, when it finished, l clapped like mad, just me alone, and someone shouted ' thank you' ..I had my own personal show that night, it was perfect..

Thank you Viking.. I debated for 2 hours before watching, I too cried... remembering My Father gone 42 years now.. Was raised listening to the great classics and Dad had a beautiful Tenor Voice, born in 1906 in Dublin.. he and Mom always loved the classics and went to theatres all the time before we children arrived. This was a most beautiful rendition and stirred those emotions to overflow.. Tears are not weakness, Viking, they show many strengths, and are a gift of the God's. A single tear can express more emotions than a thousand words.. Love as always from me here in UK

This song is at the closing of 2023 contest season of Virtuosos. Plácido Domingo and Dimash were judges on this competition for your talents in classical music. What you see are the other judges, but the finalists and winners of the contest were also there. Plácido Domingo met Dimash for the first time and approached him full of enthusiasm and asked him to sing a duet together. Dimash and Placido Domingo (and other famous musicians, such as the chellist Hauser) were judges on the TV show called "Virtuosos". This competition is for young musical talents in Europe, and it takes place in Budapest, Hungary. You are seeing the inside of the Hungarian National Opera (I used to have season tickets when I lived in Budapest). No, Dimash is not competing (only judging). Performing with Placido Domingo was a lifelong dream of Dimash, and it was finally fulfilled.

In my opinion, you are not a man if you don't show your feelings. There is some men, also women, that can not cry - even if they want to. But there is so many ways to show your feelings. And I think it is extremely important to show ours vulnerability.
