Follow this guys It can take 20 seconds or so for youriPhone to turn off, and that's completely normal. Next, hold thepower button until the Apple logo appears on the screen, and then let go. If your iPhone is still stuck on headphones mode after your iPhone turns on, there's a hardware problem with your iPhone

Here it is: 1) have someone call you, 2) turn on to speaker mode, 3) turn off the speaker, 4) plug in your headphone, 5) un-plug headphone. This should work! With use this trick you go setting select sound and play any ringtone speaker was work but when you go back to home screen problem is still , so I don't think that's a good trick
I did everything in the video and I’m still stuck on headphone mode. The ringer thing worked, but as soon as I exit the ringtone settings it goes back to headphone mode After about 45 min it resolved itself.

My iphone felt into sink and I sudenly had this problem. I thought that I'm screwed for good but after watching this, I also tried Qtip and apparently there was some dirt (similar amount as in the video). I cleaned it and it's working again now. :)

After that the phone was stuck on head phone mode so I tried different methods to fix it but none worked. Until, I decided to put my phone against a fan and let the air dry up the water that was possibly stuck in there and it worked. So a good method to fix your phone if it has gotten wet is to put it against air from a fan. I hope this helps anyone who read this :)

I tried to make my own thing with a paper clip and double sided sticky tape where you unravel the paper clip and wrap the tape around the end and it didn’t work
To clean out the port on my I-phone 6, instead of the q-tip I used a piece of pegwood (a wooden skewer should work just as well) where I filed a chisel edge to insert into the port. Gently twisting that edged wood cleared out the blockage rather than packing it down tighter.
I went to settings and was playing the ring tone ( while sad because my phone was in headphones mode) and I cleaned out the speaker with a q-tip at the same time and it started working again. I also prayed to God that also works

Wow, this really should be a problem on such a high quality product. Never really heard any other phone having any big problems with it, so it should be a hard thing to make work. This is just laziness and cheapness from Appels side, they could have gone with a more durable headphone jack. Oh well, at least the iPhone 7 won't have this problem
This kind of stuff happens when you screw with your phone, Apple can't stop people from doing stupid stuff to their phones. I get that you don't want the blame on yourself but don't pull the "it's the company's fault" card. That's just a lazy excuse. Btw I'm not even using an iPhone and my headphone jack got messed up. It's not just an Apple thing.
I fixed my problem by cleaning it with a q tip or a cottonbud,stripped it to size that fits into the jack,and kept cleaning it for 5 minutes or so, i shutdown my iPhone before doing this,so after cleaning,i turned it back on,and to my surprise,it went back to Volume!! This worked for me
Worst part for me is that when i go to change the ringtone in settings, switching volume goes back to Ringer. But it doesn’t stay! So the issue is not necessarily a hardware issue as it does work EDIT-Solution: My problem was due to my speaker dying while it was connected to my phone via Bluetooth. My phone was then stuck on headphone mode. When I recharged the speaker and properly disconnected the phone from it, headphone mode was unstuck!
I got it to work in the end! Turns out that when my phone was connected by Bluetooth to my speaker and when the speaker died, headphone mode was stuck. When I recharged it and reconnected with my phone, I properly disconnected it and the headphone mode wasn’t stuck anymore

Hi the method you mention for ringtone only works when I'm in the settings, I checked that it said iPhone. However after going back to the home page, the phone is back to headphone mode.
Dropped phone in sink and stuck on headphone mode. Nothing in this video worked for me. This is what fixed it: Made a 25 minute phone call on speaker while earphones were plugged in. After the call the speaker worked again, but the headphones needed to be plugged in. I then was able to watch a 15 minute ytube video. After this I unplugged earphones and all is fixed. Good luck!

Just fixed it. There was dust inside the headphone jack. Don’t use a Q-tip you just push the dust deeper inside. Use a pin or tooth pick to remove dust.
What I did that worked: got a q-tip. It was too thick so I ripped some cotton off so it could clean inside the headphone piece thing, I had to do all of this while my phone was off btw! And then I went to settings went to sounds pressed ‘ringtone’ and played a bunch until I could hear it without headphones in Hope this helps!
None of these worked for me, once the ringtone stopped playing my phone went back to headphone mode. I asked my friend to call me as I was afraid I was no longer able to hear what others say when they call me. I turned my speaker mode on and off and somehow my headphone mode went off and my phone is back to normal. I hope this can help some of you!

These two solutions worked for me(My iPad broke twice…) 1. Turn of Airplane mode for 20 min, and then restart your device 2. Shut down your device and plug earbuds(I just used a q-tip) into the jack. Then restart your device with it in Hope this helps :)

None of these worked for me, once the ringtone stopped playing my phone went back to headphone mode. I asked my friend to call me as I was afraid I was no longer able to hear what others say when they call me. I turned my speaker mode on and off and somehow my headphone mode went off and my phone is back to normal. I hope this can help some of you!

I had this issue for two days. my phone kept notifying i had to update my iPhone software. After I updated the software the sound began to play thorough the speakers.

My phone speaker is working (checked through ringer in settings), but it will only play sound in TH-cam if I am using headphones. Can’t find a solution, typical.
IF NONE OF THIS WORKED FOR YOU THEN GO TO SETTINGS THEN TO ACCESSABILITY THEN GO DOWN AND FIND MONO AUDIO AND SWITCH IT ON AND OFF IT WORKS!!

These two solutions worked for me(My iPad broke twice…)
1. Turn of Airplane mode for 20 min, and then restart your device
2. Shut down your device and plug earbuds(I just used a q-tip) into the jack. Then restart your device with it in

GUYS 2 TIPS YOU NEED TO TRY
1.check bluetooth is turned off
2.get a q-tip/cotton bud and try to get dirt out
