picking up my first sig p320 m18 when i get home from offshore. loving th look and reviews on this firearm. i plan on upgrading it as well. i think my mind is made up as far as purchasing it but i will hold it in my hand for feel and comfort just for good measures. great video.
Thank you for watching. If you not going to keep the original slide, or care about the FCU with manual safety, you better off buying the Custom Works FCU and build form that. You will save a lot of hard earned money that way. But, have fun with whatever you going to do with your M18. 😀

your not gonna regret it honestly. i picked mine up like Wednesday, the safetys intuitive the triggers smooth the out of the box sights aren’t to bad but i wish they were higher viz in the front tbh, thats my only complaint so far, it might just be cuz im used to amiriglo spartans though. let me just say i was team Glock a week ago😂 i mean glocks are still great dont get me wrong but sigs definitely live up to a bit more brand new.
Ex Army vet here. I live in California and I just bought the M18. I’m keeping it the way it is … Cool upgrades but for some reason I just enjoy having military surplus rifles and hand guns keeping them as “ORIGINAL” as possible. I truly love the Sig LEGION but it NOT CA compliant 😢

@timandrews6034but it is as close as we can get and I think he just wants to keep it original. I’m upgrading mine because I know it’s as close as I can get but not the actual M18 so I’m fine upgrading it as long as I keep all of the original parts so I can put it back anytime I want too. Also I read it’s not a cerakote. It’s called PVD whatever that means. Cerakote is hard to scratch in my experience and from what I hear this coating is easy to scratch.

Which do you care more about? A spotless product or one that you know is going to function? The gun isn’t made to be pretty or sit on a stand 100% clean it’s whole life, it’s made to fire and a by product of that is carbon build up.
Is a Sig, so I know it will function as intended. I didn't pay 30 bucks for it. I spent a small fortune on it. I didn't buy it USED. I purchased it NEW. So, yea. I want it CLEAN!
Let me ask you, Have you ever purchased a brand new coffee machine that you have to wash out the old coffee grounds before you use it? Or bought a brand new toilet seat that came with piss stains? I haven't. Have you? So, shouldn't when people purchase a brand new product, expect it to be CLEAN? Why should Sig products be any different? Lazy, Inconsiderate appear to be different.

@@AllenTam no problem, was a good video regardless of you nitpicking a barely dirty slide, I can tell 100% it’ll be a safe queen anyway so I guess it makes sense that you would want it cleaned down to the crevices between each atom that makes up the metal. Keep up the good vids though 👍

I mean, brother didn’t even bother to clean the slide after complaining about it being dirty. Honestly a little CLP would of dramatically cleaned up the carbon. I just don’t know why someone would point out how dirty it is, but then proceed to assemble the firearm without cleaning it.
That's a beautiful weapon. Mine is alot more stock but did add a grey guns laser cut x series grip and apex flat trigger and bar. One of the best changes I made to mine was adding the positive reset trigger bar spring from armory craft. It made the break and reset way more tactile which I personally love. Love my M18.
Get the Legion mag bases for your 17 round mags thats what I did
Or the henning I love mine they are quality and have some extra features fir the same or roughly the same price.

I love the way you grease and oil each section meticulously…. @9:40, what type of oil/ dispenser is that and what makes that different than the other oil you used earlier?
The black bottle is Break Free Synthetic Gun oil. I use synthetic on my cars, so it makes sense to use synthetic oil on my guns too. The needle gun oil is the same. I refill it with the bigger bottle of synthetic oil, and I use it mainly on the tight spot. I didn't use those products because I thought they were better than the others brands. I use them because they happen to be in stock on the shelf when looking for oils. And from then on, I have kept buying the same brand. Thank you for watching.

I don't know why you had to destroy the M18 to make a custom P320. Why not just build a custom P320 in the first place? Seems like a waste of money to pay for the M18 and then strip off everything that makes it an M18. You can't even call it an M18 anymore. Just sayin. After saying that, I like the parts you used to build it out and it looks cool.
I didn't buy it because it is an M18. I bought it because freaking Sig Sauer doesn't sell FCU with manual safety. So, I got a used M18 just for the FCU, and it is a better deal this way than sending a standard FCU out to have it convert to manual safety. And I can sell the leftover parts cheaply to recover some money if I want to.

Ok, I'm not sure I got you, but here goes. The heart of the pistol is an M18 FCU. It does not matter whatever the hell skin I put on top of it, be as fox skin or lion skin or chicken skin, or even if I remove the manual safety, as long as the freaking serial number stamped on the side of the freaking FCU says it is an M18, it is a freaking M18.

It is hilarious, but at the same time is annoying. But I'll say one more time. I didn't call this a M18. The serial numbers stamped on the FCU from the Sig factory say it is a M18. Putting a new slide, barrel, frame, and other shit on it doesn't magically alter the serial numbers indicating this is no longer an M18 but something else. You call yours whatever suit you. This is an M18 because the FCU says it is.

Quick question about the red dot, why did you choose the Holosun instead of the Sig Romeo Pro?
Hi, Holosun has the same reticle as the EOTech EXPS3 running on my rifles, which I like. Out of curiosity, I picked up a Holosun optic at a local range dealers open house, and I couldn't put it down. I switched out all my Romeo optics to Holosun with the green reticle because my eyes can pick out the green much better than the red dot: the green reticle and the Solar FailSafe together in one optic is a winner for me. I will eventually replace all my EOTech with Holosun, too. Thank you for watching.

Cool vid… 2 questions ..1. Has the finish held up on the magwell or did it get banged up fairly quick and 2. Did the gas pedal mess with your holster fit if you use a holster seeing that it’s a bit bigger than the original.. thanks
Thanks for watching. The mag well still looks as if it was new on the outside. But then again, I don't toss my gun around. I handle my with care. Inside, though, I can see some minor scratches, but they are not very noticeable. I don't know about other plastic holsters. But I can not use my Alien Gear holster with all my P320s anymore because the gas pedal sticks out too much. I will have to get a dedicated P320 for the Alien Gear holster and not upgrade the takedown lever. Or I could try some leather holster and hope it will stretch. Maybe not; I like my Alien Gear holster.

Just curious. I love this grip so much better than the one that comes with it but did you have to notch the grip for the manual safety? If so what is the room for error?
Room for error? I didn't screw up when I cut it, so I don't know. Not much, I would think, because the manual safety can't cover much of the mistake if cut too wide or too low. I have seen people selling jags for cutting manual safety on eBay, and you could look into that if you want to cut your grip.
How did u get a holosun on a m18 slide with Suppressor sights. my plate has the sight built in

From the basic M18, around $1,100+ worth of stuff not included taxes. The only thing left that is original M18 is the FCU. That's why I built my X-Comp with parts only, I didn't start with a donor X-Compact. Saved a lot of money that way. Thank you for watching.

Just purchased the Sig 320 M18 here in CA. I’m mounting a DPP and noticed the the Bobro plate for that RMR is compatible. Is the co witness a lower 1/3?
You are asking if the built-in rear sight on the Bobro plate takes up about 1/3 of the optic glass? With the Holosun, it is barely visible; I'll say no more than 1/4 or less. And the M18 front sight is not suppressor height, so I basically had no front sight when I ran the M18 slide with the Bobro plate. So, you don't really get co-witness if you run the Bobro plate and do not upgrade the front sight to suppressor height front sight.
sig wants to insure you clean your new parts at least once that's why they ship dirty parts
did it need the plate? looks like the slide was rmr cut and the plate wasnt necessary
It doesn't technically need it but it'd a filler plate/ makes sure the optic is 100% square.

Which one? The C&H Precision on the original slide? I guess it would. But you will not have a rear sight. just a big old empty space that not going to look too nice.

How do you like the magwell? My stock Sig one is trash. The metal one that comes with the x-carry pro. I love my stock shadow systems magwell because it gives a bit of a shelf for my finger to pull down on. Hoping the Killer Innovations is similar.
It doesn't curve like the Shadow System for the Glock but works the same, giving me a better grip I do like it a lot more than the Sig X-frame magwell The only complaint I have is it looks too close to gold. Not really FED. And they don't offer it in stainless. Thank you for watching

@@dantedante1272 You can use the 17rds but you have to replace the floor plate with Sig X5 Legion basepad or something similar.
Great video! What suppressor height sights are you using on there?
The slide came with the suppressor height sights already installed from the factory. So those must be Sig sights. I guess you could find them at the Sig store.

Sig Flat trigger, nothing special. The iron sights are Sig and come with the slide installed.
I have a question? Will that optic plate fir my x carry spectre? That looks like my same slide, but I just want to be sure. Also will that magwell fit also. Thanks
Your spectre is a new slide design. If you open the cover plate, you should have four holes in the back, with two for the RMR. So, I am 99.99% sure the C&H plate will fit your slide. You could check with C&H wed site. They tell you what fit what don't.
And yes, the mag well is designed for the x grip module, it will fit your x grip.

The suppressor night sight is from SiG and came with the slide installed.
The black figure is a Lego I put together in honor of Hong Kong protesters' Free Hong Kong movement in 2015~2019.
What grip module is that because my m18 doesn’t have a flush mag well it has little notches on both sides that the base plate of the 21rd mags slide into

That's X grip, size small. I have seen that manual safety x grip at the Sig store, so you don't have to cut that yourself like I did.
Someone help me out. It looks like he had a suppressor height rear and regular front sight on the original slide. Is their a reason for that? Not being sarcastic. I'm sure he knows his stuff.
Why go out of your way to buy an M17 only to completely make it NOT an M17?
My mission was to purchase a manual safety FCU, whether an M18, M17, or whatever came with the package; if it had the Manual safety FCU, I wanted it.
Where did you get the screws to install the holosun?
Did you do the manual safety cut as well? If so how did you go about it?
I traced the pattern off the old grip on a business card and, cut out the pattern, transferred it over to the new grip. Cut out the channels with a plastic model clipper and hobby knife, and clean up with flat and rattail files.

No. With the gas pedal you will have to get a custom holster made for it. I was thinking cutting the holster but it will compromises integrity. So no more carry for those guns. Maybe a leather holsters will fit.

@@whatupgovna My solution was to get a bone stock M18 to EDC, no upgrade anything, because the attorney said any modification to the firearm could and will be used against me if I had to defend myself. 😆
@@AllenTam yea glowsights and oem internals usually are fine. some of those smaller thing’s usually can be passed as a preference thing but its all up to the judge and how much u paid for your lawyer, in New Hampshire we love our guns and barely have to use them because most of our LEO does their actual job and even after being a grand juror for 4 months i really regained some faith in my state’s justice system but theirs always tyrants out there so your not wrong. thats part of the reason i dont put red dots on my carry gun aside from the fact close range it doesn’t matter much and shooting outside of 5-10 feet in “self defense” is usually hard to excuse as a civilian unless ur in a Elijah Dickens scenario. plus i really dont think the average person is gonna notice a difference if they dont know how to shoot to begin with😂 which lets be honest thats a good portion of gun owners after the pandemic

They shot the shit out of that slide. Thats more than a test fire lol. More like they sent you a used or returned slide from another customer. I hope you were on the horn with them right afrmter filiming this.
That could be it; they may have sent me a customer return. That is one of those one-in-the-million, and my dumb luck of getting it. To have that spot worn down to the metal was really disappointing, but I want to install it right away, also I'm too lazy to go through the trouble of sending it back and waiting for a new one. 😆

Wheeler Fat Wrench. Don't get the digital one.
And I recommend getting the Wheeler 35 pieces Spacesaver Screwdriver Set, too. The bits are longer than the one come in the Fat Wrench and more sizes. Wheeler do have couple more bigger screwdriver sets, but I look at all the bits in each set. The small set have all the bits I need to work on any of my guns. Thank you for watching.

@@darrellchitwood9167 The X-grip is significantly better than the original, for me. My hand size is medium, and I am running size S on all my P320s, but the AXG, it only available in M.You should go check out a P320 X at your gun store to get a feel of the grip before you invest in it. That's what I did.
Regarding the Wilson grip. I have never picked one up to get the feel of it. But the side looks slippery. Aesthetically, I still like the X better.

The blue tool is a bits screwdriver, but I don't use that any more, I got better tool, a Wheeler 36-Piece Spacesaver Screwdriver Set. And the yellow tool is a Wheeler torque wrench.

Well, they test fired and didn't clean it, and a small section on the bottom edge coating was worn down to the metal. Yeah, Sig Sauer sent me a used slide; you could say that. 😆
Question, how is it that you can put a suppressor height sight behind the red dot? Im looking to do that for mine but need more information on how to do so.
The Custom Work slide already came with the suppressor height sights installed. You have the option for slide with stander sights or slide with suppressor height sights.

He got a new upper that’s cut differently. There’re adapters out there that can be mounted to original M18 slide as well.

Wheeler Engineering. I have a digital and a manual torque wrench. I do not recommend the digital torque wrench.
