Yeah heaps of blue groper in nsw, personally in my area they were the dominant species along with these red eye blackish fish that lay on the bottom that no one targets. Sometimes l wonder what the environmental impact of having too many gropers does to the ecosystem but were they not protected there are so many spearos around kiama/Shellharbour thered be none left.

There would have to be some sort of impact, I’d be interested to see a study on it. Yeah your right, they wouldn’t last long at all!

Man I like surfing ect. I've done a level 2 freediving course at adreno. I rushed that course in the open water but passed. I some how now have an irrational fear of sharks that is paralysing for me. I completed the course with intention of spear fishing but I'm now stuck. Does anybody have any tips?sharks havnt really even been a thought for me until now

I struggled with the fear of sharks for a while, I guess I just accept the risk now. Once you encounter some sharks you realise that they are just there for an easy feed and not you eat us. It’s good to have a healthy fear of sharks, end of the day we are in their territory. Dive safe!

Its a Haines Hunter V133 thats been modified a fair bit. Its such a good little dive boat, especially for getting through coastal bars
