I'll never understand that torque cult. I get it, turbodiesels are better for pulling stuff because you get enough pulling power at lower revs, which is good for fuel consumption and clutch. But in racing? Diesels need much longer gearing to reach certain speed because they rev low, so by the time this huge torque reaches the wheels it is reduced to numbers similar to gasoline engine with similar power. In racing torque doesn't matter as long as you keep the engine in the powerband.

MP4/5 sound is greeeeat... The best V10s revs at 13.000RPM. Love this engine, I like the 2000s era V10s, but the 90s are better

@VisioRacer I can add some more V10s here: the mostly awful Yamaha OX10 series used by Tyrrell and others in F1, and the Hart V10 used by Jordan in 1993 and 1994 in 3.5 litre formula and by Arrows in 1998 and 1999 in the 3 litre formula, badged as Arrows T2-F1 as Tom Walkinshaw had bought out Hart Engineering by this time. Otherwise, good list.

The racecars with the back wheels covered were used for aerodynamics. Back then, it was cool and innovative and unique. Nowadays it just makes the racecar look like it's wearing a blanket

You can't have a title that reads "The Only 9 Racing V10 Engines" and then consider F1 from 1989-2005 as 1 engine because there were dozens of different V10 engines that were used during that time period. I realize English probably isn't your first language so it may be one of those things that are lost in translation but I would seriously consider changing it to avoid being accused of click bate.

One that should have been on this list: Dallara SP1 LMP900 4.0 liter Judd GV4 V10 with DO-04 chassis. It finished 5th at the 2002 24 hours of Le Mans behind the Bentley Speed 8 and Audi R8

V10 engines do sound the best, however its a bit unfair to say the Peugeot only did a season unsuccessfully with McLaren, it did three seasons with Jordan then a couple with Prost F1 and did ok. Its sounds incredible too, I have one and its mega!
