The lot looks gorgeous, especially at night!! I love the circumstances that led to its creation 😂 I feel like whenever I am building a hood (or renovating a pre-made one), I'm always finding ways to squeeze in random woohoo spots 😂😂😂 I liked how you connected the gas station to Brandi's story as well - it's always so much fun to think of backstories for builds. Can't wait to see this in the series 😄
Thank you 🥰 Haha, I do that too! Woohoo enabled community lots are pretty important after all, especially if you're playing with Romance sims 😂 Thanks! It was actually really nice to get that lot out on "the map" so I didn't have to keep thinking about it anymore. Now I know where Brandi used to work, and I can relax 😂
If you want another woohoo spot idea, in real life secluded scenic spots with trees where people go park or just put down a blanket tend to be go-to places. Somewhere off the side of a walking trail or by a lake or up on a cliff, something like that. But that might not be much of an interesting lot in Sims.
I agree, a lot like that is probably one of the most realistic. Unfortunately, the best woohoo enabled object for a lot like that would be the cars, but they tend to be very unagreeable when it comes to woohoo - at least the custom ones. I love the idea though
As usuall an excelent build! Girl you got talent! This also seems like a great place for teens who want so sneak out. I can see them going there to get some beer without surveillance, since is so out of town. Some more rebellious teens might be prone to it. Also, even though the records are only decorations, they would look great by the side of a record player of a sim who has music as a hobbie. Could be fun to see one sim go there and choose a record, and then surprise, it's Bowie! hahah Almost like we get a glimpse on what kind of music they like, in a way. I don't know if it would work because since the lot is also a gas station, I'm not sure if limiting it to sims who like music and dance is a good ideia, but, an ideia still. I loved this, can't wait to see it in action :D
Aw thank you so much, Gaby 🥰❤ That is such a brilliant idea! Of course, you're right, it would be the perfect place to sneak out to!!! I might have to set up a teen sneak out party there some time. And yes you make a great point about the records too! I have to place some out in the homes of the music interested sims ❤ I don't plan on making it an owned business, but I really love your idea of learning what kind of music a sim likes based on what records the pick, that's so cute
This is such an awesome build, adding a record store is a great idea! :) I think you captured the vibe perfectly, especially at nighttime, the lights add sooo much to it! ^^
Love this build. ❤ Simple, but very detailed and perfect for it's purpose with the backstory and everything. It's interesting how you combined the jobs of the slacker career into this lot, that makes a lot of sense, because otherwise all of the jobs in that career just seem so random. Also, solving the sleezy meeting place for woohoo with an even sleezier one? Brilliant. 😂 Really made me laugh.
Aw thank you 🥰 Haha yeah it was ironic how it turned out like that - in my defense, if the sims want do be unfaithful to their partners, I'm not inclined to make it easy on them 😅
I really love this lot, the details 😍 I think the affairs will be even more interesting if they take place in this gas station, can't wait to see some 🤭
Thank you, Gabby ❤🥰 I think I must have laughed for a solid minute learning that someone Woohoo-enabled dumpsters 😂😂😂 That's hilarious! Could you imagine Dustin bringing Sandy here and she's like "Really, the gas station? You sure know how to make a woman feel special." Queue Dustin "Dumpster's at the back" 😂😂😂 My hopes and dreams is that they'll be able to use the cars for woohooing but realistically I think it'll end up being the photo booth. Custom cars don't tend to be very woohoo friendly sadly.
I love making gas stations too, or lots that are just decorative and have little if any gameplay use but add panache to a neighborhood. For instance I usually make a motel that functions as a cheap apartment instead of a hotel. It wouldn't be unusual to see lodgings in a town but in the Sims 2 it makes no sense to put hotels outside of vacation hoods. Here I can keep that "realistic" element but make it function in gameplay, if that makes sense. I also put a train station next to some neighborhood train track deco, but since Sims can't catch a train I put a café and a magazine rack inside the train station so Sims have a reason to go there.
That's really cool, I adore those kinds of lots ⭐ Rather than using hood deco it makes the entire hood feel so much more alive if the sims can actually go to those small "comparatively insignificant" places. A motel is a great idea, and so is a real train station. I love making little foresty areas with lakes and such too - it's really great for nature interested sims and families.
I also like making a small (well, "small" is relative, it's on the biggest lot) fishing pond surrounded by trees. In my downtown hood I used LotAdjuster to make piers on beach lots and put fake fishing hole items in them so Sims can fish from piers in the sea. @@AniBats
I love that you play TS2 in 2023...also love your lovely voice, keep up the excellent work
love the attention to detail with the little shelf of screwdrivers and wrenches!

I did something similar to this in my game with making a secluded corner of the public park that has a hammock, for a woohoo spot ^^
What a cute little build! I can totally image the football guys stocking up on drinks before driving with kennedy to a match.
Omg, that is such an adorable thought - of course they'd make a pit stop here! ❤ Thank you so much 🥰

I love the lot Ani, so creative and lifelike. I can totally imagine this in an episode.

Aw thank you so much! That means a lot coming from a talented builder such as you 🥰❤
a seedy affair lot 😂😂😂😂 love it!!!

@@AniBats Hahaha, yes it serves them right and it's perfect. 😄
“What if we kissed in the gas station Photo Booth?” 😂 But seriously, this is a beautiful lot!
I love the lot! It's so simple yet incredibly detailed and well done. 😃👍🏻

Really beautiful as always :)
Such a creative backstory! Turned out great! Is that the woohoo enabled dumpster or is it just the photobooth that will be the woohoo spot?
