I spend one month in Aurora every fall, and I love it there! I have stayed in Denver and Commerce City and Centennial and Lakewood, but I just feel more comfortable in Aurora. I'll be back again next November, and I am already looking forward to it!
I did respite in Aurora a couple times in a house off Chambers and Hampden. It was a decent neighborhood and had a coffee shop and brewery nearby. Also, my moms step mom, who passed away now, was in a nursing home off of Potomac Drive and I used to visit her with my mom every weekend before she moved to a nursing home near my parents house.
It's nice to hear that you had some positive experiences in Aurora! It gets a lot of bad publicity sometimes but there are a lot of great areas over there.
I think you are misrepresenting Aurora a bit with the drone footage of the nice neighborhoods. A very large percentage of Aurora is old and shabby and dominated by tons of run down apartment complexes, run down old single home neighborhoods, and very cheap hotels. This is pretty much the norm in Aurora, and not the exception. Personally, I happen to feel comfortable in such areas, because I have very little money and could never afford to stay in nice neighborhoods. So the cheap areas appeal to me, even though they are not all that safe. But you really should show an accurate cross-section of drone footage, and not just cherry pick the footage that shows the nice safe neighborhoods. Show the whole area that lies immediately to the east of I-225, from I-70 all the way down to Hampden, because that is the very heart of Aurora. In fact, I would say that the quintessential cross-section of Aurora is the area bounded by I-225 to the west, Chambers to the east, I-70 to the north, and Hampden to the south. The area within this rectangle most perfectly represents the very core of Aurora.
I appreciate you watching and for the feedback. In my defense, I’ve spent literally dozens of hours flying my drone throughout the front range and there’s only so much that I have or can cover. I do have video of some of the areas you spoke of and I’ve used it in videos that go more into the different neighborhoods of Aurora - and I’ll make it a point to use some of that more often.
@@destinationdenvercolorado I may have been a little too blunt in my criticism, and for that I apologize. It's just that the Aurora that I saw in all of the drone footage is nothing like the Aurora that I have come to know after spending a month there each year. I understand that you are somehow involved in the real estate or mortgage industry, so perhaps you are wanting to present things in a positive light for those who have enough money to buy a home in the region. So I guess from that perspective, it makes sense that you are not showing all of the ghetto-like and run down areas that cover a large portion of the city. I am comfortable in such areas because I am low income myself, but I understand that your prospective clientele would not be at all comfortable in or near those types of areas.
$1800 might be a little tight if you're looking for a 3 bedroom, if its possible and just to ensure you are in a good area I would see if you could go a little higher.
Thank you for this video.
I always appreciate you watching!!

Was Potomac area safe and do they have good apartments?

Curious to hear your take-Aurora seems like it has a lot to offer, but I bet there's more to the story!
Hopefully this helped, thanks for watching!

Can i get a decent place for my family of four for under 1800 a month?
That will get you a 2bd apartment in an half decent place.
