My Favourite Plugin! Neural DSP's Fortin Nameless Suite

- Hey thanks for tuning in again, I thought I'd give a heads up on what I think to be the best metal plugin. Neural DSP make amazing amp sims that all sound really good but I find the Nameless suite captures the feel and dynamics of a real amp perfectly. The simplistic approach and layout allows you to get a great tone easily and spend more time practicing. Below are my presets for

If you have a Mac just drag the presets into your presets folder and access through the app presets menu
Computer/Library/Audio/Neural DSP/Fortin Nameless/User

To install them on your katana mkii, the easiest way is to drag the downloaded files to your desktop.
Open up the tone studio with your katana connected and go to the top right corner and click the down arrow. Locate your file and it'll bring it into your library where you can drag them across to the katana :)

I love this plugin and HATE that Neural refuses to update it. ALL IT NEEDS IS THE EQ
You can run another plugin that has an EQ alongside it in Reaper. Just turn down everything in it that you're not using.
@@TestamExoTallica yeah I do that sometimes but it's easier on the CPU to just run the standalone when I want to jam

Neural DSP’s Fortin plugins are really fantastic. I have the Fortin NTS plugin myself and it’s perfect for crushing riffs and shredding leads. Can’t go wrong with it or the other Fortin models if you need a good metal sound. Great content, Lambchopper 🤘

Extra thumb up for the Death Angel riffage. "The Evil Divide" is one of my all time favorite thrash albums so it's nice to see them get a little love.

they need to put out nameless x for the qc... for sure their best sounding plugin
Only thing I dislike about ampsims is the touch or feel response when playing fast. It's noticeable. Tone or sound wise or for the convenience of mixing its total kickass. On 2021black friday I think I picked up Nolly and Plini.
quick question: can i buy this plugin & instantly use it or do i have to get like additional neural dsp software to run it?

Mate what do you use to connect the guitar to the computer?
I use an audio interface, which connects directly to my computer. I just plug my guitar into it and I can play through these plugins. You need to download an audio driver as well to get it to work, at least I did.
@@jamesstruthers99 what type of audio interface do you use, iam fairly new to this stuff , and with all that I’ve seen can’t quite understand what can be used

@@MarcosSilva-fh3kzmost people use a Focusrite Scarlett of some kind because they're cheap and sound alright. I also use a behringer active DI box in front of it to clean up my signal a bit. Worth the extra $30-40 imo.

I’ve got Cali, I always preferred Nameless but I’ll give it another listen.

@@LambChopper678 it's less about preference as much as it is about the capture. You play it, and then you go and listen to other reviews, and it's AMAZING how similar the plugin is to the real thing, and how it reacts when you change knobs.
I've tried all the NDSP's captures of real amps (not archetypes) and this one and the Soldano are just on point.

That’s a great plugin it’s one of my favorites. Also great playing too. I think you should check out the Marshall valve state you can find them for pretty cheap or there’s a plug-in for it. Love the videos keep up the great work!
How do you like this compared to Gojira X? Im trying to decide between the two while they're on sale.
I think they’re both awesome but I tend to use this one more. I just love the massive crushing tone from the Fortin
