I think people feel comforted by Carla’s content because she’s just unapologetically being her fabulous self and there’s no pressure on her viewers to have to fit some kind of mold. There’s no pressure to be “perfect” (whatever that means). She’s also inspirational because a lot of older people we know aren’t so fabulous, energetic, healthy, or well-off, so we hope we end up more like her than like the people we know in our own lives.
This interview has been extremely informative and enlightening. I am in my early 60s, and am just now exploring MY style interests and possibilities. Carla's innate comfortability with herself easily translates to every woman desperately searching for her own niche.
I never understood lying about age. And I've had females criticize me for telling my actual age. I am who I am and you either like me or you don't. And the time and energy wasted being so hard on myself is just sad. I won't apologize for being me to make anyone feel comfortable with themselves. Love thyself first and the rest falls into place.

Carla, I'm 67 and in small town ohio. I love, love you tips on dressing for you!!! I am eclectic as well and love my grandmothers brooches and other jewelry scarves, etc. I'm proud to be able to design my style without looking too old! Your channel has helped me overcome more obstacles I had and now create! Thank you
I love Carla's take on the essential pieces. I love her style, but I know full well that I wouldn't look good wearing oversized caftans and a ton of accessories. This was a fun and informative interview!
Thank you for the interview. I wish I had the space to keep all my clothes over the years. My clothes, my jewelry, my shoes, etc are my treasures but because of space issues, I had to purge with pain in my heart. I love your amazing closet and your stories behind your treasures.
Sis i just broke down and got a storage unit. I'm an admitted fashion hoarder and luckily since the 90s are back I've no need to shop but I've purged some things.
In the 1980s, I got a big promotion where I had to wear business attire like suits. I am gone from wearing a lab coat over my more trendy clothes, even had some of those jeans with large flowers. It was expensive for a new wardrobe so I purchased one outfit per day. Didn't take long for me to get totally bored. That would be hard to keep up.

Funny thing is that the women who lie about their age doesn't realize that we all know the truth! The insecurities are all over their face.
