Thanks for checking out Dreamcatcher and welcome to the black hole that is their content. You'll find that all of Dreamcatchers title tracks have a rock/metal influence, usually paired with some variation of EDM, Strings, and/or Piano. Their B-Sides contain a ton of musical genres, including Hard Rock, ballads, EDM, R&B, Reggae, Jazz Influence, and much more.
Dreamcatcher concepts are heavily story driven. At this point in time, they have 3 main story lines, two of which that are completed and one that just started earlier this year. I'll give you some info below on all three.
The Nightmare Series: In this story the members each represent a "nightmare" or fear, such as the fear of being chased or Mazeophobia, which is the fear of being lost. The MVs follow the members story of becoming nightmares through the resolution of the story arc. The lyrics, like all of Dreamcatcher's songs, touch on important subjects like loneliness, isolation, and despair in the modern world along with the expectations that society puts on people and idols in particular.
This series comprises the following songs which began with their debut in 2017.

Breaking Out - Unofficial ending to the Nightmare Series, is a Japanese title track.
The Dystopia Trilogy: In this trilogy the MVs depict the Tree of Language and its corruption due to outside influences. The series has themes that address online bullying, persecution, hate speech, and the eventual dystopia that's caused by our continued use and reliance on social media. The songs follow the motif of Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil, and See no Evil. Since you've already seen Odd Eye, viewing Scream and Boca would probably be next so you can finish out that trilogy.
This trilogy comprises the following songs.

The Apocalypse Trilogy: This trilogy only started this year and only one song is released, Maison, which is the one you just watched. The first song is about Climate Change and how people have to stop ignoring the issues. Thay send out a plea for us to turn away from our bad habits and to "Save us". The second song is scheduled to release in October, just in time for Dreamcatcher's Halloween concert that they do every year.
This trilogy comprises the following songs so far.
Maison
Vision (This is what we think the title will be as it was emphasized in their Mystery Code that was sent out earlier this week)
They also have several songs that have self-contained stories like BEcause.

I apologize for the wall of text.
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉
In Maison, they are touching on a very important subject. Maison is French for "house" or rather "home", and they are singing about everyone's home, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert").
People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!"
Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. Although the more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. The bass line is crazy as well. LEEZ and Ollounder (their producers) have done it again, and the members are just brilliant.
BEcause was the comeback before Maison. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's backing vocals is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done.
About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. They noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you".
The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". And I didn't even touch on the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your face turns blue, blue. Your expression is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.
Shadow is an OST, sung by Siyeon (main vocal) and Dami (main rapper!). They really go off vocally in the slow version.
Finally, Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger!

If you’re gonna listen to Shadow, listen to both versions. They have very different vibes, but are fantastic in their own way. It only features two Dreamcatcher members, but they absolutely killed it.

Instead of having one over-arcing story Dreamcatcher is like an anthology series! Maison actually was the start of their latest story known as the Apocalypse trilogy and part two is coming out in October! I'M SO EXCITED! Welcome to the Dreamworld. DreamCatcher aka Deukae (Deukae is shortform of DreamCatcher name, equivalent to 'DC' in English) is that one rare K-Pop girl group that able to sound like boy group & girl group at the same time. Their main music sound is Rock & Metal but their discography actually quite diverse, while their ground concept is Dark. In Deukae-verse, they have 3 main storyline/ event. In their song, they tackle with some darker, serious & heavy issues. They like a beast on-stage but in reality..their off-stage personality is more like a bunch of chaotic & funny crackheads. You're going to love their personality for sure. The Nightmare Series, Dystopia Trilogy and Apocalypse Trilogy. Each event have their own theme. Nightmare Series = Mental Health, Dystopia Trilogy = Languages of Hatred (cyberbully, racism, hate speech etc), Apocalypse Trilogy = Environmental Crisis around the world. Their latest comeback, 'Maison' is the first installment of Apocalypse Trilogy.
Not just the sound like boy groups but most of their choreo goes HARD. :)

The "Part 2" in the Shadow videos is because it's Part 2 _of the OST;_ you're not missing a Part 1. It's from a TV show called Dark Hole; it _looks_ like a zombie show, but it's actually not.
As others have said, you really should hear both versions; each has different instrumentals, and even vocal arrangements; it's the same two singers (main vocal *Siyeon* and main rapper *Dami),* but they don't sing the same parts in each version. You might be best going for lyric videos, where you can really just focus on the music; the videos are just footage from the TV show anyway, and can be quite distracting if you're trying to prioritise the music.
10:00 They can _all_ rap to one degree or another, but we have one main rapper *(Dami,* here), and _kinda_ two lead rappers *(SuA* was originally the only lead rapper; she said she was stepping down to focus on vocals and passed the torch to maknae *Gahyeon...* then proceeded to rap possibly more since stepping down than before... 😜).
They actually have multiple stories; they've been going for over five years, so they've got in a handful of arcs over that time - and you've just dipped into two of them. You're working backwards here, so _Maison_ is actually the first part of their latest Apocalypse trilogy, with the follow-up, which looks like it'll be called _Vision,_ coming out next month.
_BEcause_ is a standalone single about obsessive love (if you've ever seen or read Stephen King's _Misery,_ you'll know _exactly_ where we're going... 😉).
_Odd Eye_ is the third part in their Dystopia trilogy, following _Scream_ and _Boca._ Spiral goes into far more detail than I have time for right now (though point-by-point essay comments are totally my M.O, so be warned for future videos... 😜), but the Cliff's Notes version of the series is a reminder that those faceless names you scream at on the Internet are actually real people with real feelings...

Also, in looking for a non-part 2, you ended up with Odd Eye which actually is a part 3... of the Dystopia Trilogy: Scream, BOCA and then Odd Eye.

Dreamcatcher are returning on October 11 (D-5 today) with their new song VISION 👁🎙, which continues from where Maison left off.
VISION 👁🎙 is the title track of their new mini album (EP) Apocalypse: Follow Us 🏴 , which is Part 2 of the Apocalypse Trilogy.
BEcause is an homage to Us by Jordan Peele. Even the lyrics about sad obsession remind me of the tethered crying when telling the story of suffering underground.
Shadow is an ost and has a fast and slow version, that's all. Its only featuring two members though.
DC music videos are broken into storylines:
Nightmare- Chase me to Piri (story starts at Fly High then chase me etc. they travel through different nightmare realities)

I would leave Shadow till you've watched the rest of their MVs (or a good chunk at least) and watched a guide because knowing the two that are singing in it makes it more special. Others have already mentioned how it's an OST.
I recommend you watch Scream and Boca next, to finish the Dystopia trilogy.
If you want to make it three, maybe chuck in something lighter, like their self-made MV for a B-side - Sahara.
There are technically 3 rappers. Dami is the one you've seen the most. Gahyeon is a lead and the one with the red hair in because. Sua is a sub rapper and doesn't rap much because she just doesn't like it, she had the Ocean View lines in because and is also the main dancer.
I don’t think SuA dislikes rapping does she? look at No Dot for example.

Altho it's only the main rapper and the main vocal, U should really check out shadow. Remember to check out a lyric video, not the ones called MV. They are really not MVs. Dami and Siyeon was a perfect combo. The two versions is the same song, but one of them is slowed down. They're OSTs from a series called Dark hole.
