I’m so grateful you guys keep the songs relevant and timeless! That’s the greatest compliment. I dreamed about making music that would be around for a long time and that’s why I take a long time making it. Thanks y’all! Love reading these comments.
I love your songs! I bet the farmer’s daughter worked her sweet booty off too! You forgot to include that lol. CANT WAIT FOR MORE SONGS BY YOU!!!! I heard this when I was working as a trash truck driver for the metroparks, having those same thoughts daydreaming about a girl to come home to to make it all worth it. Having buddies at work helps too :) We all daydream about a girl who appreciates hard work :)
I love all your songs but my favorite is "Hes mine" because that s my dads song for me. And im only 13 and got kicked out of 4 football games its ironic
I'm a farmer's daughter and married a farmer's son in 1959. We were the best thing that ever happened to either of us. He's been gone now for 3 years... Rest in peace, George, I'll love you forever.
Sorry about your loss Meta. Every single night I keep all of our farmers in my prayers. Farmers are the absolute 💯 folks in my mind. Thank you for what you do and keep on passing your knowledge to the next generation.
I married the daughter of a farmer and let me tell you this, there are very few things on this earth that are truer, more genuine and more beautiful then a farmers daughter. No joke.
I love the story in this song! It's how my grandparents met back in 1952. They're both gone now, so hearing this song is kinda like being able to watch a memory. Thank you! RIP Shirley and Ivan Myers, till we meet again. Fly high with the angels.
One of my cousins favorite songs. He passed away 3 years ago yesterday. Oh how I wish you were here singing this to the family right now. I love and miss you Trevor Davis
Not a single cuss word. No robing no drugs. Just damn good music and even better story tellin. Thank you mr. Atkins for making the days just a little less miserable.
I'm 54 years old and I've lived in the city all my life. After watching this, I realized I missed one of the greatest experiences life has to offer: the love of a country girl.
As a farmer's daughter, I was forever hoping this would happen to me. Sadly, it never did. But I do have a boyfriend who is willing to help my dad out on the farm ;) I love this song.
I’m a country girl. Grew up on the farm. Worked the farm all through my pregnancy. I was still working til the day I went into labour. Us country girls can do it on our own but we are thankful for the hands and for our dads who may have purposely put a great country boy in our lives.
born in Dallas Texas and workin out in hot summer and living the life and i was a farmers daughter and im glad to be with the person im with now. hes just amazing
I never knew this amazing song existed until I heard it one day on Pandora. Rodney Atkins was and still is my favorite country artist, the first song of his I ever heard was If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows) and I've been a fan ever since.
I want to work on a farm because farming muscles are different then workout muscles fyi I live in mi but my grandpa has a mill in Illinois and I asked how it would be to get a job there on a farm and he said most around him are big corporations where I would have to be able to drive a combine and that sucks because now it's mostly machines doing the work
Look for a grain elevator job. I'm from Illinois. Work for a local farmers co-op. I personally love it. Harvest is killer working 60 to 80 hours a week. Meeting all the truckers and farmers makes the job great.
This song got me into country music. I had an ex that liked country and introduced me to this song. At first I didn't care for It. Then It grew on me, now I listen to country regularly. Almost everyday. I'm Bilingual so I listen to many different songs depending on the mood I'm In. One of the things I love about being Bilingual.

Speaking of the devil harvest is right around the corner so most elevators are hiring for harvest help which is a good way to get on full-time
I'm in MO, and we can never find anyone to help. Most of the boys at my high school would prefer to play video games than work.
Better machines than slaves then ay?😂
Hey but if the machine is doin the work then make sure you bring a couple cases of beer and drink while it's practically doing the job for you.

LYRICS, Y'ALL
Well I heard he needed some help on the farm
Somebody with a truck and two strong arms
Not scared of dirt and willin' to work
Till the sun goes down
So I pulled up and said I'm your man
I could start right now and we shook hands
He said the fence needs fixin',
The peaches need pickin'
And the cows need bringin' round
I was haulin' hay, I was feedin' the hogs
And that summer sun had me sweatin' like a dog
So I cooled off in the creek
Then it was back to work in the daggum heat
I was cussin' out loud, thinkin' bout quitin'
Lookin' back now I'm sure glad I didn't
Cause just when I thought it couldn't get no hotter
I caught glimpse of the farmer's daughter
She was just gettin' home from Panama city
She was all tanned up and my kinda pretty
When her eyes met mine
I was thinkin' that I would sure love my job
As the days got shorter our talks got longer
The kisses got sweeter and the feelings got stronger
So we'd hop in the truck and get all tangled up
Every chance we got
We were down by the river all night long
When the sun came up I was sneakin' her home
And draggin' my butt to work
With the smell of her perfume on my shirt
I'd be on the tractor she'd be on my mind
With that sun beatin' down on this back of mine
Just when I thought it couldn't get no hotter
I fell in love with the farmer's daughter
We got married last spring
Whoa and there ain't no better life for me
I'm still haulin' hay and feedin' the hogs
And that summer sun has me sweatin' like a dog
So I cool off in the creek
And she brings me outta glass of sweet ice tea
I'm on the tractor and shes on my mind
And I can't wait till its quitin' time
And just when I think it can't get no hotter
I come home to the farmer's daughter
Yeah, the farmer's daughter,
Hey baby
