hi dear. That's a coated canvas in Damier Azur. The only leather part are the handles, tabs, & the piping around the bag. When you take it in to LV 1st thing they will do is inspect if you have any rips/torns/punctures in the canvas. IF the canvas is ripped they will reject any repairs to the bag--eventho if you want to repair something else. Your daughter's one is called Mini Pochette in damier ebene not monogram. It is a very very popular item. Enjoy!

I use the LYXBAG as a work bag and have had no issues. It's a comfortable bag, has lots of room, and doesn't lose its shape. That being said, I also take care of all my bags and don't carry water bottles, pens, keys, or anything that could damage the interior.

No ma’am wrong, you do not use a wet wipe, you take a damp cloth and wipe only the canvas

@@ToyaTalk Your Louis Vuitton Damier Azure Classic Speedy 30 is a coated canvas bag. Louis Vuitton will not repair Coated canvas and that's where your hole in your bag is located in the canvas. I would suggest that you watch video's here on TH-cam on how to clean, moisturize, store and handle {what not to put on your hands ie: sanitzer, lotion} a Louis Vuitton Bag. I have several Louis Vuitton Bags, LV Slg's, Coach, Marc Jacob's, Fossil and MCM Totes. I have been a bag lover since I was twelve years old I'm now 55 and the obsession continues. Do your research because Louis Vuitton Bags are too pricey to be ruining because you didn't have the knowledge to know better. Blessings to you!

Hi, handbag lover here. Just wanted to say do not use regular Huggies wipes on your handbags or wet wipes. You can only use water wipes and once you clean the bag use a microfiber cloth and wipe it. You can condition the canvas but not with water wipes that’s just to clean the bag. I love LV, have many bags but cannot buy an Damier azur because I’m afraid of it turning yellow 😳.

You should still try to send a bag in and see what they can do and if you don’t want to do that you should look into luxury restoration places that restore a luxury goods because they can help out a lot as well and they could definitely help repair the handles. And also when you have a speedy you should try stuffing it when it’s not in use so that way it can maintain the shape of the bag as well. And never leave your bag in the sun that could cause damage.

Umm no ma’am don’t use the baby wipes on the vachette. You shouldn’t use baby wipes that often anyways. Use the water wipes only if the canvas is dirty. That bag shouldn’t have cracked and it’s only 4 years old. U might’ve dried the canvas out with those wipes. Use a leather conditioner to prevent more cracking. Also the mini pochette is Damier print not monogram. TH-cam has a lot of videos on how to take care of your LV bags. If u feel u wear too much lotion or oils just wrap a twilly or small scarf on the handles. Good luck with her... she still has a lot of life left. FYI I’ve seen people put cute patches on designer bags that had holes to cover them up 👍🏽

Ok thanks for the info. I have no idea why it cracked bc I never used the wipes until after the crack, thinking it would help. I’ll definitely invest in a scarf and water wipes for my next bag. Also an organizer for the inside to assist with holding its shape.

I came out of my mom asking for a Purse 🤣. I have Literally wanted to carry a Purse since Elementary School. Started with Coach and Dooney & Bourke and then went up from There. No going back now. I only got one LV bag and after paying 1800 dls the least I could do was buy a leather conditioner. It's only $15 at Amazon and it keeps them hydrated and protected. Take care of your bags even more if they’re lux 😊

That’s not true sis you can change all the leather back to its natural state it’ll cost but the value comes back even if it’s cracked vinyl a village cobbler can and will fix it even when LV won’t ! I enjoyed your tips. However; the speedy is NOT leather. It is a coated canvas on the body of the purse. The ONLY leather is the handles. Your SA at the store should have made that clear. It appears they were not truthful with you. Not your fault. Just remember there are some SPEEDY leather bags but not the top 3. They are all coated canvas

leather oxidizes, so your handle will darken regardless- I did read that the natural oils from our hands expedites the process though.... but yes sis please treat your next LV better ahaaaa :)

How old is this video? Girl you are late to the party. How have you not cleaned that bag? LV will not repair that. They don’t touch cracked canvas unless it a known defect and even then it’s entirely up to the manager and a good rapport with your SA will help. You didn’t mention the wipes needs to be free of fragrances & alcohol.
