I have been using a sporter for about a year now and I love it. I had a very early model and had problems with it but Magnetospeeds customer service was amazing. Every time I would call with a question I got the same guy and he was very helpful. Once we determined my unit was not working correctly he sent me a new one and I had it in three days and it has worked very well. Once you have the sensitivity set correctly you are good to go. Also check that it is not getting loose about every 5 shots or so, if you get a strange reading it is probably because the unit has gotten loose.

Hi guys.... whats your opinion on the lab radar vs magnetospeed ?.. most of my shooting is w suppressors, supersonic and subs out to 300. Both have data collection so I'm torn between the two. My very short interation w the labradar was mixed...finicky setup for consitant results...the C.Speed seems easier to use. Your work is much appreciated and hope to run into you guys at SHOT. thanks.

After using a standard chrono, my V3 is super stupid easy to set up! No more measuring if I'm close to a 6 feet distance or if my muzzle is level with the photo sensors. Ugh....

How big was that muzzle brake?

That's definitely easier than the bulky optical ones.

what if you have a 1 inch barrel and a 1 1/4" brake?

JB The brake would be sitting out front in the "swoop" of the chrono. The mount would be on the barrel itself.

Is there any impact shift while using this chrono? (given that it affects barrel harmonics... nobody has commented on this that I know of)

With most guns you will be able to see a shift in your point of impact. In fact if you clock the bayonet so it is mounted to the side, for example mounted on the right side, you will likely see it move your groups to the left. If you mount it on the bottom of the rifle barrel, it will tend to move your groups up. Some people say it has no affect on their guns so it seems to be a case by case basis. Group sizes seem to be relatively unaffected though by the MagnetoSpeed.
