    Sifu.
Ive been watching your videos & theyve Really paid off!! I am 62, i have arthritis really bad in my knees and feet and back& CKF.
I was confronted by 4 attackers.
I calmed down, remembered practicing what you posted on your videos. I whipped all 4 & was barely winded but suffered absolutely no wounds!
I continue practicing Your techniques. Now, im confident i can keep my girlfriend safe. SiSi Sifu Wong. Ps
I wish I could get a paper stating, you taught me. But I know that won't happen.
I don't have long to live my kidney have stopped working . I have C.K.D. Chronic Kidney Disease. But I won't do dialysis.
I just think it would be cool to have something to show my Son & girlfriend, I've accomplished something before I go.
My wife has already passed away from kidney failure.

A lot of people try to debunk wing chun like it’s the sketchy king fu guy of martial arts, it’s not the art that makes a great martial artist but how one uses the techniques that makes a great martial artists. Wing chun is a principal more than a style of fighting, it allows martial artists to fight like old men playing chess, it isn’t strictly hands and feet but your mind and reflexes are the bigger picture of this art.

Part of the problem is that the people who say such things tend to come from systems that emphasize regular abuse conditioning (I.e. boxing, mma). They’re used to getting hit, so the amount of required strikes to subdue them tend to be higher than the original intended demographic, the average person with little to no training.
Systems like wing Chun generally don’t implement abuse conditioning like those other systems do. So when you see these MMA practitioners beating wing Chun practitioners, keep that in mind. It all comes down to who the intended threat demographic is for the system. MMA practitioners train for people who can take abuse.
Even if wing Chun was to implement such an approach, it would still come down to the heart of the conversation: the practitioner themself. Some people can take more abuse than others. Some have a thick head that can take a lot of abuse, and some have a glass jaw. Ultimately, it’s not the style, it’s the practitioner.

@@christophersmith3695 i do agree, but if a wing chun id going to knowingly fight MMA, it will be defensive and redirection will be how they win.

this Is so neat!! I used to live in Van. but it was just too crazy. I worked at the Bental Cactus Club haha
so I'm watching your videos (thank you by the way), of the dummy specifically.
I was wondering if you can make a video doing a full routine for just above beginner level.
I noticed on the one you do 9 steps but don't close the routine and then That's the end .

although wing chun is Chinese Boxing, it is not Western boxing. There are movements and body design that does entirely different mechanics than Western Boxing. A practitioner of years of Wing Chun can see a person and know if their muscles are relaxed or not, how their steps are without looking at their feet and so on.
Please keep in mind, although western boxing is fun and has it's application in fights too, it is NOT Wing Chun.

silly question can wing chun be used on a loved one that is blocking a hug that they clearly need like say youre trying to give them a hug but they block your arms

    • @Danny_Lopez_
      @Danny_Lopez_ 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Princess Golden Heart , yes, you can use wing chun to gain position to engage a hug. The moment the hug is block, the bridge is created and you proceed from there.

important to understand that we do not block in wing chun. Period.
Our moves aim to the target, and sometimes they get intercepted. But we do not "block" as in a move with the sole intent of blocking an attack.
every defensive motion is a counter attack in itself
