Running a risk with the vehicle not carrying out the first parade on the motor check the water and the oil asking for trouble in the long term extremely costly .cheers take care and enjoy. Love to be with you turning green from Australia.
Worth every penny of the 15 quid just for that view and to be able to sit and chill out.
We're very lucky to live on the edge of the Peak District and have a small site around half an hour from home where we can just rock up, set up and take in the views through the Derwent Valley while sat next to the fire pit enjoying a cold beer.
It's our escape from everyday life 😁
The fairly lights looked lovely and the underwater scenes were really cool also. Its such an honour to have a whole beach to yourself doesn't happen very often these days.

Love these weekly videos mate. Simple pleasures in life. I mean no disrespect by this but your basic, real life videos without fancy cinematics really show true vanlife. I think they are fantastic. Unfortunately I live in Nottinghamshire in the midlands so don’t have access to lovely coastal camps locally. I do come down to Devon and Cornwall to see family quite often. You should try the north east and north west sometime. Very different but also very nice.

I was on my favorite beach last night....Normally never any problem....a couple of beach fishermen, a few walkers, then once sundown arrives... No-one. (And free in this country)
BUT!
Some knob Head turned up with his girl-friend....opened all the doors on their SUV and played music as loud as possible..... I was not amused and just had to leave.
Very hard to find places you really appreciate........ But we press on.
Some people just ruin it for everyone
So...there is a house by the sea.

Been diving and camping at Porthkerris loads of times, it's a fab spot, busy in the summer time with a little cafe on site for scrummy food. They also have log cabins to rent, which I stayed in once with 8 other divers. Oh, got those fairy lights, love them, can't wait to take them camping next month
Just completing my open water PADI in Indonesia mate, 29°C water what even is a wetsuit? 😆 Always appreciate the little bit of Kernow you share each week while I've been away glad I've dodged all the rain this winter 🤙

I've come across that spot but £15pp is outrageous...
I'd happily pay £15 per vehicle and maybe a £5 for additional people or something. But £30 for a couple would be ridiculous.

I like the little fire in pot am going to buy one for beach bbq where a fire isn't aloud.
I would of definitely cleaned and washed myself and wetsuit in the shower though :).

I’m sure it’s a silly question - what do you do with your van key when you go swimming? Dry bag with you? Van lock box?

@alanhendy1073 I paid full price to stay there and I did think when I was editing the video that an extra £1 for the shower is reasonable if your on your own but if you’re a family of four it would be £60 a night plus £4 for showers

Morning what security devices do you have.ive had to have van locks put on my camper van as some thieving toe rag tried to steel it a couple of weeks ago.and I don’t see anything on yours.the only thing stopping them driving off was I’ve got a disclok they wrecked it but couldn’t get it off.so I’d recommend you get one one if you need something.
I have dead locks on my doors. They work well but it’s a pain having to put the key in everytime

Hi, this is making me feel old but love Porthkerris. Used to camp in my old Commer Highwayman in the late 70s exactly where you are. Only other person there was Charlie, the watch keeper in the MOD building behind you.

Love Porthkerris, used to camp exactlly where you are in the late 70s. in my 'Commer Highwayman' Only other person you would see was Charlie the security gaurd in that MOD place. Fresh fish every night. 😂

I did wonder if you were going to use the kit shower to wash the salt water off your wetsuit before hanging it on your mirror - save salt water running down your van ...
My daughter always uses a spoon to gently tap all around a drinks can that might be fizzy - it helps the CO2 get reabsorbed ... I took her to a Christmas science lecture several years ago given by a bubble expert who showed the trick after shaking a can (apparently, the size of the bubbles affects how sweet a fizzy drink tastes, which might explain why post mix soft drinks taste different from cans)
Those lights are ace! Just ordered some for my next camp out in a couple of weeks. That spot looks incredible for £15, very jealous of you 😅 I’m glad the weather is picking up so us fair weather campers (without diesel heaters) can start getting out again 😂

We were down Porthtowan last week. Bloody wet and windy, got stuck in the campsite field.
Been looking online this week at this place but couldnt find much about the campsite side of things so this video was perfect timing 👍 I wasnt sure if you were able to stay so close to the beach as I could see there was a grass area for camping.
Weirded part is as a city boy born an breed I have no affinity to nature but I get the same feeling of well being as you and others do swimming in the sea, walking in fields or forests, from just sitting on top a 6ft brick wall looking up at tower blocks and down at the pavement!
Bought those fairy lights after seeing them on your video. Nice bit of kit for the van (although the wife already has about a billion fairy lights packed away in there anyway!)

Another great video and I remember your last visit here. Fair play getting in that water but lovely to see what you saw. Lights looked great. Perfect space for some quality time. If your cold at night an electric blanket could help. New ones don't take much electric and only have ours on for few mins just to warm up bed. Cheers 👍🏻

Up by the sea salt factory there's a concrete smashed up jetti, snorkel off that and you'll see red mullet and John dory,

Morning shaun another fret video very relaxing nice beach camp site. And that burger was amazing till you put the gerkin on it lol. Thought it was going XX rated when you showed yourself putting on the wetsuit until the blur came in 🤣 pity the crab was not male. And a bit bigger that could have been dinner. I now feel relaxed and exited wanting to get out in the van. Heres one for you do a video and you can only eat what you can forage or get from the sea. For 24 hours. Just an idea.
