Thank you for understanding the complexity of the indoctrination. I appreciate the call for compassion. However, this is NOT a shrinking problem at all, and it's not exclusive to the FLDS. There are many Fundamentalist sects of the Latter Day Saints church, and if you combine them all there are tens of thousands of members. To imply that this problem is going away is untrue, and harmful, in my opinon. There are thousands of men, women and children who are victims of terrible psychological, physical and spiritual abuse at the hands of the various fundamentalist churches, and it's not specific to Utah, or the Latter Day Saints. These sort of high-control, patriarchal religions and communities are hotbeds for abuse, and pretending it's not common is incredibly harmful.

Oh no, you're not a violent people. Vallow and Daybell proved that.
Agree, they are not all the same, some are violent
And Ruby and Jodi
How do they get away with calling this a religion?
Same grift that's been in play since the first human sacrifice..... Religion is a con job.
It is a CULT of the worst kind!
All religions are technically cults. It just depends on how invasive, extreme or damaging the group practicing the religion become and how well it is excepted by society.
Christianity started as a fringe sect of Judaism.

I don't know which is worse. Flds or scientologists. Both are cults
All the above and beyond
It's all religious BS
What they do to kids has nothing to do with religion.
@@loua1519I agree. It's heartbreaking and cruel!
@@loua1519 oh yes it does. Religion is the number one abuser to kids and adults as well.

@@loua1519it absolutely does. The whole Christian religion is built on the rape and murder of children.
REALLY good reporting and interview. Thanks, KUTV
This lady seems to get it! Compassion ❤ not force!
YES!!
Not so.
Always have cared and worried about these adorable little boys...my God help them❤
I worked out of Fredonia at the forest service and it's the place before Colorado City, which is polygamy city and I am sure glad they found them for many reasons
She’s not violent, but then said “your body cameras better be on”.
They never did find Orsen and Orrin West, ages 3 and 4, out of California City. The adoptive parents were convicted of murder but the boys were never found.
Probably hidden down in Mexico with the FLDS branch there
Thanks to all involved in this rescue. I hope the boys will be able to recover themselves and rebuild a good relationship with their mother. I am personally not for the Latter Day Saints, believing it to be a cult.

Perhaps you need to learn more. Starting with the difference between LDS and FLDS, which is the group involved here.
What great reporting and knowledgeable interview!
Im in N.Michigan. A #NavyVeteranKorea n retired county law enforcement officer n Catholic. But know many actual Mormons . They are lovely people. Yet so ashamed of this FLDS sect.
Yes you're right. They are lovely people. Very nice. But they bought a bill of goods. It's a cult!
I hope they are safe
That is not a biblical term. That is a book of mormon term maybe, but none of this is biblical
These cult members must get significant time in jail to set a precident & stop this travesty!
And the Latter Day Saints should have to pay for every minute of funding that the police had to do in order to get these boys back.
Why the FLDS is an offshoot of The Latter Day Saint's. This offshoot happened in the 1800s when the regular LDS stopped practicing polygamy. Maybe do some research before you condemn a church that had millions of members worldwide.
Why would they steal kidnap somebody else’s children?? That is SICK!!!
The father kidnapped his own children. Obviously, the mom got custody and the dad took them away to live his religion.
It must be a James Bond watch 😂 Love how cooperative even the women are. I hope the children get counseling and are able to get normalcy in their lives and mentally remove themselves from the cult.😭💔🙏
God bless the Sheriffs Department! Whomever did that to those boys needs to jailed for a very long time!!!!!
Arizona and Utah have some real weird religious cult groups.
THANK YOU JESUS FOR BRINGING HOME THE BABIES ❤❤
Jesus had nothing to do with rescuing these children.
Thats where you are so very wrong@elizabethcalef6225
Shirlee Draper is well spoken. She knows what she is talking about.
Thank you, can't wait for up date
It's really hard to get most males to understand when they need help and have them get the help even when it is offered to them free.
Terrible that a father would do this. What a cult!
“Fine Christians “ 😡
Mormons aren’t Christians. Their “god” was a man who ascended to godhood, as they believe they will also, ultimately becoming gods of their own planets.
Mormons are not a sect of Christianity, although those not associated with either religion might try to use a traditional dictionary definition of what a Christian is, Christians do not consider Mormons as Christians, nor do I believe Mormons identify as Christian. Just saying
I am soo Very Happy The Police Officers found the Babes , Soo Happy GOD BLESS , SAVE ALL THE CHILDREN ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I live in Arizona, and I never heard of Fredonia 😮
Awesome! Way to go! What a miracle that they are safe! Thank God!
What the hell is going on in Utah 😫
Bless you and your ministry brother Daniel. 🙏✝️
I'm glad they are found and found not harmed. I'm also glad they are with their mother bc the father is in prison. So, i Hope they will be ok.
Poor boys. So glad they were found. 😢
Screw religious extremism.
I just pray that they get the help they need and they don’t run away again
Just escaped cult (Jehovah's witness) 40 years. Yes, I said 40 years. I am 64 years old.
Glad for you 👵🏻❣️
Did I see this right, back at the start? What were two kids doing locked out in the yard in the dark?
Cults should not be allowed starting with maga
This is some real derangement 😂
how old were these boys? how horrific for these boys!! very disturbing.
Oh…Relax it’s a cult!
I knew a lady her husband was a child of over 20 siblings and other mothers married to his father he came from. The world they come from is hard on them
Thank you Jesus 🙏
Thank the people who rescued these children. Jesus had nothing to do with it.
Prayed for you 🙏✝️🕊💒💜@@elizabethcalef6225
Thank you OFFICERS.
Jesus didn't save them, the cops did.
How terrifying 😢
Call mormons by their name, not some rebranding effort to distance themselves from their crimes.
Please know that the FLDS is not part of the mainstream Mormon church. The LDS church does not support or condone them.
The FLDS actively practices polygamy and follows stringent rules of propriety and society.
Doesn't matter. LDS is a effing cult
I had no idea this cult was still working
Making these kids crawl, wtf? They all knew those kids weee kidnapped, every church member needs jail time.
Did you watch the episode? These kids become brainwashed and cannot be expected/trusted to act appropriately.
This FDLS group is heavily armed and can not be trusted because they believe they are protecting their home and family from Satan, who is anyone who believes differently than the FLDS..
I didn't like the way the smaller boy was handled, at all. Guns drawn was over aggressive, too. Brainwashed to religious fanaticism is one thing. I've never seen anything about flds bring brainwashed to violent behavior. I grew up in Mojave County, Az. I never met any LDS or FLDS who were violent. Cops? Everywhere In Arizona I've seen over violent tendencies. I've lived in several Az counties and all of its cities.
Thank God first!🙏🇺🇸
Demons 👿
It looks like a facility or something!???? Weird stuff on cupboards?? Lady is creepy
What the police should have done is collect all information about the incident including testimony from the victim - witness and present it as affidavit to the magistrate judge to seek a 4th amendment warrant based on sufficient probable cause for a charge and summons . Let the judge decide, that his role and duty .If in doubt, always do it the constitutional way , should be the police motto !
The police should aviod arresting subjects on mere hearsay because when it goes to court the judge may rule lack of probable cause, thus a false arrest .
They will drink the Kool Aid.
So amazing they were found!!
Poor kids...
Cults are so dangerous.
What's going on with Ruby Frankie & Jodi Hildebrand???
