I detail a mechanics car of 50 years. I told him about you guys and I told him to order new headlights .to make the car look brand new. He was like a kid on Christmas when he seen the new headlight how crystal clear they are. Thanks again. Now I know how to put them in cause of this video. You guys are the best..
Great video for replacement of the headlight housings. One step that is not in the video is the bumper cover bracket that is bolted to the headlight housing. Once the old housing is out of the car, there is a long bracket that is held on by one 10mm bolt that needs to be taken off the old headlight housing and bolted to the new headlight housing. This bracket is the clips that hold the bumper cover on right below the housing once your putting it back together.
I have a 2005 accord and I ordered a pair of headlights from you guys. It arrived in three days with free shipping . Followed this video and voila! Saved me a couple hundred bucks. Thanks 1A Auto!

Thank you so much for this video. I purchased two new headlight assembly from Service King and in less than a year they started to fade. I purchased a new set off of ebay for $80. I went back to Service King to have them install and they refused to do it because it wasn't purchased through them. I went to another shop and they wanted to charge me $150. I finally build the nerve and did it myself thanks to your video and the disclaimer of not being afraid to remove the bumper. I really appreciate you and all of the you tubers who take the time to make helpful videos. You save me time and money. Screw you Service King!

I appreciate you very much for posting this video!! What a huge time saver and, more than likely, not having to replace a bunch of broken parts because I didn't know what I was doing.

Changed my drivers side head light on my 2004 Honda Accord 2 door. This video gave me the confidence to try this repair. Took me about 1-1/2 hours including going back and forth to the video but was well worth it. Could do it again in 1/2 an hour. Thanks so much 1AA-Auto!!!
If you are looking to replace just the headlight bulb, please take a look at the owner's manual. It took me literally 10 minutes to change the low beam light bulb through the wheel well. You don't need to take the bumper off for just a bulb.
+R S Thank you for checking us out. We removed the entire housing to provide a better viewing angle, however the method you took is appropriate as well for any DIY'er. 1aauto.com
R S you don’t even need to take the wheel off just to change the light bulb. Just remove the battery. Check out CD’s automotive & repair on the subject on TH-cam, here is the link: th-cam.com/video/kQfOkGwbr_o/w-d-xo.html

Thanks, Mike! Aside from my rusty fasteners, everything went exactly like the video. The headlights came with low and high beam lamps! That was a plus!
I just installed a set on an '03 Accord. They did not come with amber turn signal lamps, but did have the driving lamps. You need to loosen the screws on the driving lamps to make them easier to remove, then re-tighten after new ones are in. I also suggest leaving the protective film on until the housings are installed. Thanks for the video. Very helpful!
Great set of instructions. I did this yesterday in about two hours, but had three issues. 1) the plastic connectors were mostly dry rotted and broke as I was extracting them - I will get new ones so not much of an issue. 2) the 10mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper were rusted so badly that they would not come out (even after a liberal dose of WD40). Had no choice but to allow the surrounding plastic to break. I fixed that by using self tapping screws during the replacement process (not a great solution but it's an old car). 3) after replacing the lens's, the blinkers flashed to fast (almost continuous). The new lens assembly came complete with new bulbs and connectors. Fixed the flashing issue by replacing the blinker connector with the one from the old assembly - not sure what the difference was but using the old connector did the trick...
Hey guys I think prior to installing the new headlights, you should apply Meguiars headlight coating to keep them from yellowing. The product works great and goes on real easy. 👍
I did this yesterday, but figured it out as I went. Wish I'd seen this first!!!! Doggone front turn indicators don't work now! Thanks for mentioning you can replace the bulbs without going through this rigamarole again. I think the replacement headlights might have the wrong bulbs in the turn indicator spot. The rears now flash really fast and the fronts don't work.
It depends on the shop. Some shops charge $75.00-$90.00/ Hr. with a 1 hour minimum. It's not to hard to do if you take your time and follow our video. It will save you quite a bit of money. Best Regards, 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
When doing this take time and buy some new plastic screw anchors (CLIPS) that he says to take and pop off with a screw driver as like mine the weathering of these made them brittle and unusable again. Just makes this easier when actually doing the job. Was very useful info though and this did save me a lot of time, much thanks 1A Auto Parts!
@Katahu We do not. When your headlights become hazed or yellow what happens is that the plastic has broken down. If you buff them out the haze will come back usually in about 5 or 6 months. We sell replacement headlights on our website 1aauto.com with free shipping in the USA. Hope this helps.
Mike I changed just the headlight bulb (low beam) on 2006 Honda Accord EX. Different way's to do it including battery. But the manual say's to go thru the wheel well. Which I did in parking lot of apt carport. Unlike manual's description it was a pain in azz. As I had remove 7 clips on wheel well. You turn the tire all way to right on driver's side and vice versa passenger side. Pull back cover and slip hands thru well get to bulb. You have to lossen 3 screws get bulb to turn to come out.
I have a bulb out on my passenger side 2007 Accord. Like when the high beams go on they work but regular does not work on one side can I replace just the bulb or do I have to do the whole headlight change?
Good video, I had the same problem with some of the clips on the underside of an '04 and the 2 10mm bolts being rusted on, I'm not sure I had to remove all of them to get the bumper cover off enough to get the headlights out though. Need some new clips but otherwise it all worked. Oh the two philips head clips on the top outside of the bumper cover were wrecked too and a drill was some help with them, but really just a flat screwdriver prying them up was fine.
The accord is such a wonderfully designed automobile. Most things are so easily replaced. Almost like lego. My wife and I just replaced our 03 good in 45 minutes. It was brainless. ( Hood. Not good)
What is the plastic piece called that the emblem is attached to? I just ordered a new emblem because I smashed into a truck hitch but I think I need that plastic piece as well.
For the 2000 Accord it is quite easy: 1. Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by squeezing the connector to unlock the the tab, then slide the connector off the tab (use a flat-head screwdriver, if needed). You may have to remove the radiator reserve tank if it is in the way. 2. Remove the bulb by turning it 1/4 turn counterclockwise. 3. Insert the new bulb in the hole and turn it clockwise to lock in place. 4. Push the electrical connector back onto the bulb all the way. 5. Test it!
I want to change my headlights but my car has been in an accident where we had to fix the front end, do you think it’s a risk buying new headlights? i’m scared they won’t fit, but my one headlight is cracked
Great video, my girlfriend has they Honda accord and asked me to change out her headlights, after watching me change out mine on my 2006 Dodge Ram in about 10 minutes. I looked up how its done wow great video. I'm going to tell her, throw away her accord and buy a Dodge Ram. lol

@stalecracka I am showing how to change the whole assembly. You can usually get to the bulbs easier from the back.
@4drek Yes the headlights are same for the Honda Accord coupe.
