I like the way there is variety of tactical skill and battle monster to summon, it makes there is multiple of gameplay style not like typical mmorpg where everyplayer of same class have similiar gameplay style. And i like purchase stuff will not giving massive upgrade, which is where usually mmorpg can be dominate by whales and can be very over powered in early game.
Its weird to me that people are willing to completely drop a game over tits and lolis, that's a wild deal breaker ngl I don't think its that serious tbh. If Amazon censored lolis and jiggle physics but removed the p2w or at least heavily limited it and the gachas i think it would objectively be a better game, unfortunately that probably won't happen, if Amazon is gonna change things they should at least change them for the better. The censored changes aren't thats serious for normal people but the gacha and grindy/boring nature of the game is a huge issue
Honestly from a lot of your gripes with the MMO genre I think you'd like ESO. Progression is horizontal, quest order is nonlinear, and emphasis is on the game feel of combat and on quest writing; with solo pve, pvp and group pve content. I've been really enjoying it as of late

I am surprised to see you overhype this game. I live and play this game in Japan, and I check Japanese TH-camrs' reviews on a regular basis: the feedback are overwhelmingly negative / crippling. It is considered within JP TH-camrs community as a half-baked and rushed out game despite its conception back in 2014, some even doubt if it may survive beyond one year. It has been pointed out that apart from graphics everything else is awful, and I definitely feel the same as a player (awful UI, confusing quest systems, expensive Gacha, unclear class balance and definition, long load screen for each quest etc, you name it).
Valid criticism. I think I mentioned all of these critiques in my video, and I do agree that the game does not feel complete. I’ve been curious how the game is holding player attention in Japan. Is the player base decreasing pretty quickly?
From what Ive experienced, best thing about the game is the story/characters although the action cutscenes are lacking. The summer event is very dull. Even more dull than pso2ngs which surprised me. The cosmetic is also not that great considering the swimsuit given is extremely lacking in comparison to the gacha one. The social features is also lacking due to the limited amount of features to encourage said activity which I saw in your cons list. The foundation is there such as player interaction via emotes but I imagine the majority of that will be limited to cash players only which would suck a lot. There isnt much customization as it is currently in all aspects for those not willing to drop a lot of money. A lot of my friends who arent into the uber min maxing of gear(because whats the point if the content doesnt really require it outside of epeening rankings and time attacks) are already in the daily cycle which is as dull as the Genshin one. We have a guild but the majority of them are already treating Blue Protocol as a side mmo which reminds me of pso2ngs a lot. I hope it improves as its only the 1st month but a lot of the game feels lacking and needs major overhaul. Id imagine a player marketplace for gacha cosmetics and dungeon drop cosmetics would motivate a lot of players but seems like something that Bandai isnt interested in.

@@ichigostrey1035 1. the censorship doesnt stop just with body type or skins, some jokes and dialogs get censored too, racial swap and many more. Just look at Lost ark. In future when Jp server get some cool skin we at western servers might not get it cuz of censorship. And before you say it wont affect the gameplay , transmog/skins are big part of end game and gameplay in any MMO. 2. In case of some competetive content in future western audience will be in big disadvantage against JP since small characters very often has smaller hitboxes and faster animation,so it might affect gameplay in long run. 3. IRL in world there are small -child like adult people,they exist .And by taking away option to play small characters like them self it will takes away portion of their immersion with the game. 4. There is not given age in the game for certain body types so to say that small body type characters are literaly children is based on assumption from Amazon and its forced to the players as a truth and it just show that Amazon is disingenuous and dont understand anime culture at all. Loli is not equal to child. 5. When you look at games like Nikke which is way more provocative and has same rating then you read the crap what amazon put up to justify their censorship then you might get feeling that they are disingenuous and lie to you and it raise the question what else they hiding and not telling to players. That's a great video, but i would like to add that Lost Ark has a similar P2W system, you literally pay 2 skip the grind. There is nothing that the F2P players cannot obtain in Lost Ark that is only obtainable through p2w.
In Lost Ark its much more extreme than you are writing. Only S tier Gear-Scored players are able to easily find access to Parties for end game content. And its only possible to be an S geared player if you either play 6 ALTS and have no life, or pay hundreds, to thousands in real money. Lost Arks Pay system is absolutely horrific due to complexitie, toxicities and other associated problems you did not mention. It's way deeper than just writing "In lost ark you pay to skip the grind". I also think its only fair to write other insane Whale games like BDO in the same sentence as Lost Ark and not games like Blue Protocol. I dont think they should even be used in any comparison.

Not realy. In GW2 you pay for skin and get the skin. in BP you gamble for chance to get skin. Thats a big difference.
