Hello, I have a simple puzzle that only involves one principle of physics that I am willing to bet you cannot solve. The puzzle asks just one yes or no question. I would like to make some sort of wager if you want to try puzzle.

The main thing to know about mechanical engineering is that the right side of the equation does not equal zero. Maybe that's why I'm a Structural Engineer.

The version of the equation where the right side equals zero can give some useful info tho

Thanks for sharing this man. It's reassuring to know what to expect in terms of the challenges and the importance of networking. Your advice about choosing professors wisely and focusing on health is invaluable because it gives us a real sense of what to expect in mechanical engineering. As a fellow mechanical engineer myself, I completely relate and agree to what you've talked about. Looking forward to more of your content! 👍

As a first year mechanical engineering student ,my opinion on engineering majors is if you did your high school studies properly
and if your truly interested in engineering then and then only you should go for engineering if you do it with interest then engineering major will be very rewarding and life will be very good and secure for you , but if you are doing engineering just for sake of doing and you are academically weak in high school then do not go for engineering as a major your life will become very difficult, but if you are really determine to do engineering and you do not have any option then you will have to put a lot of work in

Really enjoy your videos bro. I wanna do my masters in mechanical engineering(ME) but I have a bachelors in biomedical engineering. My curriculum was heavily focused on mechanics so i wanna know if it will be easy for universities to accept me for the ME masters. Also in terms of job security and outlook, do you think mechanical engineers will still remain relevant in 10 years to come. Thank you in advance🙏🏾

Thank you for the video! Do you have an exact explanation on what you mean by having an "Engineering Mindset"? I would love to know more as I am studying engineering.

    • @EngineeringGoneWild
      @EngineeringGoneWild  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

Engineering mindset just means having a systematic approach to identifying, solving, and/or preventing a complex problem from occuring using a variety of methods or tools i.e. FMEA, 5 Whys, the Scientific Method, etc. This applies more to industry, but even solving an engineering problem in school requires you to identify the givens and solve for the unknowns by applying knowledge learned in class.

you need to become good at maths first. specifically high school maths otherwise you’ll fail maths. ask me how I know lol
good thing is, if you wanna study engineering then nothing is stopping you from getting good at maths before you apply!

Do you recommend engineering for me? I am 30 years old starting community college soon and do not know if engineering is a good major
I have work experience in a variety of fields but only entry level and nothing substantial. I want to make 100k by the time I'm 40 and make at least 70k within a year of graduation
I heard some engineers say that bachelors can take 5 or more years
Ideally i want to graduate in 4 years because I want to start a family with a girl I'm getting serious with and need to make more money than i am now(40k)
I do not want to wait so long to get a good paying degree and in high school i was good in math and physics but never went to college
I have independently studied maths up to differential equations so i think I'll be able to hang in the early years but am afraid that my choice of schools(small state schools) will not make employment at a good job easy
My other option is accounting but that takes at least 6 years to get CPA and make good money
    Thank you
