I can say with 100% certainty that if I had [essentially] a full-ride to such a good school, like that of GATech, there is no way my parents would have forked over money to a school like NYU haha
It was definitely a tough talk between my parents and I because GTech sounded more logical but in terms of what I want to study and do when I’m older NYU was the best fit choice. But trust me, I am such a cheapskate so making that choice killed me
first time seeing an ib one and i’m SO happy.

a mathews IB students do get into unis... it’s a super hard curriculum tho so not many people do it
Yeah, it’s just not as common since most American schools do AP rather than IB
a mathews actually IB is a great if you want to get into good unis! Most unis prefer IB because it is a very hard curriculum :)

Congratulations! I noticed that we applied to a lot of the same schools. And don’t feel bad about USC, I got waitlisted to Emory and I was rlly upset and their decisions are rlly random tbh (our results for those schools was reversed😂). And I’m doing business too and would’ve done it at ga tech if I chose there but I chose Tulane. I’m from Atlanta too😂

Hello Cristina, I have a question. Some schools (like Princeton) give a postponed acceptance so that they will ask that you to do one year at another college and then guarantee acceptance as a transfer student as a sophomore. When Georgia Tech gave you an acceptance to start in the summer, did they mean the immediate summer or the following year summer?

Maybe you did this already and I just didn’t find it yet, but could you please make a video on the IB program and how it differs from just taking AP classes/tests. I go to a really lame high school that only offers AP classes, and even those are a joke because they let anyone into the AP classes so the teachers can’t teach at a high level and some of them hardly teach at all, like letting students use 20% of the class time pretending they are learning to juggle while on a unicycle. (AP Composition-I’m not making this us.) Good luck at NYU. My advice is to not drink alcohol in college. Bad stuff happened has happened to people from my school when they did. Also, while at NYU, don’t bother going to this Mexican Restaurant called “The Caliente Cab Company” on the corner of Bleeker and 7th Ave South. It is considered the worst restaurant in NYC.

Aw that’s sweet, but I just didn’t want to have to write a ton of college essays and put too much stress on myself. Plus there weren’t any other schools that I liked that much, or if I did like them, like UCLA, they didn’t have that good business schools.
