I guess the point of the new figures is it represents them when the fellowship is first formed, so their clothes aren’t ragged from the journey yet. Tho that being said I agree with just about every change you made lol
True, however, these are their clothes through out. In the Barad Dûr set they have the same clean clothes. The old ones were so much more versatile. New ones, lame.
Nice vid and solid choices. The only thing I’d change is that I’d use Gimli’s original helmet as it has more shape/dimension compared to the newer one.
A few things! First of all, love your pronunciation and rolling Rs! Another thing. Pippin comes with a green cloak like Merry, not the blue one that you have. Love the changes! Though there are a few i didn’t like as much!
Truly honestly. I HATE the pipin head. Both of them. The smiling face for Han Solo is so sooo much better, and makes his chin and thin face stand out. It’s perfect. Also, I haven’t found a good face for Sean Austin. The one we got is so bad truly. It doesn’t look anything like him. Frodo, his old face definitely looks better for the second and third movie. But his new happy face looks too young yk, so I’d stick with the poly bag version face for the happy Frodo. New Gandalf legs are PERFECT. Your version is absolutely the best for him. Mwuah. Lastly, the old Mary was also better. I’d only switch out the legs for him. The rest, literally is perfect. And I prefer the older hair colors for every one, including Gimli. The new mold is better yes, but the old color is leagues better in my opinion.
The og LOTR figures are definitive interpretations in my mind. I think of those figures when I think of the characters, so seeing the new ones was very jarring. I’m also just not a fan of the trend of Lego’s graphic design lately. Lacking detail
Oh my gosh, I truly truly agree bro. Thank you for this. The only better thing from the new figs, is the dual molded legs. And I’m so glad there’s other people out there who think this way. The old Lego LotR was just before its time. And is still even better than now.

These custom figs were actually really cool. I would love to see a giant Rivendell MOC to go with them

Short cheek bone Legolas face is the most accurate looking face for Legolas
The new Legolas hair piece is just awful for him. Looks good on the other elves but for some reason it just doesn’t work on Legolas in my opinion.
