Not really the same. First off, the Colts still kept the Colts name. Baltimore fans would not have wanted to wear jerseys of a team that moved out on them in the middle of the night. There is horse-racing in Indianapolis (the basis for the name Colts in Baltimore) The Oilers changed their name to the Titans meaning that the Oilers name had no place in Tennessee. There is also no oil in Tennessee. The Columbia Blue is also synonymous with Houston culture and is not in Tennessee other than the Titans stadium (the Titans mostly wear navy blue by the way). Unlike the Colts, whose colors are not synonymous with Baltimore. The Lakers kept the name Lakers, unlike the Titans. The Lakers have built a separate culture from the Timberwolves, much like the Titans have developed a separate culture from the Texans, but they haven't worn the Oilers Jerseys after the name change before 2023. I acknowledge that the Oilers and Texans aren't the same thing, but the Oilers color scheme, uniforms, and name were all unique to the city of Houston (which donned the Columbia blue before the Oilers did) and not at all found in Tennessee.

1000% correct it’s HOUSTON blue! Always has been 🤘🏼
They are just having identity issues
Anyone from Houston still arguing this point is just nonsensical 😅 the HOUSTON oilers were CREATED by BUD ADAMS the city of Houston didn’t want to build a new stadium because the Astro dome was iconic and the city wouldn’t get behind the projectSOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Adams had contacts in Tennessee that said they would build a stadium for the Oilers but would take some time so BUD Adams the owner and creator of the Houston Oilers and their brand and color schemes he took to first Memphis then to Nashville in 97 where they were wait for it the Tennesee OILERS FOR 3 freaking yrs!!!!! Can we cut this out already go look at Eddie George or Steve McNairs draft jerseys it’s the freaking Oilers jersey’s Houston never Owned the oilers rts so stop complaining and having this little brother syndrome
The city of Houston possessed the colors before Bud Adams touched them.
Have fun watching them lose in those jerseys
@@owlonline604 It will indeed be fun seeing them lose in those jerseys again.
@@jakeetc7736 With any start-up there are both important issues and those rather mundane that must be addressed and the selection of team colors was done by Oilers owner Bud Adams.
@@owlonline604Didnt the Texans Beat Tennessee Oilers

The titans need a brand new color scheme anyway. Just to seperate themselves from Houston.
