I think it's rather brave that you are willing to share your life with us through your vlogs. You're just giving, not demanding anything in return. That's special, Brian!
Brian, as one of the original 30 want to say this is why we love you. You're reminding us that life is in the everyday. Now, I need to go hug my puppy. ❤
Just be you, the normal, 'unforced', natural content of your videos is what is appealing. Oh... and the dogs, and your cheeky grin! Can't forget those.. Take care 🙏🙂
Brian, I personally find your Vlogs refreshing and really entertaining. A real breathe of fresh air in what can be extremely challenging and difficult days. 36.2 other people hopefully think the same as me.
@melodybecker2309 LOL, But, it's not a good reason. I was adopted because of the ways I could enrich that family. Brian loves that dog and that dogs chosen him. But, I get you that people can easily be tempted when there are dogs in the videos.
Remember Brian your experiences/day/vlog are also being perceived by (in your case 36) individuals in various circumstances all over the world. I would say that the “adventure” of living in rural France is the first common thread that we share; but beyond that, we’ve discovered in you a very pleasant, helpful personality that we would to be around or perhaps even emulate. What may seem an ordinary boring day to you may be an escape for a person who has health issues and can’t get out. For me seeing the beauty of France and getting to know you a little through your vlogs gives me a little smile at the end of my day. No entertainment required just continue to be you.
Hello Irish!🍀 You don't need to post everyday. Just do it in your own time. We are happy to go on your adventures around rural France. You definitely aren't a failure, you are just talking to us about your life and what you get up to. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday!🦃🦃 Oh, and you accomplished another thing today, you made your fans happy!🥃🥂
Thanksgiving isn’t a “thing” in Europe, Britain, Australia, NZ and a whole host of other countries around the world. We all wish you a happy thanksgiving, but we don’t actually celebrate it ourselves. In fact, Google shows it’s observed in Canada, Germany, Liberia, T Lucia, the US,territories of the US and Canada and Norfolk Island.
Brian your vlogs are totally unique. I love that you’re just a natural born storyteller and it’s refreshing to hear so just talk about day to day life in a very laid back way. You’re doing what you do best and that’s just being you. 😘🇨🇮
hello yank! how rude to not call the man by his name.and how ignorant not to know that thanksgiving is not celebrated across the planet.in france nobody gives a damm about it,as brian is irish as i am myself, i don't see him celebrating your thanksgiving.dan and nick being british won't be partying either. another fine example from "the united mistakes of america"
@@paulloughlin1529geez you’re a bit of a grouch. Just because they forgot that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving doesn’t mean you have to be rude to not only them but to the whole country of America 🇺🇸.
@@paulloughlin1529Well, if that's not a miserable bitter attitude I don't know what is. Brian's video should've sweetened you up. Thanksgiving is basically a harvest tradition no doubt started by we native American Indians when we sat down with the Europeans who were starving. Both sides shared their cultural foods in a sort of tasting, to teach each other about foods of the old world and the new. Thanks was given to God by both sides. So then, it is what people the world over, do at harvest time, share and give thanks. Sustenance for the body and soul as well. The name of that gathering isn't as important but practicing it is, as fellowship. Brian spreads that to all of us and all he meets on his travels, both man and beast. I thank God for knowing Brian through his videos. Don't you also?
You don't need to put on a Broadway musical to keep us entertained. You can always sit by the fire and tell us a story, or read a favorite poem, whatever. We enjoy spending time with you.
Just to be clear Brian… you owe us nothing. You most certainly don’t owe us gobsmacking vlog after vlog. As you’ve stated… this is about “your life” in rural France. Your success is tied directly to your spontaneity in this three act play we call “the human condition”. In other words , we’re just looking for the day to day life of this guy named Brian as he “keeps on trucking !”. As everyone has stated before me: Thanks for taking us along for the ride.👍 🪜🔨🪛🏗️👍🇨🇦
Eric Idle, in his song "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life", said "if life seems jolly rotten, there's something you forgotten, & that's to laugh & smile & dance & sing"!
I can understand the introspection but just know that I love your vlogs. I love the relaxed style that you have. It's like catching up with a friend, natural & not forced. Your vlogs never fail to make me smile & feel good. Even if it's just a drone flying across woods & fields... there's something serene about it & I love it. Kinda feels like a much needed detox from the chaos & demands of everyday life 😊 xx
This is a very wise, timely observation. You're a caring, giving and introspective individual trying to do better every day. I think that makes you pretty darned successful in my books. Thank you Brian.
You’re a natural, Brian. I look forward to your vlogs, not because you’re doing something that will change the course of history, but because we get to hang out with you. You are enough just as you are. Believe it…we do.
Viewer #33 here: Bryan, you are beautiful, inside now, and your videos are a wonderful breath of fresh air every time you post! You should never ever doubt yourself, because you’re very special and we enjoy every moment! 🤗
Live your life as you do Brian. It makes for far better vlogs just being a natural you and a natural day. And if there’s days you don’t feel like doing it then that’s ok. We prefer it being natural. That what makes your channel enjoyable and engaging.
Sometimes we let ourselves overthink about our life, instead of living life. It’s so damn human of us, so there you go. Thank you for sharing this. It’s a needed reminder for me to get out of my head too. ❤
Love those 3 things that you planned for the day. If everyone could look at their days like this, the world would be a much better place. Love it Brian.
Keep doing what you are doing. You are the calm after the storm - as they say in the hectic Dan's world. Love just listening to your wise tales, coffee breaks and enjoy being taken around France - and tfd music! 😊
Being grateful is the biggest gesture you can give to yourself. You have not failed at all! I appreciate your honesty of fear of failure. We all experience that, but many wouldn't admit it. I appreciate your blog, look forward to it. You brighten up some peoples' life, for a few moments when you can. No pressure to perform. Thank you for the sunshine too, we didn't have any today where I am, as well as, a little bit of life realisations. Loved the Will Smith Joke, really tickled me! :)
Well Brian, if this is what you may perceive as a failure, just remember YOU are enriching my and others lives so very much, I love seeing all your adventures, and the jokes you share when at Dan's. I just love your posts, your life may be boring to you but they are so interesting to me and others and definitely more exciting than mine. Xx
There's no possibility of you failing. All 36 and a toe of us love to see the french country and wee towns, cafe's, 2nd hand shops and what ever you video. Sweet dreams.
Sometimes my days are very busy and sometimes they are boring to death. I don't like busy days ,they are exhausted for me and than I go early to my bed . In bed I watch vlogs, like yours Brian. And some vlogs are boring but yours never. And you don't fail to me.
Fear of failure is no easy task to work with. It's YOUR LIFE! Every day you wake up you have already met you first challenge/adventure. My main goal for all days is to make someone smile, even it's me. That makes one goal checked off when I repeated the Will Smith dad joke to my brother. Thanks for that Brian.
Amen, Brother! Preach! Lovely to listen to wise words and look at beautiful scenery while I put the finishing touches on the stew you inspired. It’s been a great day and I always enjoy ending it with a bit of rural France. Thanks Brian! ❤
hey brian love that joke from the chateau about fresh prince omg wicked you so bad lol carry on love the chill you bring and you aint failing at anything its the relaxed way you do vlogs that we love so chill
Hi Brian just do you, people will follow along on your journey or they won't. As long as it's fun for you and doesn't become tedious. The real people will always be there. Enjoying sharing your journey from rural Canada.
I hug a kitty every day. It's as good as hugging a doggy. You don't just make us laugh, you give us smile to go on our own days with. That's why we watch. Keep doing what you do, Brian. 😊
I honestly don’t know how you fit these vlogs into your day (glad you do). But aren’t you exhausted after a day up there at the chateau in all that horrendous weather and often freezing cold? Winters a time to hibernate!
Grwat advice Brian, there must be many people who watch your vlogs that were lifted up or totally understood the meaning of your message. Keep up the good work from a little old lady who grew up in London UK now living in Australia 💕🇦🇺
For some reason a story that interested me just came to mind that I read somewhere about Sir Christopher Wren and the construction of St Paul's Cathedral. It went something like this: Some of the construction workers were asked about their motivation on the project. One worker said 'I am building the cathedral to earn a living'. Another said 'I am building the cathedral to help Sir Christopher Wren'. A third worker said 'I am building the cathedral for the glory of God'. Also I am reminded of a book I once read called 'For Those I Loved' by Martin Gray. As I recall the author of the book concluded that the purpose of his life was to help others. I think hugging dogs and making people laugh fits into the category of helping others. Rural France is indeed pretty.
Hi from Downunder, I’m renovating a beach shack and some days it’s rather depressing as I can’t see the end of of the tunnel but I tune into your channel and you just brighten my day with your beautiful scenery and your witty personality. Thanks for being you, 🐨
Hello. Just take a moment to reflect you are renovating a beach shack and there are loads of people alive who have never seen the sea. I hope all goes well for you and that one day you can enjoy the fruits of your labours. 😊
Hi Catherine from NZ maybe I should start a utube channel of my renovations, I enjoy other renovators like Dan from Escape to Rural France as they give me a sense of I can do it so maybe it’s something to think about. 😉🐨
You really don't need to worry Brian, your channel shows who you are and what you like. You don't have to pretend like some others have to because they want to show themselves as they are not. Stay who you are because that is real and unique. I look forward to seeing your next vlog.
OMG Brian, you had my husband and LOLs when you said rainbows go to prisms and reflect on themselves 😂😂😂. Then the one about the dogs and cats can.😂. My husband is going around to a bar on 3rd in Chula Vista called "Bar Sin Nombre" which means bar without a name in English telling your jokes to the owners. Love it.
Brian, you are a beautiful person inside and out. You can never fail us-unless you stop-remember nearly 40 of us love you so far. You have luckily entered a new world with this vlogging. Far from any failure. Most of us feel the same way; unnecessarily. Keep on hugging, joking, and laughing. How lucky you are.🎉
We know the real reason you didn’t vlog last few days ….. Monique … he was off with Monique 😂 Just saying hi to us all would never be a failure silly. We appreciate your time and what you choose to share. Throwing a hug your way from Seattle. 💜
@@Brianslifeinfrancethank goodness! The Aunties were minutes away (maybe) from begging Stephanie to hire an appropriate woman, handy with tools, loves dogs and puns. She seems to be particularly talented in bringing people with kindred spirits together. ;)
Brian, my grandson passed suddenly of a spontaneously burst brain aneurysm at age 23, two years ago. His motto to live by had always been “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey”. You remind me of him. Enjoy your journey!
We are just tripping along in your video diairy you will enjoy lateron. As someone said in a comment: you bring life to us who are unable to go out, or help us to relax after a busy day, or ….. but the main thing is that you do it for you and then it will be wonderful for us 2. You are a value-add to our lives, but it is your life, please enjoy it yourself as how you see fit and then there never is failure, just an adventure!
Thank you for being so transperant with how you felt. Of course, we look for you and miss you when you're not there. That's a good philosophy to do something to make others happy. You're a good man, Brian!
Yes l understand what you mean. . You have become our friend we dont need adventures every days, and you should take all the time you need, it is your life . We are very privilege to share a bit of your life, Each one of us live the best we can where we are, and you do put a smile on our face just by being there, never mind what you do. A great grand mother from Australia, that grew up in France ❤ a bientôt!
You’re right and OH and I are grateful to you for showing us a side of rural France we rarely see. The sun rises on the wrong side for us and we’re always sitting in bed with a cup of tea at that hour. You made us laugh, (especially the Will Smith joke at the chateau), made us appreciate the beauty of the countryside and reminded us to get moving. Hugging a dog is obligatory round here. X
You couldn’t fail if you tried, I believe, because your natural chattiness and showing us rural France or showing us you doing chores at your house or at your neighbours. You’re a natural in front of the camera and we really enjoy your chats
Thanks Brian. I’m glad you had a successful day, and the joke was great, and Nicks reaction always priceless. 😅 Your drive into work is like no other in most people’s life. The beauty of the countryside, the architecture of the buildings and the bit of tranquility one would need before the job. No traffic jams to speak of. As for you fear of failure of doing a vlog, I think they’re all wonderful and I certainly don’t need a video full of adventure and activity to have me watch them, and you said from the beginning this is just about what you do in rural France with your life, that’s it, no fluff required. My TH-cam friends who have successful channels of their own struggle always with trying to create an interesting video full of content, and many times they just tell it like it is in their world, and many times they get more views on those than an adventure to a unique place they thought would get views. The old saying of “Jeep it simple stupid” comes to mind. Thanks as always Brian and we will see you soon. 👍
You do surprise me! I was right, you are a wise soul! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US, seems we have a lot to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving Brian and to everyone watching! 🥰
What? You deprived your two Aunties of bicep views for a couple days? ;) I'm glad to hear your musings on failure. It's a common reaction for many of us humans at a certain stage of Adulting. I suspect we learn in school that success and failure are rewards or punishment for our 'performance', but that's not how real life works, right? There are plenty of rich twits who leave trails of destruction and are considered successful, while we little dogs can make amazing contributions to our community but are considered failures because we don't own an iceberg house in London with a pool and spa in the basement. (I may have seen too many episodes of Grand Designs.) What do scheming Aunties and Grannies want for younger generations? That you have the opportunities to grow into the best version of yourself, that you find people who love you for who you are and that you have the opportunity to produce marvelous things (whether it's kids, arts, crafts or new ways of living). Hugging dogs and making people laugh exceeds our expectations. You had us at biceps ;)
What a great Thanksgiving vlog for those of us in the US. I’m thankful you’re showing me a part of France that I will never see with my own eyes. So I’m seeing it through your eyes. Happy holidays from Arkansas.
I just enjoy your company & wonderful spirit … on our Thanksgiving day I’m thankful for your generosity & gift of sharing good cheer. Thank you for being yourself…a good & honest man. Look forward to your jokes & Nick’s reactions!
We love you being you Brian. Don't change anything. (The hardest part of life is, being your authentic self. And accepting yourself as you are). 🫶Love your Vlogs Brian. Cheers and Thank You 🥂🍻 Karen 🇦🇺🦘🦘🐨🐨

How lucky you are.🎉
Such a lovely morning drive for the…now…36 of us.
Ahahahaha i know which dog you'll be hugging😉 That puppy loves you ❤
We know the real reason you didn’t vlog last few days …..
Monique … he was off with Monique 😂
Just saying hi to us all would never be a failure silly. We appreciate your time and what you choose to share. Throwing a hug your way from Seattle. 💜
😄 I've been found out! We eloped 😄
@ ELOPED ??
….. Nic let’s skip lunch meet me at the chapel noon tomorrow please 😂💋
@@Brianslifeinfrance Congratulations!! ❤😂🎉😊
@@Brianslifeinfrance 😂😂😂
@@Brianslifeinfrancethank goodness! The Aunties were minutes away (maybe) from begging Stephanie to hire an appropriate woman, handy with tools, loves dogs and puns. She seems to be particularly talented in bringing people with kindred spirits together. ;)
Brian, my grandson passed suddenly of a spontaneously burst brain aneurysm at age 23, two years ago. His motto to live by had always been “it’s not the destination, it’s the journey”. You remind me of him. Enjoy your journey!
❤
We are just tripping along in your video diairy you will enjoy lateron. As someone said in a comment: you bring life to us who are unable to go out, or help us to relax after a busy day, or ….. but the main thing is that you do it for you and then it will be wonderful for us 2. You are a value-add to our lives, but it is your life, please enjoy it yourself as how you see fit and then there never is failure, just an adventure!
Thank you for being so transperant with how you felt. Of course, we look for you and miss you when you're not there.
That's a good philosophy to do something to make others happy. You're a good man, Brian!
your right, one should hug a dog everyday and you need a border collie just like Dan, you be so happy if you did🐶
Yes l understand what you mean.
You could never fail Brian.....just be you, doing "you" things. Im just happy to "have a chat " and sharing in your day.
You’re right and OH and I are grateful to
you for showing us a side of rural France we rarely see. X
I love your vlogs, no matter what you do. They really put a smile on my face.
Your drive into work is like no other in most people’s life.
You hugged some dogs, had a laugh, made others laugh and shared your fun with us. Happy to just watch you potter. Thank u for this❤
Bang on with everything!!
I was laughing !! Ty 👍🌞🖐
Lovely ride to work and enjoyed your rainbow joke. Bless you and the other 29
Just keep on telling jokes on Dan’s channel! The expressions on the recipient are hilarious!😊❤
I adore the brilliance of a good philosophical chat to oneself ( and 30 others) one of life’s greatest joys. Thanks Brian. You made my day.
I liked your rainbow joke, Brian, but I’ve been laughing out loud remembering the MRI joke ever since. Thanks for that.
Me too but can only remember rainbow and prisms and that it was funny - geez.
You do surprise me! I was right, you are a wise soul! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the US, seems we have a lot to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving Brian and to everyone watching! 🥰
I don’t remember if I passed this one on or not… Past, Present and Future all ended up at a bar at the same time, it was Tense…..!!!!
What? You deprived your two Aunties of bicep views for a couple days? ;)
I'm glad to hear your musings on failure. (I may have seen too many episodes of Grand Designs.)
What do scheming Aunties and Grannies want for younger generations?
That you have the opportunities to grow into the best version of yourself, that you find people who love you for who you are and that you have the opportunity to produce marvelous things (whether it's kids, arts, crafts or new ways of living).
Hugging dogs and making people laugh exceeds our expectations. You had us at biceps ;)
Thanks for the Opus reference! Made me chuckle.
It was really a very nice day in rural France. Here at the lake of Constance we had fog the whole day‼️🇨🇭
Fog can be beautiful too.
Wise words Brian! Live your life for you and no one else 😊
Hey Brian, love everything you do. Thanks for sharing your life with us 😀gday from Australia
We love you being you Brian. Don't change anything. (The hardest part of life is, being your authentic self. And accepting yourself as you are). 🫶Love your Vlogs Brian. Cheers and Thank You 🥂🍻 Karen 🇦🇺🦘🦘🐨🐨
Brian your forth achievement of the day was making all 36 of us very happy to see you! Stunning scenery 👌 😍
