Hey there ...jumping the gun already, as I do follow your videos. Just hoping that if you show the e53 (with headlight washers) you show people it's probably easier to take the front bumper off and replace the xenon's / hid's with LED'S that way... especially if you have an automatic gearbox ... Sorry to make an early comment...i just did this two days ago and it was heaps easier than removing the front wheel as some videos show... Keep up the epic work guys!!!!:)
Ironically enough I made this almost identical change on my 2000 E53 X5 several years ago, but didn't make a video of it. Changed from oem incandescent to bi-xenon with halos.
You lost me at 3:15, it's very confusing at that point about what light is on your knee (the old one or new one) so I just gave up. I'm also confused about why I need to change my headlights on my 2003 530i... they look awful and having just bought the car I assumed I'd have someone buff the plastic lenses clear again... is that not possible?
The upgrade is more than just the plastic lenses but a full change to auto-leveling bi-zenon headlights. Massive difference to put it mildly and absolutely worth it
@@BMWDIYGuy Right, I get that part, the car you're working on is an older model. I do want the Xenon bulbs since they're brighter so I can see better at night. My car is 2003, so I think I probably have them, didn't the Xenon lights start in model year 2002? But I will still have to buff the lens back to clear looking in order to get good road lighting effect. I've only had the car a week, so there are a few things to do, the drivers seat had the twisted condition, car needs a new battery, and the headlights.

My corner marker doesn’t have 3 wires. I have a bmw e53 2003 3.0i
Hopefully this worked out for you, but yes, depending on the year you have two or three wires. You probably have the updated LCI, as the preLCI had 3.
Is there a kit to get rid of expenses hid 35 volt head light 2005 bmmw. X5 to regular headlights 12v
Great question.. make sure to check out Umitza as they have a ton of options.
Don’t use these crap wire taps, they will give you trouble eventually. Just solder, that looks better also.
Just once, could you have said what LCI stands for?
