Excellent tutorial! The facelift headlights and rears make a huge difference, as does the steering wheel

Huge thank you for the video! I have one question. All the videos I find of people doing this have ballasts in their pre-facelift headlights already. Mine do not. Is the process the same, or will I have extra steps? Cheers.

Hi, where can i find those 4 connectors? I've searched a bot online but can't seem to find them. Do they have a specific name?

I don’t understand. Your car has pre facelift headlights, but round facelift foglights.
That being said, it’s nice to see that you know what you are doing with the lights.

Thank you for making this. Congrats this makes such a big difference. I assume for facelift cars it's direct plug and play? I need to bite the bullet and order these.

Yup should be plug and play for facelift cars.

I have an 03 E53 X5 I converted to HID's and I do not have the wire harness for the auto leveling motors. Do you have any idea how I could splice them in? I have four unutilized plugs with three wires each. Two on each side basically and I believe one set is for the halo running lights but I still haven't been able to find an answer for a whole second plug. The motors are all 4 wires I believe but not sure which colors the wires should be

Great video I just had 1 question do you always have to do the soldering part bec my new headlight it has these extra white and black lights but what is that exactly for?

    • @ShiftedPerspective

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, send me an email: shiftedperspectivellc@gmail.com

Shouldn’t the marker lights come on with the halos?

    • @patricksweeney9184

Facelift euro headlights don't have marker lights, which are required for state inspections (ie, Virginia). My car just failed because of these exact same lights so I'm having to revert to US spec in order to pass inspection.
The marker lights on US spec headlights are illuminated via a fiber optic cable from the angel eye socket.

    • @ShiftedPerspective

Yup! A single headlight from BMW is more than that.

This is not a retrofit! You just replaced the headlight....

    • @ShiftedPerspective
      @ShiftedPerspective  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

it's not a plug and play, you have to rewire the factory wires and add a connector which is why I said retrofit.
