That $38 keyboard is literally a Redragon K552 without the RGB. I have it and the layout, keys and frame look exactly the same. Also I paid 32 bucks for mine with RGB.

@@deanaltshuler6493 yes. There is a rainbow and rgb one. Rainbow is just static rgb, and rgb is full customisation per key. At least I think so.

They are using the Amazon prices for the Monoprice stuff, rather than Monoprice's site. The prices are lower directly from Monoprice. The $6.59 HDMI cable for example is $4.39 from Monoprice's site.
That's a never-ending rabbit hole to go down. "Oh, hey. You could have had it for 35¢ cheaper on a sale during these three nanoseconds from this other sketchy site!"
The reason for using the default brand pricing from their own site is that it can be relied upon to not very particularly much.
Shipping is not free on Monoprice's site. Amazon prices usually have prime or free shipping.
@@bustopherjones2285 OK but that monitor is 319.99 on Monoprice not 400 so that covers all the shipping. That also assumes that those things are all Prime...and you of course are paying for shipping with your Prime membership depending on how much you order. Oh, and that monitor is 429 on Amazon at the moment

I’m pretty sure that he’s talking about LMG in general. Like “hey we use it here at the office, specifically for techquickie”. Because knowing Colton (and how he doesn’t want Linus butchering sponsor spots), as well as the editors, they’d easily ask Linus to redo it if it’s wrong.
The Mono Price 5 Watt Tube Guitar amplifier is actually very good. I have heard good things about their 15 watt version as well. The Guitars in general have been better than expected for the price.

I had all monoprice peripherals with my first PC build in high school. Keyboard, 5 button mouse, cables, a gel wrist rest mousepad that i'm still using to this day 8-9 years later, etc.

lucas rem Actually, for gaming not only will a smaller display make games look a little sharper, just because of how PPI works, but you will be able to actually see the whole screen instead of constantly moving your eyes around to look for enemies.

Im pretty sure even Linus would laugh at this. He isnt THAT knowledgeable in tech, he has a GREAT script and research team behind him though. Linus' knowledge has necessarily become extremely broad and is primarily in presenting, production and project management now. Much of the deeper tech stuff is Anthony, he is kinda amazing.
@@mycosys it is true that Linus does not have all the information that is presented in the video but if he wasn't cool and had a way to influence people and make their viewers interested in watching his content then no brand will ever sponsor him and keep his review in amazon product (image) and he would not be able to pay his employees. So, Linus is the leader and his employees are his soldiers

for DS emulation and splitscreen gaming this is good.
Spending $400 to have a 480p DS game on each screen is a waste of money. Many emulators let you resize the windows anyway and both can fit on a single monitor.

you should consider reviewing Kogan's 144hz monitor for $219 AUD, so like 150 USD.. except it is in australia, but still.. 150 usd, that's cheap as right?

2:37 There's a niche of weirdos that beg for gamepad + mouse support with every release of most games. I'm one of them. Analog movement + mouse aiming is the best. One problem, a lot of games switch in game gfx depedning on what you use and worse, some only allow one or the other at the same time or the game stops working for a fraction of a second upon "switching" ..
Gamepad (left side) + mouse have more than enough input combined to make any game where aiming and precise movement are key playable.

I have that monitor.
Samsung, Viotek MSI, and others have a monitor with the same panel. The issue isn't the panel itself but rather the overdrive setting. Set it to advanced and you'll be much better off. It's still not the greatest in the world but it will be better.
Getting James on camera more was definitely a great idea.

Yeah, I have an HDMI extension cord I use for my Rift, and it's shit now and if I move my PC at all it slides right out, when he said locks on display ports were dead, I was wondering why I love mine so much then lmao... Granted it's the one and only display port cord I've ever owned, but I love that it locks in and I don't have to worry about it. I wouldn't mind if it was ultra-slim like that HDMI, but alas.

@Jake's RC Their Select Mini is likely the most common 3D printer on Earth. Very easy to setup. Just pull it out of the box, attach the spool holder, level the bed, that's it. There's a huge user community, the Facebook group for the printer stopped counting new members when it hit 6 or 7 thousand. They just keep coming. It's such a popular printer there are several cheap clones and knockoffs with similar designs.
Yes I do like them myself. Especially when I picked one up for 70 usd. 😋
