still waiting for "we're not banging rocks together here we know how to ..."
Make my own thermal paste? Nah, i prefer to just weld my heat sink to my CPU. Much better temps.
Actually this would be a interesting video idea in line with this one. Why not solder the cpu to a cooler. They’ve done more idiotic ideas in the past. Why not give this a shot.
@@zaxfee. They could try soldering it to the CPU lid. If they did it with the processor still attached it would melt the silicon chip.
JB weld
Kinda Mike Only if it’s an RTX 2080 Ti, and any intel chip from the past 6 years. Otherwise you just get some pretty pathetic fission, gross
ha imagine trying to get the cpu out
Welcome to Alex-RileyTechTips, this video sponsored by Peanut Butter and Toothpaste
Riley in this video is like Alex when making a video with Linus "we don't need to drain the loop" Sebastian.
I laughed at this greatly.
Riley keeps Alex in check, Alex keeps Linus in check, and Linus keeps Riley in check.
Just finally watching this and other than the VERY old set and the fact the Riley almost looks like a different person this could well have been made last week.
They did this with a cpu that costs more than entire my entire setup
@@auquitaine9201 a BIT late?
@@TrixTM I mean I've replied to like 10 year old comments
Lmao its worth 3x my pc
And scratched it to shit... haha
"entire my entire setup"
Linus should go on vacations more, I'm loving Alex-Riley-James hosting on main channel
Just bring back Ivan too
Edit: sad to hear about Ivan
Ivan got fired. Or at least left on not so positive terms.
@@DelightfulWalrus how do you know?
@@NirateGoel Dang, that's a bummer. I also heard John moved back to the US? Does he still work for LTT?
Finally a new entry in the "When Linus Isn't Home" series!
CyberMage107 someone should make a playlist of this.
Personally I just stick welded my cooler to my CPU's IHS, no gaps there. It stays really cool, completely room temperature in fact. Mind you, it doesn't actually do anything anymore. Maybe the grounding clamp was too tight?
0:22 "Your pick some up from NCIX" That would be pretty hard to do now :)
I'm pretty sure he meant it jokingly lol
That one went straight over my head as I got so used to that line in the past ... thanks for pointing it out :)
This was the best part
these two capture luke and linus energy so well. i stopped watching for about a year and this is exactly what i want to come back to. I want more videos of these two just doing their thing
Alex and Riley are like alternate dimension versions of Luke and Linus.
"Pick some up from NCIX"
Right.. For a second there I forgot we're in 2019 and not in 2016.
I have to leave a comment, this is my favorite video with either of these two, I mean here I am 5 years later and I still come back to watch it. I just love the style and slight awkwardness of them but the jokes and editing are *chefs kiss*
You guys are such a good combination in these videos. I was laughing so hard.
Riley and Alex is such a great combo
IC Diamond is actually 95% diamond by weight if I remember correctly. And can have particles up to 40 microns in it.
But when I've looked at it under the microscope I seen nothing bigger than a few micron. Most one or 2.
Yeah they had way too much grease.
I love how one of the hosts at the end is Alexander "Nutella" Clark.
Buys $2000 processor. Doesn't have $10 for thermal paste
Noctua NT-H1 is $7
might have forgotten to put it in the cart and you need to play fortnite RIGHT NOW.
@@Humstuck So that you can pay even more for your Vbucks?
@@ej_tech Thats not the point of the joke

Hehehe the cake is a lie hehehe
It's part of "Still Alive".
"no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of" CPUs
cant belive you guys missed the golden opportunity of making a real reaction video with Linus after this. that would have been gold.
OK so the ratio we're supposed to use is around 60-40.
Erm, I'm just gonna eye-ball it then.
Yep.
It's just almost half of one and a little more than half for the other. Simple stuff!
3:14 *SO YOUR DECIDE TO USE A 7980XE AND A RTX ON A FRIKKIN LAB EXPERIMENT?!*
You will get used to it soon !
Welcome to Linus Media Group
Yeah, Im new. By about 3 months.
Thanks for the anticipations.BTW.
I love these "Linus isn't here" videos.. lol
