      The Ethiopian homeland is Ethiopia. Ethiopian jews are indigenous to the Ethiopian highlands. We airlifted them into Israel in the 1980s and 1990s, and before that, they had never been to Israel.

      @@1995yuda Ethiopian jews are jews, but they are indigenous to the Ethiopian highlands. They started out as a lost tribe sect in the 15th century, and they were affirmed as jews by a rabbinical decision. They had to undergo a proper conversion to Judaism when they were airlifted into Israel. Check their DNA results and the encyclopedia page for them that makes clear they formed in the 15th century AD, melonhead.

    • @1995yuda
      @1995yuda ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@CoolhandLukeSkywalkr Ethiopian Jews are Fist Temple Exile Jews, mostly Men, who married non-israelite Ethiopian Women because they had no other choice. Their Conversion was in fact a Re-Conversion, and they are Indigenous to ISRAEL.

    • @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr
      @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@1995yuda You're discussing Ethiopian mythology. According to the encyclopedia, the only genuine "lost tribe" is the Samaritans. Do you believe that all Ethiopians are Hebrew by bloodline? All 117 million of them? The actual history of Beta Israel is that they are ex-Christians. They formed as a lost tribe sect in the 15th century AD. They carried around a copy of the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian Bible, Ge'ez translation. They have no other ancient Abrahamic text. They celebrate the Sigd every year since they formed, in the 15th century AD. Beta Israel Ethiopians have a specific tribe: Agaw. Some Agaw are pagan, some are Muslims, some are Christian, and a small minority in the Agaw community left Christianity after a millennia and started Beta Israel. It did not exist until the 15th century AD. This is extremely well-established. If you research Agaw tribesmen in the encyclopedia, it discusses their ancient culture, and it mentions that some of them went on to become the Beta Israel community. If you're claiming Ethiopians are indigenous jews, in spite of the DNA results that prove otherwise, then you may as well claim bantus, and Anglo-Saxon, and Aryans are lost Hebrew tribes, while your at it. The oldest lost tribe sects are European. Adolf Hitler claimed ancient jews were Aryans, you claim they were Ethiopians. Samaritans, Ashkenazi, Sephardi, and Mizrahi cluster together in one singular racial group on the DNA results. No other groups cluster around us. Therefore, they are either gentiles, converts, or else like in the case of Yemenite and Bene Israel jews, they are so watered down with gentile ancestry that they no longer cluster around the Southern Levantine iron age groups of Canaanite/Hebrews. I'm correct on this. You're suffering from an intense confirmation bias. You already have your mind made up, even though you're proven wrong, but you are trying to use Ethiopian mythology or cases of isolated jews who may have wandered through ancient Aksum, and now you make outlandish claims. You're very upset that I'm more knowledgeable about this than you are. Don't shoot the messenger.

I admire the Jewish people for bringing all the Jewish people from around the world to find a sanctuary in Isreal. However, the work is not complete yet until the PALESTINE people find peace and prosperity as the Jewish people did. After all we are all human beings regardless of race, religion, and creed.

    Your endurance in the face of mountainous prejudice is incredible. Know that being different in one form or another is always a giveaway prerequisite to be accepted or rejected in one form or another. This problem is not just within Israel or with Israeli society. It is common disease we all humans carry within us. The best thing you can do is continue being strong in defending your being different. Our prayers are with you all. Thank you for sharing!

      Lol, what a stupid comment. Beta Israel Ethiopians were airlifted into Israel to save them from their own kind. They suffered from Black on Black violence. We Mediterranean Caucasians airlifted these Nilotes into Israel to protect them from Christian and Muslim Nilotes. It honestly doesn't get any more egalitarian or any less racist than that.

Beta Israel Ethiopians were Christians for a thousand years prior to their conversion to a lost tribe Judaism sect in the 15th century AD. Their only script is the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian Bible. They simply started to ignore the New Testament beginning in the 15th century AD.

      Chai, Coolhand is misleading and mis informing you! The Ethiopian "Bete Israelis" are the Lost Tribe of Dan! They were/are always Jewish! We the Orthodox Christians of the Northern parts of Ethiopia are Judeo-Christians! Meaning, when Christianity came, our Ancestors converted to Christianity! Therefore, we still have the Ark of the Covenant Replicas in every Orthodox Church! I think, Coolhand is one of those Anti-Ethiopian Woyane Tigrayan Rebel supporter ( Funded by Egypt and other Arabs to stop us from building the Nile Dam!) That is why, he deliberately, continously spreading Grey Propagandas, discrediting the real stories of the Ethiopian Jewish! The best thing to do is to go to Ethiopia and visit the Historical places, Museums, Library Archives and talk to Scholars of Ethippian History!

    Another dynamite piece. Great coverage and a great piece with a phenomenal guest. I have also noticed the strange way people within the Jewish community like to segment themselves when Torah so explicitly states no such distinction in how to treat one's fellow. The Ethiopians kept true to the teachings.

    First time I came to visit Israel
    I had an Ethiopian taxi driver. He brought me to the hotel I was staying in Jerusalem. When he heard that I was dating a black man, he was shocked, and he asked me if I like black people, and I said that I do. He was so happy to hear when I told him black people are beautiful. At the time I didn’t understand his surprised reaction, I get it now.
