This is where many dermatologist I feel are lacking in knowledge beyond what they learn in medical school. It would be helpful to partner with a skilled cosmetologist as a consult to assist in the proper hair/scalp regime that would be a benefit in dealing with patients with my hair type.

@John Levison When I was 36 I had the same problem with my legs and feet and my hair was falling out. It got so bad that blood was coming out of my skin with the fluid. I ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks. The doctor told me that I had vasculitis in my feet and legs and my blood count was messed up. I have cutaneous lupus.... it (so far) only affects my arms. The itching is beyond bearable. I'm on medication (Hydroxychloroquine), a steroid ointment and still I itch.
