Just imagine how some Sherman crews felt when encountering Japanese tanks, they're scarred from encounters with Tigers that saw many fellow Shermans being utterly destroyed and now they suddenly are the most powerful tank in this stage of the war.

@Atinverd That combat scene was completely and utterly retarded. First of all, the fury would've been the first tiger kill. Secondly, assuming the Tiger doesn't kill the fury, the range is more than colse enough for the whole battle for the standard AP of a sherman 76 to punch through. Thirdly, the tiger would have never charged the shermans and vice versa. Fourthly, no sherman that isn't a jumbo bounces any of the tigers shells.
That fight scene is just completely retarded and not an example of how any fight would've gone down.

One of my favorite ww2 stories of all time was from a crusader captain. His tank honest to god actually jumped a ravine in a similar manner as in the show. Which he even had to admit was ridiculous. On that same day they got ambushed by a german anti air gun that peppered them with 20mm shells which he later found sticking out of his tanks armor which was wierd.. they should have bounded off. So wondering why it was that his particular tank.happened to be faster and mode nimble than every other tank in the company and also why these supposedly harmless AA rounds had done some damage he took it to the quarter master who checked its serial number. It turns out that this particular tank was a TRAINING model and had HALF the armor of a combat tank... the funny thing is this tank had served for over 2 years in combat... and when offered to switch it out for an unarmored combat tank the crew said no. It was their lucky tank after all! So that's the story of a british cruiser training tank that fought the whole damn war and survived.
I think that made it stronger.

The Ferris wheel roll is a nod to the Steven Spielberg movie "1941" where a similar scene happened. It's the movie Rabbit team were watching prior the match. It's also called operation Mifune as a nod to actor Toshiro Mifune who stars in the film.
At 6:14 that military strategy game looks a lot like Kriegspiel, designed in the early 1800’s in Prussia. It was used during WW2 for German officer cadet training
Its a t-95 that looses its tracks and becomes a t-28
correct the T-95 was an upgraded T-28 with added tracks to each side. It starts as a T-95 then loses the outer tracks to make it thinner and becomes a T-28. I don't think in real life this was able to be done as shown in the movie but there it is.

You can read Yukiyukite senshadou series (Oneshot, pravda, and kuromorimine) if you REALLY want a realistic plot. it has some hentai scenes but there are few and are irrelevant to the ture depression of the plot. Also you will get depressed at the end

This OVA takes place during the original tournament where the Ōarai school faces off against the Italian Anzio high School. You'll get to see some of the Italian tanks not in the rest of the series.

The board game being played is 'Panzer Leader"(1974). A highly accurate recreation of western front WW2 mobile tactics featuring faithful reproduction of WW2 armoured and infantry units. It also had a sister game 'Panzer Blitz"(1970) for the Eastern Front. The specific board being showed is the map for the Normandy area scenarios.
