This was such a fun video, Marlene! I think my fav thoth tarots are the Asherah and Outgrow yourself, but I don’t think I’ve gotten far enough along in my study to justify snagging them up just yet 😅 thanks for the inspo!!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I see those decks as wonderful learning tools and I used Outgrow Yourself right at the beginning while studying Thoth. Of course, it’s up to you, but it’s an amazing deck regardless.

Hi Marlene! New subscriber here and to a few tarot channels, although I've been using tarot since the 1990's. I enjoy your videos. It occurs to me that because your intention is to share this with viewers, maybe this card pull is not meant for you and that's why it's not resonating with you. In fact, you pulled it while filming the video. So maybe it's meant for the collective. The world is in a bad place in a number of ways, and maybe we all need to take heed of this message in interpreting events taking place around us. I love the clarifying decks!

I'm not much of a Thoth reader, but I do have a few Thoth inspired decks. The Cosmic Tribe is a techno-pagan/urban-primitive deck from the late 90's. Lot's of nudity, 3 lovers cards (straight, gay, lesbian couples), and 1 or 2 nonbinary or transgender people. It's funky but awesome, definitely classic. Then there's the Vision Quest Tarot, which isn't straight up Thoth but seriously Thothy. And then the Tarot of Vampyres has some Thothy influences. Tho it's mostly RWS. And it's super appropriate for this time of year. All are great decks, tho Vision Quest is my favorite.

i really want to study the thoth, but all that astrology, Kabbalah and everything feels too much for me😔
i do have a few thoth inspired decks though that i love. Cosmic Tarot and Urban Tarot, both MM. And I'm thinking about getting the Zillich Tarot, it looks so pretty.
Maybe I need to study anyway so I get more of of them :D
I totally understand! To be honest, you don’t have to study any of that to use the Thoth unless you really want to. However, if you’re interested in astrology and Kabbalah you can take it bit by bit. Literally card by card. I realized that my interest in those topics is tarot specific and the study of them became much less intimidating. I also think having Thoth inspired decks has helped me learn. Thanks so much for watching!
It was an odd description this time wasn't it? I also use the crowley tarot blue book and it's one of my favorites. I think if any of the various thoth study books are going to habe anything different it's going to be that one for sure.
There’s so much to dive into when considering the archetype of the devil. I think I sometimes narrow my focus too much and it’s good to get into the books and expand. Thanks for watching!
