I enjoyed this arc. Yeah Lucifero fell a bit short (that's something we can all agree on) but there were some epic moments throughout as well. Everyone is acting as if no other manga has ever had a couple disappointing moment.. -____- nothing is perfect and Tabata is only human. People really expect him to generate the absolute perfect story throughout the entire series, pleasing every individual, every single chapter, every single week.
I'm excited to see where Black Clover goes next!
I don't see how he fell short. He was at %50 and still took out everyone except the main 4 fighters. The only reason they were able to hang is because their magic countered Luciferos. Nact and Yami countered him with darkness by nullifying most of his magic, Yuno's star magic allowed him to teleport himself and others out of danger, and Asta has anti magic. Lucifero does not posses a grimioire, which is why his magic was basic. What I like about Black clover is that it is not all about power, and strategies play an important role in this series.
To be honest in the end everyone got Mimosa'd , but i guess this Black Clover.
@@csmit04 people keep saying that grimoire excuse and the fact is devils don’t need a grimoire for their magic. Lucifero was just a terrible big bad. No special moves, no good dialogue. The problem this arc has is there is no stakes, no one dies on black clover so everyone knew that the main character was gonna win. It’s a shonen trope but is especially bad here because there’s no stakes anywhere in this series
@@steohara6353 They don't need it to use their magic, but they do need it to refine it. Like how Yuno was able to use his wind magic to help around the village, but The grimiore gave him a boost, and allowed him to casr sophisticated spells. Also if they did not need the Grimiore, Zagreed would not have gone through the trouble of obtaining one.
Stop excusing bad writing. This is more than just a slight dissapointment, the villain who got so much build up was reduced to a doormat and got dunked on. No writer needs to be perfect to avoid something like this, its just something you do not do to your villain.
I swear less people would have hated it if they had just switched the roles of Adramelech and Lucifero.
But I am curious to see where the story goes from here though. Lucifero isn't dead yet, so I wonder if Tabata will try to make him better in some way.

This is a good example of Devils always having their own agenda. They really don't care about each other unless on of them is the strongest.
This probably was the plan from the start due to him not being 100% and him allowing the magic knights to take them down he’s probably waiting for opportunity.

Since Lucifero has been born superior to every other devil, he didn’t need to learn how to fight. He usually just brute forces everything with his unmatched strength. However, Asta has gone against a bunch of foes with better fighting skills than himself. I think Asta won because of devil union AND because of his fighting experience with each battle having his life on the line.

8:24 Magna is the G.O.A.T. His power up was the best in this entire arc, in my opinion.
I definitely loved that spell. Makes me wonder if Jack will be reading some books to get more powerful? He did see Magna use knowledge, spells, in order to compensate for his lack of power. It was a smart move on Magna to go to Zora for help. I want to see more spells coming from Magna, Zora and so forth. That would be the best way to win future battles.
Just think if the Captains used those spells. They would be powerful.
I’m probably on some copium, but I don’t care. I enjoyed this arc. Had some cool fight scenes. Saw a devil fight a devil, and another devil fight a devil. Cool shit I guess
That moment when the Main Villain has to leave because the MC Plot armor is too OP.
I felt nothing for this chapter. I knew there was a 0% chance that Yami or Nacht was going to die. So there wasn’t any tension at all. Instead of me being glad Charlotte confessed, I has to eye roll at the fact That Yami heard nothing. Great…. Back to square one. All in all this arc had amazing potential and the beginning was crazy but man did it have 💩💩💩 ending. How tf do you have a war with no casualties???

No one died in this arc. Literally was the best chance to make the story more darker.
Technically plenty people died goldendawn pretty much lost most members,I don’t really even know how the diamond kingdom is going to work anymore with what Zeno did and well the spade villains kicked the bucket. So plenty death only ones who didn’t die were those who “miraculously” got saved in the nick of time by the same exact character. Memosa ex machina

The Spade Kingdom Invasion Arc is…ok to say the least, also Yami becoming half demon/devil is kind of intriguing to be honest, also I would’ve imagine the thought of Charlotte leaving the Blue Rose Knights & join the Black Bulls, just to be with Yami, in spite of Vanessa’s reaction to this!!
Charlotte is a captain. If she left the Blue Roses to join the Black Bulls, she would have no rank. I can't see Charlotte doing that, can you? She might as well marry him and become a house wife like Hinata in Boruto.
It would be kind of funny for an episode, but at the end she goes back to being a captain.

This was a 7.5 out of 10 for me Tabata fumbled the bag at the end with Lucifero and Mimosa but he did. Provide some great moments with this arc however guys just because this arc is over doesn't mean that the devil saga is over we just need to see what happens next

Your explanation about devils having very little emotion is one of the reasons why I don’t think Lucifero would have worked as a great final antagonist despite the buildup he got. I’m willing to bet that Adrammelech is working with another human in this world, and they each have their own respecting plans for their own worlds (for example, Adrammelech could be planning on becoming King of devils but has no interest in the human world at all, while the person he’s working with plans to take over the human world).
I feel like this series is scarily coming close to what happened to Fairy Tale.

You don't call a devil Lucifero and make him this redundant and lackluster only to introduce someone else more powerful, regardless of the Lore and story, Lucifero is always at the peak of evil.
This arc was an introduction to the big devils, nothing more. That is why you see one devil take Lucifero's heart. There is a bigger plot ahead, the real threat.

@@Julems - Lore wise? There is not that much lore wise in Black Clover about the Underworld. If there was, we would know who trapped them down there in the first place. We would know what was the reason for them being trapped, which we can actually guess and get it right. We would know what happened to the Dwarves. A species does not stop and die over. The Dryad, we do not know anything about. How did the strong magic regions happen, that separate regions?
Lore wise, we only know a little about the devils; more on the elves and Clover Kingdom only. That is the only lore we have.

Adramelech is interesting, really different from the other devils and Beelzebub that only talked to Zenon once the whole arc, surprised that Tabata kept him in mystery as well as Lucifugus and the 4th Zogratis.
I wonder if those devils are working together to do something big?
I really feel like the other devil will try to somehow absorb lucifero's power or use his heart for some big bs

Ay Plot Armor, despite the recent controversy (with some valid points) thanks for still covering the manga. Hoping the best for Black Clover, it has its lows, but I definitely still think the series has more to offer.
After this arc, I don't trust the next villain will be all that threatening given how there's no tension in this story anymore.

This chapter was so ridiculous that it legitimately made me laugh. But at least Charlotte's cute blushing moment made things a little better. I almost have 0 faith in the villains now. Whatever future villain we'll get will probably just be another victim of the plot. I wonder if Adramelech can redeem the villains with whatever he has in store.

@@anonymousnekokamikannakamui my dude even dragon ball z. the most basic out of all shonen, actually made some villains a threat and gave the heroes consequences. Vegeta and Nappa killed 90% of the z fighters and including piccolo which was their jail free card (he died and thus the dragon balls were deemed useless). then there was a whole arc made to return things the way they were and everyone lived happily (minus goku since he decided to stay somewhere else and train for bigger threats).
we aren't into torture things like Danganronpa or horrific scenery like Berserk. But we do want the story to be cohesive and clear and not 24/7 free of consequences. Even one piece has consequences as many other characters that were important to the main characters, story and world had consequences to their actions. Heck even Dragon Ball Super had consequences to the actions of the z fighters (i feel like there should've been MORE consequences considering the many breaking of rules have been done. *cough* *cough* TIME TRAVELING *cough* *cough*)

Yami as a character is truely amazing. His vice captain, Asta, luck are amazing too.
I think adrammelech is going to place where zogratis siblings got there devil powers from.
Yuno will now make a decision if he should stay at the spade kingdom and rebuild his kingdom or go back to clover kingdom.
The last chapters of this arc is trash tho.
It’s a 50/50 on one hand he along with finral brother and William slowly build the “strongest magic squad” or the other do what he’s meant to take his place as king in the spade nation

It is based. People do have short memories. Does everyone know the first big bad in Black Clover? Answer the Eye of the Midnight Sun. They had a scheme of their's. Then we find out that Elves were the big threat. Later on we learned all just misdirection. It turned out that all of that was an introduction to the Devil, that was behind it all. The Spade Devils' arc was all an introduction to the big bad devils. There is something else, that is far worse, which requires the heart of Lucifero.
Tell me this: was there a war between the heavens and the devils? We do not know, but we can determine that, since the devils were under lock and key. That would give us a hint that there are other beings out there and that there was a war. That would mean there were probably stronger devils or something else enitrely out there.
I rather enjoyed this whole arc, even Lucifero's ignominious defeat, since his defeat fits the overarching "hard work and diligence is superior to natural-born talent/strength/position in society," -- easier to understand when you realize that Lucifero's human equivalent is the Clover kingdom's current king with lots of raw natural magical power but no talent or merit (though Lucifero has a LITTLE bit of merit). I had been wondering where the rest of the Black Bulls were, and I don't like how so many of them were held back by Tabata until after the fight was over, but it is what it is, and now we can move on.
I mean, it was kinda obvious though, the villan was stated to literally be world ending, they aren't on that level. I somewhat predicted that this was straight cap and a plot twist was gonna happen. Didn't guess it was the wrong person entirely but I got the gist of it right.
That being said, this plot twist is well, stupid. . .
Well, Lucifero was very powerful, but most of his power was in the underworld, since Asta stopped his full manifestation.
Anyways, I wonder what the plan of the Devils actually is. We know that Lucifero was hated by several devils, which is probably one of their plans to get rid of him and grab his heart. This arc was a intro to the major devils, but not the big end. There is something better on the horizon.

I want more spell knowledge like how Magna and Zora use to benefit them. That would be interesting if the Captains used those spells, but that requires them to read books on how to do that stuff and prepare for them.

I predict the repetition of the characters not lesrning from their mistakes of early celebration will eventually become a obstacle that they have to acknowledge and overcome later on in the story in order to further develope and rather properly too. If not, then hopefully the story can find it's balanve once again.

Here's my two cents about the whole thing as of now, everybody everywhere are kinda salty and cry about Lucifero not being a real villain and this arc being bad and s**t like that but here's a question: during the elves arc where they "real villains"? No, they weren't, they just played as to be the bad guys when the real bad guy was Zagreed who also was a superior devil and he lasted around 5 chapters maybe 6 but people seems to have forgotten it. Keeping aside the fact that Tabata is only human and just like us he isn't a perfect being; this means that even he can do some mistakes not only that but as someone in the comments already said in every manga there's a moment that can be virtually disappointing but it seems that those who are crying and are saying that this arc was bad; they speak as if in other manga there isn't a disappointing moment, people wanted Lucifero to last like 100 chapters but let me tell you something: first of all this arc wasn't about Lucifero but was about the invasion of spade kingdom and the liberation of it from devils (which guess what? it's what everybody did which means that they've accomplished their objective) and second of all if the battle against Lucifero lasted longer it would have soon turned into something annoying and boring as f**k and the story would just be at a point where it doesn't progress and move on; it's a basic logic that people doesn't seem to be using. As of me i'm satisfied of how the things went for we've witnessed Asta becoming one of the strongest (if not the strongest) character in all clover kingdom (just like Nacht said) and also having a progression as a character, we've witnessed Yuno having a progression as a character and discovering a new power, we've witnessed Noelle defeating Megicula alongside with her brother Nozel and many more satisfying moments that people forgot about but i didn't because i liked this arc and as i said i'm satisfied
This happens in manga TH-camrs and some have egos, but yeah manga artists are human they make mistakes I didn't like the aot ending but the story before that was good.

After reading the last chapter, everyone is shocked even though there's a theory about julius being the 4th Zogratis. No one expected the theory to come true.
i think a better way to say it is nobody expected tabata to drop it after those two chapters. Tabata is a genius for distracting everybody like that
They would ALL be dead if Lucifero's homunculus had not been killed. Adramalech is a mystery. He never attacked the humans or did anything to help Lucifero. He posed no threat so attacking him would have been suicide by doubling the threat. As an "associate" of Bealzebub, the heart may have been to replace the one Bealzebub gave Zenon and promptly lost. It could also be for another purpose that will be revealed in the next arc...the 4th sibling perhaps? Remember, it was the devils from Adramalech's level that Lucifero used to create the homunculus he created. Basically, Lucifero OWED him the heart. This was just another battle won. The war rolls merrily along. The gates will continue to open as long as Yami and William are alive due to the changes Moris did to them and the ritual. More of my crazy theories of course.

@@Julems Your comment shows you either didn't read or pay attention to what was happening. The Magic Knights had their hands more than full dealing with Lucifero. Starting ANOTHER fight with Adramalech would have divided their forces and Lucifero would have been able to win. The Magic Knights only won because Yuno and Asta were able to take advantage of Yami and Nacht's distraction attack. Remove any one of them to fight Adramalech and the Magic Knights are ALL dead. As for Lucifero "owing" the heart to Adramalech...that heart, as well as the body it was in, were made from ADRAMALECH'S minions in the first place therefore it's HIS. He simply needed someone like Lucifero to create it so he can use it for whatever purpose he has in mind. You have to pay attention to the ALL of the story. Any good commander KNOWS this...you never voluntarily fight on two fronts. That's why old Adolph lost last century...or didn't you pay attention to that story either?

I personally enjoy this arc's end. I like how most characters have spotlights while showcasing the need to go plus ultra during their battle. What I don't like though are the hate comments who goes Fairy Tail again on this 🙄 Stakes or not, I like it when protags win. My own cup of tea~

7 supreme devils, 8 gates of hell, 9 circles of realms. Luficero used the Quithlog to resurrect himself and failed. The greater enemy is coming, I wouldn’t be surprised if Adremmalech is going to use the heart to resurrect the first Devil king before Lucifero instead trying to augment himself 💯
So how come Yami can casually hold the anti magic sword without getting mana drained to death?

The Devils are not done yet. They needed the most powerful devil's heart for a reason. Makes me wonder if the other major power houses were working together to do something big?
We also do not know what creature did the Elves listen to, and are protected by. I wonder if we will see that creature, and if it is a heavenly being?
One thing that I can think of wanting to see is the stuff that Zora and Magna can come up with, with the knowledge of spells. Magna really did shine with that prepared spell. That was interesting. I wonder if there are any more different kind of spells that can give people an edge?

This arc might not even be over yet. Remember when Asta and Yami beat Dante, and everyone thought it was trash because everyone thought it was over already? Then Zenon showed up and changed that whole mood by taking Yami away in the very next chapter?? Bruh. What if the next chapter we find out the underworld gates are still opening and the 3rd one just opened? The devil one floor below Andramalech might pop out and cause some kind of drama too. Also in case you haven't noticed, Lucifero's heart is still in tact, obviously he's still alive. Andramalech took it and must've cast a spell on it to keep Lucifero from manifesting. Now this might not change anything "criticism-wise," but I feel like there's still more to deal with in this arc. Don't get me wrong, Tabata is clowning like a MF in this chapter. I'm just saying, this might be a "calm before the storm," moment, or another one, anyway. . . .

I think that ardramelech is going to give lucifero's heart to the 4th zagradic sibling. Which maybe he is in the wheelchair for heart problems 🤔. Like Yami now has the heart of a devil. I think that was the real plan the entire time was to capture the king of devils heart. Vonica has blood magic. Dante has body magic. Xenon has bone magic and that leads me to believe the 4th brother has brain magic. Likely super intelligent and the devil heart will put his body in par with his brain. One hell of a villain. This has to be correct!!!
We Stiil have Asta's Death, Adremelech Secret Plan with The 4th zogratis, Lucifugius Reveal, Asta Turning into A Beast Due To Weg Curse, Black Clover's Japan, Ki Mastering, Underworld Arc, And Many More To be Covered.
He probably needs asta to use his ability to kill the devils for him as he collects their hearts in order to becone stronger , but hes also probably waiting for asta to become stronger in order be the strongest devil over all and the only ruler strong enough and no other can challenge him. Or it allows him to gain their abilities and his power level isnt the issue, its his abilities that make him a threat, able to take others from eating their hearts. Probably realizes he cant face lucius

These last two BC chapters have been so disappointing I literally feel like I’m watching a kid friendly Disney series. The fact that they can fight satan in a war that transcends the entire world and half of hell and have absolutely zero casualties or consequences and they all get to “go home and be happy” is just bad writing.
This series desperately needs a big death to the main cast. No one ever dies and the stakes are never high. It's just eat my food to recover 🤦🏾♂️😔🤦🏾♂️

There is a plan that requires Lucifero's heart. We just do not know what? Could there be something else that is more powerful than the devils, that is sealed away? Could there be stronger devils that were killed during the war with the heavens, that Adramlach wants to revive? Is it that he and other devils devise a plan, which requires Lucifero to be killed? There is something more. I believe the Spade Kingdom Arc was an introduction and misdirection, just like how the Eye of the Midnight Sun and Elves were.
