2:50 With the 88cc kit you have to use a crankshaft with 45mm stroke as opposed to stock 40mm and you have to mill the cases to fit the long stroke crankshaft. Honestly it might be 77cc right now due to stock stroke haha
Ah bugger... do you think she will still be okay as it? Haven't got to the stage of attempting to run or try start it yet... it does make very good compression? Never even thought about that lol 😂 cheers for letting me know!
@@dmc_autos No idea to be honest. If you already don't know, these cylinders come with 77cc or 88cc displacement and both of them have two variations. Big Racing is aluminium cylinder and single ring which makes more power, Streetrace is less powerful and more street oriented version with cast iron and double rings. Even at the same capacity Big Racing and Streetrace have different port geometry, but I don't know if 77 and 88 have it same or different. You might want to check the brochure that comes with the cylinder kit and check the squish clearance too.
yeah, well this fella is defo a cast iron... its bloody heavy 😂 has 2 rings too? I mean I guess I'll have to wait and find out and see if it runs... I'll be bloody gutted if it doesn't... 😅
@@dmc_autos Best of luck mate. If it doesn't run you can throw a Stage6 long stroke crank which isn't all that expensive and with a bit of dremel action on the crankcase should solve the issue. There are also illustrations showing what to remove from crankcase in the brochure I mentioned earlier.
awesome mate! thanks so much for your help! hoping she will be fine 😂😂 just want to get it running, do a few heat cycles on her to make sure its all okay and then gotta get her shifted to make space for the next project😂
haha thanks mate!! Just checked out your channel lol, obvs subscribed 😂 wish I had the funds and the space to get into flipping some cars... atm I'm just working out of a shipping container lol and bikes are what I know, would love to move to some bigger projects!! Cheers for the support mate I really appreciate It!! 😎
hey i am doing the same thing as you but my bike is an aprilia rs 50 from 1998 ,but i cant aford new parts ,do you now how can i fix the stator at home or any tips?
@@dmc_autos well my yellow wire pop of and i tried to solder it but theres no spark and before the bike was working so it was certenly the wire from the stator , now i dont now if i done a crapp job by soldering it or its a drifrent issue ,i have already test the cdi ,spark plug and every thing seems fine
@hugofelipe4640 hm that's strange... don't think stators for these fellas are too pricey? Not exactly sure which wires you have to test but try test to see if the stator is actually putting out any voltage, if it is then it could be something to do with the actual coil? check everything is earthed off too, your kill switch is actually working etc...
@@dmc_autos thank you man lets see if we can get bouth of this machines running oh a tip a have used the same cilinder kit that you have and the pre squish is wrong it says its 0.8 but actuly is 0.4 i had tu use 2 of the same gasget on the botom to actualy be 0.8mm ,over time the extra pressure blows the top gasket speaking by experience
Haha I'm trying my best!!! the limiting factor is the bloody post man 🤣 It's mad to think that 3 days worth of recording went into this 12 minute video 😂 I do have lots of plans for the upcoming future tho lol, Cheers for your support mate! I really appreciate it!

hi mate, do you know what's actually wrong with the stator? alot of the time, give her a good one clean up and that can help?
