After a long time came to realize (unless one wants to use some broken tactic, which takes the fun away from the game) it's best to see what team you have, what are their strength and weaknesses and work from there. Trying to force a tactic or role which does not suit the team, is never going to work that well. That is why analyzing comparison stats and seeing what to add or put in tactic instructions is vital to make the most of the team. Regarding mentoring I see is mostly as a way to improve hidden attributes, the key element is to make sure an older player highly influential with high determination and a good personality can do wonders on younger players. It's too often we obsess with attributes, but other things can affect if the player will actually perform like that on the field, one of them are the hidden attributes, that is why scout reports pro and cons are also very important to look for.
Ol' reliable to fix team dynamics, especially team cohesion, for me is doing team bonding every week, alongside praising players with good training ratings (7.5 and above) and criticizing players with had training ratings (6.5 and below) twice a month
I’m not doing anything with training yet as we’re still semi pro. Trying to focus on tactics for one session and general play the second. I’ll definitely take a look at team bonding though
Any other methods you use to improve your team? ANY tips welcome as we’re struggling - but I kinda love it. Nothing like a proper FM challenge

I tried the praising players every week who were training well and after a few weeks some player were complaining out it so I’m 50/50 about doing it.

Your scouting budget is 0, and range set to no scouting. That could be the problem..
Well goddamn it Mikael, you may be onto something! How did I miss that?!
And the players who appear in scouting are agent offers (u can see it at right last colunm)
