Did you know the Swedish Warmblood has the gene DMRT3 which is a gene commonly found in Gaited horses. The extra motion to their gait can be seen in many breeds such as the Saddlebred and Dutch Harness.

As a Swede, this makes sense. "My" SWB gelding that I had when I was younger seemed to have a bit of a tendency towards the tölt when he got excited. I'd ridden Icelandic horses before, so I was always confused by it (it wasn't a proper developed tölt, though).
I've also heard of several other SWBs with a tendency to pace or "speedy walk."

Many have a remarkably good temperament as they're not only used in sport but also by riding schools and the police. They're also known for their soundness, as the studbook has strict soundness requirements for stallions and the amount of inbreeding is generally low.
