- Well this video is a little different but I figured it was time to let the cat out of the bag on our new venture. We have been looking for the right property for a few years now and in the last few months have secured our dream property. While this will not be the next Busted Knuckle Off Road Park, we do plan on cutting a ton of trails for our own personal slice of offroad heaven. Now if the trail system develops like we think it can we do plan on offering some guiding weekend rides with small groups. The property is just over 100 acres and is located just outside of Cullman, AL. It is about 20 minutes from the Busted Knuckle Off Road Shop. We plan on building our dream shop on this land and eventually our forever home. It will be a great place for our kids to grow up and for us to be able to rip around, explore, and basically do whatever we want. Starting with raw property like this is a huge undertaking and we are grateful to have good friends in the off road community that are willing to lend a hand cutting trails and helping us get things going. Tim Meeks and the crew at BrushMonster brush cutters came out and did a demo day with one of their latest and greatest cutters to help clean up our creek and entrance area. We have a ton to do in the next few months and we plan on taking you along every step of the way so stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments.

I love to see what you have done with the property. Me and my wife have 45 acres of land and we are trying to basically do what you are doing ride 4 wheelers dirt bikes with lots of trails. My wife wonts to have a horse barn and build a house eventually but we still go over there to just relax and ride for right now

Them Cullman hills looking more and more like home for ya fella. Congratulations on the purchase of the property,you definitely said it right whenever mentioning the potential was there because to cut those roads with a dozer,turn around & put 1-1/4 or #4 limestone on top of definitely ain’t cheap.
But listen I’m in the dirt work business with and for my dad. As a matter fact we did all that dirt work their in Carbon Hill side that Texaco service station putting in a pharmacy their on the left hand side of the highway their just before getting into coal country.

I recently purchased an old log skidder, great super helpful equipment for my land with trails etc. I have a 55hp tractor as well. Keep in mind you can cut up and sell firewood, or sell it as logs too, just a quick revenue generator.

Congrats Matt gonna be a good time cutting trails.. lots of work I cut a 12 mile loop by my house for the pitters and built a few jumps past summer and into the winter cut out all the roots that would catch the pegs got it well groomed the upkeep is a lot of the work but worth it. If your wanting to hand cut the trails I'm down to help just holler when ur ready.
It is a lot of work but also very rewarding

Congrats! Send that Brush Monster up here to Michigan! I need a little over an acre of the back of my property cleared that's THICK woods with trees of all kinds and LOTS of dead and broken over trees from a huge wind storm last summer. I have a creek at the back edge of my property and it would be nice to have a nice path cleared back to it. It's going to take FOREVER with a chainsaw then I have to see if I'm even allowed to burn the massive piles I will have!

My wife and I own several different farms I do a lot of work on our farms. I’m fortunate to have 2 dozers big excavator and a motor grader when you work really hard on your land, pouring your heart and soul, sweat and tears when you finally get done and look back knowing what it took it’s beyond satisfying and you feel encouraged to do more and there’s one thing about it buddy I don’t care if you own five or 100,000 acres you’re never get done there’s always more ideas more work to be done. I hope you get the same satisfaction proud as I do. Congratulations on your new farm. One thing about it with a wife and kids. There’s nothing better working together on your own place as a team I understand your kids are may be little, but they can pick up sticks Little rock it may be only for 15 minutes at a time, but you still did it together at some of the best time spent with them so they get to feel the satisfaction and being proud as you do I wish I lived closer I would bring my equipment and help you I think it would be fun working with you

On a more affordable skid steer set up.You can get a 1999 New holland lx 865 turbo with a superboom running a lo flo system with a CID 60 inch Xtreme brush cutter and its stout.That set up can be 25k or less... Instead of spending 115000$ on asv. For trails/fields/limbs/11 inch saplings on and on it gets the job done.Ive had mine 10 years with out any issues other then the basic stuff to keep the skidsteer happy and the blades sharp on the Xtreme Brush Cutter...

Oh there will be no events. This is just a private spot for us and friends to ride. One day we might do some guided rides but never an open to the public event. People don't know how to take care of property.

I used to live not too far from that area, kinda closer to Huntsville. Probably my favorite part of the country I've lived in so far. It's awesome that you plan to make some off-road features and trails out there. Just a random idea that I had while looking at that terrain. Might be worth setting up a GMRS repeater on a hilltop. Would be useful for communicating around the property and between drivers.
There is plenty of cell service out here so no worries. Cullman area is a great place to live for sure
