I watched this vid yesterday at 2am and boom I had my first LD. I was trying for months and now it finally worked! I think that the part of the false awakening really helped me.
I did MILD with WBTB. I fell asleep only to realise that I woke up. I did a reality check to see if it was a false awakening. It was. I realized that I only could walk slowly and with little gravity. I wanted to fly, but I decided to go to school. Spawned there, but then the dream was turning into a regular dream.
I'm so fricking happy that I finally did it after months of trying. For all you people out there who think they can't lucid dream. You can! It's just a matter of when your first LD will come. Some lucky bastards get it the first night others might wait months like I did. Never give up and keep believing in yourself. You can do it!💪

Step 1 Go to bed :
and set an alarm for 3 am also go to sleep at 9:00 preferably (oh btw if you dont want to set an alarm and make noise just drink water 3 cups and
if you sleep at 9:00 youll wake up at 3 that works too)
    Step 2 Wake up:
when the alarm wakes you up stay awake for 5 to 10 min
during this time you can use the bathroom walk around or strech a little
but dont scroll on tiktok just wait normally
    Step 3 Return To Bed:
Return to bed and lie dont in a comfortable position
i suggest picking a different position than the one
you normally use (if you have trouble falling asleep you can lie down normally)
    Step 4 The Cycles (IMPORTANT):
First Close your eyes and pay attention to the darkness behind your eyelids stay relaxed
Focus on the darkness do this only for a few seconds and then move on and then focus on the noise if theres is no noise just listen to static
noise that your brain creates and do this only for a few seconds and then move on and then focus on touch feel the blankets weight do this 5 times
and then do these 4 times but do it slower
    Step 5 Sleep:
    Go to sleep
    Step 6:
IF YOU WAKE UP MAKE SURE TO DO A REALITY CHECK IT CAN BE A FALSE AWAKENING
    Mistakes Beginners make: 12:40
EDIT: GUYS OMG I TRIED THIS TONIGHT AND I ACTUALLY DID IT NEVER GIVE UP

Coming from someone who lucid dreams regularly, I think this is one of the worst ways to lucid dream....
My main reason for not doing this is because I wake up way too tired to be doing this many steps. Yes, waking up 4 hours after going to sleep works but in no way are you going to want to do all those steps.
In my opinion, the best way to lucid dream is to do reality checks!
Throughout your day, try to push your hand through your other hand. You do this to show that you are still awake. If you do this enough, you'll start to do this in your dreams. If in your dreams you try to push your hand through your other hand, it will most like go through your hand or you won't be able to do it at all. The point of this is to show that you are aware that you are dreaming. Super easy, noncommittal, and no waking up at 3am!
I'm not saying that this video will not help you lucid dream but I think for beginner lucid dreamers, this technique will be a bit more helpful.

      Best techniques for me :
_write your dreams every morning (helps to be more aware during dreams, literally worked with every friend i recommended it to)
_Meditations before sleeping while on your back (lucid dream is the goal of meditation in all religions, it's basically like he said in the video, increase awareness of you and your surrounding, try to focus on details, doesn't matter what)
_Be patient, it will probably not work the first day, but eventually it will, maybe when you don't even try
_last thing as an advice : people should be careful, it can bring sleep paralysis iy they tend to be scared, people should have a clear and happy mind at the moment they try this, or your life will become a nightmare

    1. Wake up 4-5 hours since you went to bed

The method that worked for me was really simple and involved just one step.
All I did was build a habit of counting my fingers every 30 minutes, sometimes more often.
Granted, I have full spectrum dreams often already (Vivid of audio, colour and intensity)
It worked within a week. Lucid dreaming really broadens your perspective, it's like waking up in a different dimension and you wonder why your mind is doing this whilst your body sits there.
I would strongly suggest not doing this if you have PTSD or effects of psychosis.

I found my own way to do this. It’s actually about remembering , work with me on this cause it works for me normally. I had a dream that I was getting chased by a grizzly bear and realized something crazy while getting chased..”why am I scared”? .. so I stopped running , turned to the bear in screamed stop in for some reason it actually worked. I remember my dreams more in more now when I lucid. Long story short is you literally have to face your fears in your dream lol I promise you will lucid once you beat that. Weird cause when I do dream it’s like my conscious is talking to me saying “it’s a dream” so I take my chances. Again it might not work for you. But if you are the type to aways have nightmares then trust when I tell you that screaming in not running will help you lucid more !!! I learned how to fly as well but that’s another story for another day. ❤ remember don’t just scream stop in not mean it , literally have to say F everything in face that fear. Once it’s faced ‘ I promise lucid will be easier for you.

    • @kevinharrod9
      @kevinharrod9 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Forgot to type this. if you have a bad dream or an ok dream but want to change the story so you’re nightmare would stop ? All you have to do is go through another person door. Like for an example. If you’re dreaming about an old neighborhood you use to live into

For those who want to delve into lucid dreaming, I have a warning for you. If you get good enough at it, your dreams will become mundane and boring. They may even become repetitive in the same dream, going over the same thing. I stumbled upon the concept ages ago, and practiced it, only to find that my conscious mind, my rational side, interferes with my dreams. Though I've tried to stop, I can't seem to unlearn what I've learned, and my dream life is no longer as creative as it once was before. The subconscious is vastly more creative than the conscious. Don't interfere with it at the risk of permanently ruining the fun of unchecked creativity the subconscious mind has. It's like taming a beautiful animal, only to realise that it was the wild animal you truly loved, simply because it was unpredictable. I realise this is only my experience, but I wanted to share it as a caution to others of what may happen.

    Summary of the Technique:
Preparation: Go to bed early, set an alarm to wake up during REM sleep (4-5 hours after falling asleep), and then stay awake for 5-10 minutes before going back to bed in a (potentially) different sleeping position to signal your intent to lucid dream.
The Cycles: Perform a series of sensory focus cycles upon returning to bed, concentrating in turn on sight (the darkness behind closed eyelids), hearing (any internal or external sounds), and touch (physical sensations). Repeat these cycles, initially quickly for five times and then more slowly and deliberately for four more times.
Falling Asleep: After completing the cycles, allow yourself to fall asleep as quickly as possible, aiming to enter a lucid dream state.
Outcomes and How to Deal with Them:
False awakenings: Perform a reality check every time you "wake up" to ensure you're not still dreaming.
Waking up for real: If you find yourself awake, immediately relax and try a few more cycles before attempting to sleep again.
Successful lucid dream entry: You might become lucid spontaneously due to heightened awareness from the cycles or transition directly from wakefulness to a dream.
    Mistakes to Avoid:
Wrong timing: Attempting the technique without waking up during the night or too early in the sleep cycle.
Rushing through cycles: Not engaging fully with each sensory focus, which is crucial for preparing your mind for lucid dreaming.
    Advice for Success:
Patience and Consistency: Like any skill, lucid dreaming takes practice. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work immediately.
Journaling: Keep a dream journal to increase dream recall, an essential aspect of becoming lucid.
Reality Checks: Integrate reality checks into your daily routine to improve your ability to recognize dreams.

I remeber one time during a dream where I became lucid, just randomly during a dream. I was in a bus, and during that time I was going through a serious sense of loneliness, meaning I looked up at the skies and stars way too often. So, in the dream, I looked up at the sky, and it was normal for a second, before quickly shifting to a neon blue, instead of the normal sky blue. Of course, I was so astonished that I ended up not doing anything besides feeling myself a lot Even upon waking up. it really does feel like you're in reality, as you can feel, hear and see everything. In another dream I experienced an abnormaility too, where I had a false awakening right after the dream "ended." Both of these were just random occurences, but both got me really curious about lucid dreaming and potentially replicating it. (Funny enough, awhile later I started to get normal dreams about lucid dreaming, along with false lucid dreams (which my brain acted like it was lucid, but it was still "on track"for the dream in reality.) l I haven't tried it yet, but this seems the most "right" feeling activation i've seen so far. Wish me luck!

I felt like if I didn't let my dream flow by itself, I'd be stuck in that dream forever. It was the 1st time I ever took full control so I was pretty overwhelmed at the time so I just made myself lose control of the dream and let it flow like normal. I'm gonna try this tonight, try again and hope I don't feel as scared as that time.

First time I have ever had a lucid dream! This shit is real! The only different thing I did
subconsciously was. I didn’t pay attention to my vision but to my Imagination. I somehow got to a point where there was a few people around me meditating and we where all trying to get to a lucid dream. What we where doing is we where helping each other by using our memory and reciting the clothing the other person had. (Ex. Light blue dress with yellow flowers, wavy brown hair. It’s what I was saying in my mind as I was picturing it.) We would close our eyes and remember the description. I did this for a few minutes and I noticed the dress started to glitch and changed colours. It had patches and it would change patterns. So that made my mind spark up harder as I knew what I was remembering and even if it was changing I knew it was light blue with yellow flowers. I then pass out and at that second I get pulled up to the sky as the light and colours warped all around me while feeling the speed.I was avoiding to react to this feeling to around waking up. We then come to a stop. My eyes still adjusting I then start to see as everything start to shape into a warehouse. That’s when I force my vision to focus and I jump up in excitement knowing I was in a lucid dream. I thought about levitating mid way to a jump and I stared to levitate.
I think paying attention to my thoughts rather than the dark in my eyes helped me. Thanks for the help brother.

Edit: I went to sleep at 2am and when my alarm clock ringed 4-5 hours later I think I overheard it and didn't really wake up, BUT: I still had my first real lucid dream today. I think it's because I really thought about it much today and was really invested into the topic. I also did a lot of reality checks over the last few days.
The dream wasn't really vivid and clear, it was very very blurred and I didn't have exact control over what I wanted to see/do. However, I still realized several false awakenings and managed to stay in my dream for a minute or so to make cool experiences.
I think this video still helped me, even if I "failed" first. Thanks!

steps listed for those who are coming back before bed:
step 1- go to bed and set an alarm to wake up in 4-5 hours.
step 2- wake up when your alarm rings. stay awake for 5-10 minutes.
step 3- go back to bed and lie down in a different position than your usual one.
step 4- focus on the darkness behind your eyes, but do not move them as it will wake you up. focus on this for around 10 seconds. next, focus on the sounds you are hearing for around 10 seconds. finally, focus on the physical touch you are feeling (your blanket, your pillow, etc) for 10 seconds. repeat this sensory cycle five times.
step 5- repeat step 4 but take 30 seconds with each sense. return to your most comfortable position and try to fall asleep as quickly as possible. from here, you should either wake up in your room or you will wake up in a different dream location with heightened awareness. if the latter happens, you will become aware that you are in a dream either instantly or soon after you enter the dream. from there, you will have entered your lucid dream. if the former happens, perform what is called a reality check and count your fingers. if your hand is slightly discolored and/or you have more or less fingers than you normally would, you have entered your lucid dream. if you do not, you are awake and have failed to lucid dream.
    *DOs:*
-embrace random thoughts and physical feelings. don't push them away, they are signs that you are getting closer to your dream.
-remain calm. if you get too excited, you will wake up.
-expect nothing. lots of people go into steps 4-5 expecting to see, hear, and feel things, but this often ends up hindering the chances of the dream succeeding.
-if you fail and wake up after doing a reality check, stay in bed, repeat some of the sensory cycles (each sense lasting for about 20 seconds), and try again.
-if you lose track of how many cycles you've done, don't stress out, just start again from the last cycle you remember.
-do not be discouraged if you fail, try again the next night!
-keep a dream journal or other method of remembering your dreams, lucid or not.
    *DONTs:*
-skip straight to step 4/perform the method without setting the alarm.
    -rush through the sensory cycles.
-become discouraged if no hypnagogia (strange/abnormal sensory sensations) takes place.
    -focus on hypnagogia too much.
-add steps or mix in other techniques unless you are an experienced lucid dreamer.
    *REMEMBER:*
the odds are in your favor with this method! don't lose hope :)

When I was a teen, I got really into lucid dreaming; because I had a major problem with falling dreams that were causing me so much anxiety that it was affecting my waking hours as well, and it happened almost every night. I got to the point that I would automatically realize I was dreaming, if I started to have a falling sensation (I never had a major fall like in the dream while awake, or that could have been confusing.), and I could just stop it in some way. Once I realized this goal, i stopped working on it, but twenty plus years later, I still automatically can stop a falling dream.
As an adult, I suffer from severe nightmares that are related to PTSD, and they are bad enough that they have caused dissociative episodes when I wake up. I started taking a medication called Prazosin that kept me from having the nightmares, but I developed health issues that made me stop taking it. The dreams have begun to get out of hand, and I thought back on lucid dreaming and how it helped before and decided to give it a shot again. I have been following your videos and have learned a lot. I've been keeping a dream journal for the last few days, even when I had nightmares that I didn't want to remember. Last night, I had my first breakthrough. I had a nightmare, but the three really bad parts in the dream, instead of making me feel traumatized and heartbroken, just made me mad; because even in the dream, my thought was, "That was just deliberate bullshit meant to upset me.". It really robbed the nightmare of its pain. I am hoping that this is a breakthrough for the whole process.
    Thank you for the help!

@@parisestebanvegalaborin6200 I've been able to get myself to stop my connection to nightmares. At the point at which I would normally start to reach a traumatic level and wake up in filled with anxiety or panic or even to the point where I'm disassociated, I have now been having a reaction more where I can hear myself say, "You're doing this on purpose, just to upset me. **** this.", and I wake up, without the panic. This is a huge personal success.
As far as actually reaching lucid dreaming, I was doing quite well and then had a setback. I have been using a symbol on my wrist that I check throughout the day as my reality check. I started to have a nightmare that I've been having for about ten years now, and I stopped myself in my dream and said to myself, "Nah, this seems too familiar. This is that dream, isn't it?" I then looked at my wrist... and that symbol was right there. And then I was like, well dang... I guess, it isn't that nightmare... it's real. Then I fell much further into buying the dream. I haven't been able to come back from that yet.

WTF BRO?! I tried literally dozens of techniques, but in the FIRST night I tried the technique of your video I had the first lucid dream in years. I was in some kind of shopping, I went to the bathroom and out of nowhere I wanted to do a reality check. I put my fingers up to cover my breath, but for some reason I couldn't breathe, which led me to believe that I wasn't dreaming. But just to be sure I raised my hand to look at it and saw that I had seven fingers. My fright was so great that I forced myself to wake up, fighting against the sleep paralysis.
I repented of the irrational fear I had and did all the steps again after waking up and AGAIN I had another lucid dream, this time longer. I was at home, and when I looked at my hand again I became lucid. Before waking up I flew through my house, and then through the city.
I don't know exactly what's different about this technique, but it worked for me. Thank you.

I have been able to put myself half to sleep and forcefully lucid dream at any time as long as I’m comfortable by just thinking hard about what I dream about.

same! I used to lucid dream all the time back 7ish years ago, then I stopped remembering my dreams for years and now they came back, but my lucid dreaming didn't, so i'm trying to learn it on purpose now.

Watched this last night and it actually worked first time, I already lucid dream about once a month but it’s amazing how this worked immediately, it’s the first time I feel like I’ve fully got the step in the door as I usually wake up quickly, I was too tired to do all these steps so I just woke up during REM as instructed and went back to sleep really just focusing on my senses and I was immediately into a lucid dream, thank you !

As someone that regularly lucid dreams, but has no control within those dreams, this was incredibly helpful, and I finally gained control over myself and my actions (and some of my environment) for the first time last night

To be honest I learned lucid dream on my own as since childhood I always tried to control my dream. It starts when you become conscious in your dream. Then you try to gain control, for months you will break away from your dream when trying to forcefully gain control. But after years of just doing it over and over I subconsciously gain lucid dream. I can even continue the same dream after waking up and going back to sleep.

I have lucid dreams, i create a sunkissed beach, a clear sea, a black stallion, whatever I like, favourite thing to do is fly. I got all over the universe, to the end where the red dwarfs are, i did this after reading Don Juan, the teachings, Carlos Cataneda, all of the hooks, excellent, that was many years ago

I used to lucid dream naturally all the time when I was a kid. I sort of discovered how to do it since about 7 or 8 years old. One of my first and most memorable ones - and I remember it clearly, as if it was a real event (one of the advantages of lucid dreaming. They form memories unlike normal dreams that usually fade away). I was in front of my house, playing with a kid from across the street when I realised I was dreaming. I said to the kid "Hey, this is a dream!". He said "No it isn't" and a typical argument that often takes place between a couple of kids ensued. I was really frustrated that he couldn't see that it was a dream. I think about that dream a lot. It happened nearly 60 years ago. The modern day paradigm that we may be living in some kind of simulated reality really interests me. Dreams are a type of simulated reality where some really crazy stuff happens, yet we just accept it (lucid dreamers notice some of these odd things and that usually triggers a lucid dream). The funny thing is that if a person had reason to believe that the world and universe was a simulated environment and if he/she told their friend from across the street, quite possibly an argument would ensue...

Yep that's real. I know many lucid dreamers who reported the same thing: the 'NPC's in their dream became nervous - sometimes even hostile at the dreamer - at the thought of being in a dream. Like in the movie Inception. I've never had such experience, I usually alone in my lucid dreams.
