This is great content, awesome to hear about the product directly from the makers. When you guys have vendors come in to select a barrel for a store pick, how many samples do you provide them? And how do you go about choosing the group of barrels? I just cracked a Blanton's store pick dumped 12-28-20. Fantastic!
I really appreciate this interview and a look into a master distillers mind. My question is that it’s said that a mash bill will make up 25% of the flavor and the rest is up to the barrel. Of that 25%, what percentage would you allocate to the yeast? Does BT use proprietary yeasts?
I watch these every week! Thank you for educating and sharing with us!
The Whiskey Wednesday videos always provides great information or tidbits of history.
Thanks Buffalo Trace! Always great to hear from the masters. Cheers!

What a fabulous and informative video! Can I have some Wellers?

I love a mash bill of 60% corn, 24% malted barley and 16% malted rye. I like the nose and taste notes of the malted rye vs the unmalted rye
