Flippin’ hell I love you dude. Studio One in my opinion is the best DAW ever designed, but its depth makes it insane sometimes to figure certain things out.
I'm so glad that you made video about Studio One. Can you show your vocal chain ( what plugins you use, their order, setings, etc.), how you set your tracks, buses and sends routings , how you mix and eq your reverbs and delays sends inside S1.
Great tips & explanation however I did everything you said in the video...tempo on "don't follow", changed keyboard mapping to protools......but at the 7:20 mark in your video I can't get my bar marker to SLIDE to the transient like yours does....and I hit command..then click...then option. It won't slide.
Yes bout time wavy I need u to do more study one tutorials like mixing a vocal to a two track beat and how to get a smother mix and a good template for hip hop music!! Plz
Bruh you saved me from quitting studio one..... keep the content coming cuz its dry asf out here lol and slow for sure. Damn near fell asleep watching the other vids n dont know what they be talkn bout. Much appreciated 🙏.
Studio One6 Pro kicks my Pro Tools 11's A#%! Keep on being the best Wavy; I love my Pro Tools too, but for the money, the features, and the elegance, S16Pro is a way better deal than the AVID subscription extortion!!!!!! Crossgrade 200$ Nov. 26- Nov 30, 2022.
thank you very much for your video, but what you explain here is not happening in Studioone 6,5, why i don't know I am trying to drag in the Temp Bar like you do the tempo bar doesn't slide as i see in your video, did they change anything in Studio one
Hi! Thanks for the video. I received a song played by a real rock band and I need to create a tempo map (similar to what you can do in pro tools). The problem is the band rushes and drags in different sections of the song. (Sometimes to make it more natural, sometimes because they can't kee up a machine like tempo). Your method doesn't help me, does it? Or am I missing something here? I need to match the tempo in many sections of the song. Any ideas how to do that accurately? Thanks again.
After 35 years of Logic I want to switch to Studio One. , Sometimes I have a project and they send me a demo and they want me to remix it. To figure out the tempo of the demo I drag the wave file into Logic Pro.. click analyze and bam.. tempo shows.. Studio One has a big work around to figure out tempo. It's kinda disappointing of Studio One. Logic does it in seconds.. and Studio One makes it kinda complicated. I still hope they figure out the Logic way at Presonus. I saw your video and thought " Wayne found a way!!" But too bad it's still the only way in Studio One.. Melodyne calculates the tempo most of time wrong . For now I only use Logic Pro to find out tempo real quick and then produce in Studio One.. anoying way but I want to find out tempo fast. Love your videos by way. keep it up!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! But that is so weird in Studio one. When you click on tempo it changes and replay the sound immediately, so you never can do it accurately. In FL Studio, it gives you the tempo in 2 seconds with 2 clicks. Does anybody know a better and faster way in Studio one?!
When you get to the section where you begin to use the 'tap tempo' feature what are you physically tapping to decipher the tempo? I can see your head nodding to the beat but I can't see what your hand is doing. Is it the keyboard, or the mouse, or what? That's where you lost me and I honestly can't figure that part out even after watching multiple times. Please explain. Everything after that section is fairly clear but the nuts and bolts of that tap tempo process is where it gets fuzzy for me. Please and thanks!
hey Wavy ! :) great method for tempo, but I find it quicker using Melodyne.I have" Melodyne Studio".I'm not sure if the version that comes with Studio One can do it but,it's great to learn another way. Peace Bro! appreciate you.
Been waiting on a S1 series!! If the producer of the beat is cool they might have saved the tempo to the audio file and you can right click on the beat in session and it'll tell you tempo there otherwise this tap tempo method will help fs fs
What if you have all the stems? I'm assuming its done the same way but applying this to the stem with the most transients which would be the most accurate?
I don’t know how old you are but protools is NOT the “original” DAW. Maybe industry accepted but EMAGIC Logic got hella skin in the game 🤷🏽♂️. But dude I love your content bro you alright with me
Great tip. What if I have a recorded song (by a real band) with drags and rushes in tempo in different sections? Shoul I those sections in Melodyne? I need to create a perfect tempo map to put midi instruments to the performance. Any tips? Cheers
@@DepressedCapitalist yup. Melodyne will let you save a tempo map as a midi file. You can then drag this up to top of S1 (the bit above tracks) which will automatically speed and slow so you are on grid. I’ve used it for mapping an 80s track

That's the first time I've seen anyone tell you to change the hot keys to pro tools! Awesome.

Excellent video Wayne, very helpful and educational indeed, Thank you kindly :)))
I am a Studio One user. Love this DAW.
Recently moved to texas from Seattle and my pro tools is still in Seattle. Been using studio one. These videos will be much appreciated family !!!

Love your tutorials...your intros crack me up bro!
Just got into Studio One and your content is straight drop.

Dude I just learned so much from you. Thank you.
Damn bro. This information is not even on the presonus page. Thank you, awesome.
Crazy thing is I literally was just watching your video about this for Pro Tools
It’s one of the fundamentals on any DAW
Bro, this is a life saver. Thanks
U have to show we how to mix a song in studio 1 with stock plugins
Aye bro if u click that browse tab that’s in blue in the bottom right u can get rid of that menu and have more space for the video and producing

it would make so much sense for a bpm detector in s1...
A big Thank you for this Tutorial. I'm very happy to leave a like here and hit the subscription button.
how can i add plug ins, for example like autotune, ect. ect. into studio one, could you do a video on that as well? THANK YOU SO MUCH LIFE CHANGER!
Simple but love to see more with studio one advance tips from you 🙌🏿
damn bro this vid is gold! I wonder if FL has a way to get the specfic hit w metronome on each transient like this?

Lol. Glad you like this one. I took my time with it. 😅
Everything you got on studio one I need it
What button are you tapping in the tempo.
Thank you, you've been a great help
Than you!
Yo Wavy command M or ctrl m to bring up melodyne it auto detects bpm key chords and its free in Studio One

J'aime trop ses tuto ce mec trop fort ✊✊ thanks Big bro🙏🙏
Wayne do you have any tutorials about arranging in studio one???
Coming right up.
Thanks bruh!!!
This is kinda sad...I use studio one now but in Fl you can just auto detect the tempo of audio files
Is there a tool to determine time signature
wayne will be using S1 all the way soon 😁

When I add a track in Logic Pro X it automatically detects the tempo. I use both daws, just wish Studio One had this feature.

Followed everything you did, it’s not letting me change the tempo lines
It better than pro tools period
Bro u lit
Double vocals pls
😂😂 Yes thank you for these a great help
thanks
My pleasure

💯💯💯
Cmp productions taught me studio one
Useful, but if you have S1 you can open the loop with Melodyne and it will detect tempo for you automatically 🤘🤘

@@waynewav most definitely shitting on pro tools!! Waaaay more features
