    About Jeremiah Craig
I love telling stories with my music and folk ballads are my passion. This is why I call myself a Balladeer. I’ve included many story elements in my songs since the beginning of my songwriting career in the Rochester, NY area. Then I continued my journey in Phoenix, Seattle, and currently in Boston. In 2004 I made my musical debut with the band Bluegrass Tuesday. In 2006 I formed an original rock/jazz jam band, Jack Swift, who in 2009, went on the “You Don’t Know Jack Tour Spectacular” across five states. I started my solo career in 2011 with my first full-length album, Gardener Hands. I have released 6 albums and several singles and I continue to document my music with video content and I also recently started making videos about cowboy boots!
Listen to my recordings and check out upcoming shows to get a better sense of me as a singer/songwriter.

LOL that was great, I heard if you have a leather sole conditioning that leather sole will also make them last longer.

Haha thanks buddy! I heard that too but I’ve also heard the opposite. I’m kinda scared to try but I know I will eventually see what it’s like. Probably in a video haha

My father is 83 and he does have a pair of cowboy boots that he wears probably at least a few times a week. I thinks he’s had them several years . I’m gonna see what type he has I just know they are a grey rounded pointed toe. But I don’t know what brand yet. He wears mostly leather sole shoes ,his cowboy boots and many pairs of traditional leather sole men’s dress shoes. He does vigorously keep his leather sole boots and dress shoes constantly cleaned and polished. I have a pair of cowboy boots but I also have a pair of all leather Scottish Ghillie Brogue dress shoes I wear with my Scottish Kilt. I wonder if the cobblers that resole cowboy boots can resole them. They are all leather with leather sole and looks like stitches all the way through like a good year welt ? There are new versions of this shoe that have rubber soles but mine are all leather with what some call a military tap on the tacked on heal, a piece of metal on the corner of the leather stacked heal to keep the heal longer . The. Heals are still excellent after several years but the ball of the foot have holes in the soles. I’ve probably had them 20 years but only wear them for funerals and Scottish Highland games and events. Of course I wish I could wear my cowboy boots with my kilt but I know it wouldn’t look right with my kilt.

Hey you never know! You might be able to rock a good pair of cowboy boots with your kilt! Maybe a pair of gators! Seriously though, sounds like you can get your Ghillie Brogue soles repaired by a cobbler

I have seen people wear combat boots with their kilt so I wouldn’t doubt that someone has tried to wear cowboy boots with a kilt. My dad has always had a pair of cowboy boots around. I don’t know what happened to the many cowboy boots he’s had over the years. I think the boots he has now are at least 10 years old. When we lived in Texas as a child he got me boots as a kid every few years, what sucks as a kid a kid will outgrow them before they break them in much less wear them out. But I just got my first pair of cowboy boots as an adult and I will get more come tax return season. I think cowboy boots are one of the few things a man can wear that are beautiful, stylish and still masculine. They are really sorta of a work of art you can wear. I definitely can appreciate the skill, tradition and art that goes into making cowboy boots. Like a fine musical instrument or a aged fine wine or bourbon. I have a pair of rubber sole Ariats to start but I will get a leather sole soon as I can. I saw a beautiful pair Dan Post Lizard skin that looked amazing and some beautiful Boulet,Tony Lama and many other good brands. Probably many are in their storage but the oldest Western Store in my area Tip Top Western Wear claims to have 5000 or 6000 pair of boots. I’ll have to see what their add says. But if you are ever in Fort Smith, Arkansas ,Tip Top Western Wear has the best selection of boots in my area and we also have a Cavender’s and Atwood’s has some boot too.
