I missed 3. Those were in my neighborhood parking spots growing up in the 50's. Then from 69-72 I pumped gas and checked oil in all of them except the BMW's and that green turd at the end on the PA turnpike.
There is a classic car show in Carlisle PA every year and many cars took the turnpike. I saw so many classics and learned where the gas caps, hood release, and dip sticks were.
Born in 1948, cars were the deal. I've owned many of these automobiles. Thanks for the channel, love seeing the old iron. New cars all look pretty much the same to me. generic pulp. Alas, the hand of man doesn't set foot in the design studio anymore. Rolling art is a thing of the past except for a few builders. Thanks again. l
Born in 1945 I have been in so many of these models and I didn't miss any. My suggestion would be to make it more interactive, but it's fun either way. My son was astounded with how I knew all of the cars. I Loved it as it brought back some great memories. Thank you.
Only missed one. I’m 78 and my dad was a car buff…..we actually had a Morris Minor convertible. Also had a Hillman Husky among other gems from that wonderful era. He also drove Cadillacs most of his life…..works of art back then as were most cars of that time….
I'm 80 and I got 19 out of 20 right. I used to visit all the showrooms in town during the weeks that the new models were released. I would collect the brochures and study them at home. Great fun.
Got them all, guessed a couple correctly. My father was a car guy when I was a youngster, 75 now, and he taught me all the cars on the road in the 1950's. On one trip with mom and dad and dad's mother I was pointing out the names of the different cars. I was 5 I think. Ma, grandmother, said "That's not fair, he knows how to read."
The "1957 Chrysler 300" is, in fact, a 1958 Chrysler Windsor. No red white and blue medallion, and dual headlights which were not authorized until 1958. GFM
Sorry, but I have to correct you on that. The 1957 300 C did in fact have the dual headlights, so did the 1958 300 D .......both the 1957 and 1958 300s had the dual headlights and big triangular grill. The 1957 Chrysler New Yorker, Windsor, and saratoga had single headlights, but a much narrower and horizontal grill, and the 1958 New Yorker, Windsor and Saratoga had dual headlights and but a much narrower and horizontal grill. The Chrysler in the photo is most certainly a '57 or '58 300 but it's missing the badge.
Born in 1948,I owned some of these,or knew people who did, just for your information,at 15 years old, when I started to drive,a bought a 1953 fordV 8 two door sedan flathead for 50 dollars in Chicago, drove it the next day to Toledo Ohio,to buy fire works for the Fourth of July, ran alittle hot, like most flathead V8 s,but at 76,still breathing!Thomas A.Filipiak
I can’t forget that Edsel, when I was born in 1946 and by the timeI was 6 and 7 years old my Dad taught the makes and models of all the cars. The 1957 Chevy is a model we had. But I don’t know the foreign makes, never heard of them.
This is the first time I found this site. It is great! I only missed one and you bet I subscribed to get more quizzes! This is when cars were cars, not the cookie cutter vehicles that you see today. They all look the same from year to year.
Missed that Hudson Hornet, dammit. 19/20. Born in 48 and, as a boy in the 50s, knew most American car models. Dad later stationed in Germany, so the British/European models weren’t a problem. Fun stuff.
Yeah, 19 easy for me at 80 yo. Most I or friends owned similar. I personally owned the Bel Aire, 59 Cad, and Morris Minor. Also the Chevy pick up. Friends had Ford PU, Jag, Buick. I never liked the looks of the Hudson, Studebaker sir Nash, but I recognized them. Also got the Citroen. Guessed right on the BMW, but muffed the other foreign sports job. Almost nailed it except for that. Bet lots of folks my age did well. Lots of fun memories. Thanks!
This was Awsome. I only missed one. Little White Sports Car. Q#3, I think. I grew up looking at all the Beautiful antique Cars, back in the 1950, 1960s. They all were very Unique Looking back then. 10 to 20 years later, they all to much look alike, To me. I loved this it was great! ❤❤I love vintage 🚗 🚘 Cars. ZOOM! ZOOM!
20 for 20 and all from the pictures....owned or had friends or family that had all the US makes and a couple of the foreigners...at 83 i've seen a lot !!!
I was born in 1945, and loved cars as I grew up. I got every question correct. I bet many kids from my era could do just as well. Doctor George Whitehead
When I was 16 my first car was a 56 dodge custom royal, 2 door, 318 eng. 2 barrel, power steering, Push button drive, same color red with white stripe.....
The 59 Cadillac was a Fleetwood. It was not an El Dorado. El Dorado’s only had two doors and most of them were convertible. That being said I missed two.
16 out of 20 ain’t bad for a lady of 76, who younger was more interested in cars than fellas..🤣. I love the old classics, they had style and graceful designs, something unheard of in today’s market, mostly they all look alike anymore, boxy and unappealing for my taste. I inherited my dad’s 1955 Chrysler New Yorker, my mom couldn’t drive, but I was unable to keep it, I had to sell it and practically gave it away to a gentleman who was a collector of Chryslers for $100. It needed some repair work on it and I was pregnant and needed the money for my baby’s arrival. I also owned a Plymouth sport fury, an Olds Delta 88, and a Caddy, all of which were 1960 models….miss my Plymouth and Olds, good cars, and believe it or not, even though they were that old, they were also good on gas mileage too, but not like todays though, buts that’s here nor there. My Olds was like a tank in the snow, while my Plymouth had the speed and ran better in the summer when roads were drier…..they truly don’t make them like they used to though…😢👍❤️🙏🏼
What you talking about Willis? The 58 Fury was available from the factory in 7 solid colors or 4 two tone versions. It could also be special ordered in any one of the 15 colors available for the Plymouth lineup in 58. Do a Google image search, you will see more Toreador Red Fury's than any other color.
@@theoriginalracer72 the Fury in other years may have been available in other Colors, but Fury in 1957 and 58 were a low production option and was only available in Tan with gold trim the 57 had a hoped up 318 with dual quads, the 58 had a 350 with dual quads. there were lots of Belvederes in other colors but not the Fury.
I guess none of you ever heard of not painting it the original color? That being said Torque Red was the other option, not just the tan, the movie car Christine was an original color.
Trust me my brother I owned one Furies only came in 57 and 58 in a 10 color it had a 2 tone fabric interior you can get Belvedere's and Savoy's in other colors But not a fury
Got 4 wrong, and three process of elimination. Golden Hawk almost got me, I was looking at the radiator grill and thought could be a Mercedes? But then the multiple guess showed up and I knew. there was one in a big garage that I wound up renting 35 years ago, but it was only there for a short time. Have no idea what happened to it.😊
When car design was art! Being 81, I rode in and saw these neat autos daily!
I’m also 81, so, do we call this cheating😄
@@billdouglas2936 I'm 81 too
I'm 68 and worked on most of them that were American . My dad had a shop that later became mine . He was the best mechanic I ever knew . :)
17 correct. Missed the foreign cars which we never saw on the road. It was nice to see those beauties.
Yep. Me also, didn’t see many imported cars in Southern Oregon. 🤛👍🙏🙏🙏🦅😎🇺🇸
100% cause I'm old enough to see these when they were new.
Same here! My first car was a 1953 Chevy convertible, drove it with the top down even with snow on the ground!🎉
As others have noted, the '59 4-door Cadillac is a Series 62 model, not an Eldorado.
I'm 82 and have been a car buff since my teens. I enjoyed this car quiz and got 19 right out of 20!
Me too ❗️😊
I missed 3. Those were in my neighborhood parking spots growing up in the 50's. Then from 69-72 I pumped gas and checked oil in all of them except the BMW's and that green turd at the end on the PA turnpike.

18 outa 20. Those beautiful cars really make me feel as antique as they are. My paint is peeling but otherwise ...
I am 79years old and this was a piece of cake! 20 out of 20
Same here. I'm 81
the Kaiser stumped me! I got 19

I am a little old lady of 87. I missed 4. That was fun!😊😊
I got 18 of 20, i am 64 years old and live in Sweden, have always loved these old cars from the golden era since i was a little boy.

Really enjoyed this. At 79 I amazed myself of what I knew.
Only missed completely on one.
I got two wrong. Darn! Great selection of great cars.
I’m 77yo- I loved this!!! What beautiful automobiles! Thanks!

Maybe the reason Cristeen was so pissed off was she was painted the wrong Color!
LOL 😊❗️🇺🇸
Missed two of them, but it was fun to see these classics on display!!
78 years young and missed BMW and Hudson. That was an enjoyable test.
Got 16 missing the “foreign” cars which I never saw on the street.
Got 18 correct. Nice seeing these old classics.
Nailed all the cars. Missed two trucks.
I got 18 of 20 right. Haven't seen some of these antique cars in more years than I want to admit!
Iffy on two butt guessed correctly, knew all others… thought you weren’t going to have an older Skylark but you did. Thanks
Great stuff!
20/20. Ah, the memories! TYVM!❤😊
Love these quizzes ! 😄 thanks!
14/20, not bad I guess, considering I wasn't even born until 1970.
I can’t forget that Edsel, when I was born in 1946 and by the timeI was 6 and 7 years old my Dad taught the makes and models of all the cars. The 1957 Chevy is a model we had. But I don’t know the foreign makes, never heard of them.
I got all USA cars except the last fancy Edsel. Nice quiz!
Too easy when you are a die hard old car guy. Got them all right but I did guess on the BMW answer for that question. Cheers.
I scored 14 out of 20 on the multiple choice - but I have an an 'old dude' advantage!
10/20. Born in 1951. Female, so I wasn't as interested in cars. So I'm surprised I knew that many. It was fun!
I got 19 of 20. Cars back then had real styling!
Missed two. Loved the Studebakers.
'Scuze me, but I think the '59 Caddy is a sedan deville.
That's what I said.
I believe eldorado came in 2dr only then you are right!
agreed

Grew up in the 50's so naturaly I Aced this. 82 now and this sure brings back memories.
I don’t believe you aced it . I pumped gas in the late fifties and I never saw the foreign cars in this video .
That was fun seeing those rides again -100%😁
I owned the only Edsel pick up in Ca back in about 1970. Delivered Camp Fire Girls candy in it..Fun days!
Not so hot myself on the pre-60s vehicles, but fun to see them all! Thanks!
1957 Plymouth Fury
I got them all correct. The ones I could not recognize, I guessed by process of elimination. It was easy because I’m 72 years old.
For the first time in my life I got the 20 correct, I'm 74, Australian and a life time car nut..
Missed one,moris minor,thought it was a fiat
77 here. I loved looking at theses cars. Missed 1, the Hudson Hornet
Picked 18 of 20, had to guess on 5. I’m 87 and have owned 40 cars.
I missed that Morris Minor. I never was much on foreign cars. I'm 85 so I know 50s cars pretty well.
I got it right but it was a guess. That Austin looked like a real contender.
Missed that Hudson Hornet, dammit. 19/20. Born in 48 and, as a boy in the 50s, knew most American car models. Dad later stationed in Germany, so the British/European models weren’t a problem. Fun stuff.

Well I guess 18 out of 20 ain't too bad, I have a '57 Ford Fairlane 500 two door so yes I do enjoy the fifties cars.
Actually aced this one. Although I'll admit #19 was a total WAG on my part.
Love the old classics, all correct😊
I got all but one. . .and I guess I should pat myself on the shoulder, but I'm over 80 and I should have gotten all of them.
Jay Leno wouldn't be proud of my score! However i did enjoy the video. Okay I got 14/20.
18 . Seen cars I haven't seen in a long time and a couple that goofed me up . lol
I got 12 out of 20! It was Fun!!
Golden Hawk very beautiful classic 😮
I got everything except the Morris Minor, correct!
This was Awsome. I only missed one. Little White Sports Car. Q#3, I think. I grew up looking at all the Beautiful antique Cars, back in the 1950, 1960s. I am 80 and was able to recall every one of these cars, just as the other pre-boomers have done!
I been around for 70 yrs... 19/20, I missed the Morris Minor.
I was born in 1945, and loved cars as I grew up. I got every question correct. I bet many kids from my era could do just as well. Doctor George Whitehead
I'm from U'K. Always been an American car fan. Got 16 before choices, 2 with choices and two guessed wrong.
19 out of 20 the grills gives you the answer.
Needed the multiple choice for #19, missed #13 altogether but got all the rest. Off a little on the years but got the makes and models. Good quiz!
A man two doors down from me had a yellow Darin. The doors slide into the front fenders.
Got 'em all. Drove a few.
Got them all correct except for the BMW. I’m not so good on the foreign cars.
46 points, although some model names were incorrect.
Nailed it.
Born in 55 and missed 3
16/20.....strolling down Memory Lane to the parking lot at Gorgeous Garage and Gas Bar. Not a Toyota in view....cool!!!
My husband had that car, known as Christine.😊
Got 16 right, but those trucks always fooled me.
Sedan deVille
15 of 20 - 14 three-pointers & 1 one-pointer
It is a Jaguar, not Jagwire !!!!!
I got 19/20. You got me on the foreign car.
There were at least four foreign cars Jag, BMW, Morris, Citroen. I didn’t rerun the quiz.

16 correct, 4 wrong. Not too bad. 🤔
Missed only one, but a few were guesses.
Got everyone, correct although I guessed correctly on one of them!
I got 18 of 20. (Missed a couple of them foreign ones )
1 wrong
Your right my Dad had the same ,great car.
I'm only 73, got 20/20.
19/20 Morris got me
I am 81 and remember all these. Memory lane
18 but a couple of educated guesses
Missed one foreign model the BMW 507; not to shabby a score.
The tip-off on the BMW is the front grill. Same split grill design today.
Studebaker
The Citroen was uglier 😂😂
I miss 2, we had a studebaker in 1962 had tran trouble ,all good photos.
That is not a 1958 Plymouth fury it is a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere Furies only came in one color tan how do I know because I used to own 1
