Lmao, if I had that kind of influence this software would have been made available years ago. What I think you're missing is the fact that additional power is available throughout the ENTIRE powerband. Not just peak power being 10whp more. That makes a massive difference.
The Continental ethanol sensor that came with your Fuel-It kit is pretty much the same one that comes with the UniFLEX kit. You'd simply disconnect your Bluetooth adapter for your Fuel-It kit and plug in the UniFLEX hardware.
I'd suggest you try that with your own car then. I would never try that on this channel, seeing as a Stage 2 tune is only meant for cars with an upgraded downpipe and not safe to run with a stock downpipe.

@kylewatson9626 what I don't think you're appreciating is the difference of 10whp & 23wtq at peak, but the ENTIRE powerband is higher. To put that in perspective for you, a weight reduced RS3 ran an 10.7 @ 127mph on Stage 1+ E85. A weight reduced Stage 2 E85 RS3 ran a 10.2 @ 134mph. There has to be more done to the black RS3 in terms of weight etc to be running a 10.03 on stage 2 e85 software. My car sits the same and the best I ever did was a 10.8 with a 1.7 60ft

At what point of whp/wtq do you enter the zone of potentially needing a built motor? Bought an 18 rs3 last year and kinda want to know the limits on the stock motor!
Depending on who you talk to, they'll all tell you different things. Also depending on the dyno you'll see & hear different things. I say nothing more than 520-540wtq. I recommend anyone running a hybrid turbo or larger on ethanol, needs to build their motor except on this turbo which was specifically made to run well on a stock motor.
Thanks for the great content! I am curious, I thought the stock rods couldn’t handle more than 500 WTQ? Or it is not safe after that. Seems like the power is very strong.
You'd be wrong. Before experienced tuners had more and more time developing software for these motors, that was the generalized figure thrown around. There are a TON of Unitronic tuned RS3's and TTRS's out there making over 500wtq and are without issue. On most Dynojet dynos that I've seen, stock turbo DAZA's make up to 540wtq and have zero issues. All dynos read differently as well. If I showed Mustang numbers in this video, the power & torque figures would have been MUCH lower.
@danielmchugh8231 I can see it being SUPER confusing because there is SO much incorrect information spread throughout the community. Seems like most of the time only 20% of the people actually know what they're talking about.
@vancityaudi Great video im about to do a stage one tune on my rs3. With the uniflex do you need to fash the ecu first with the obd cable or can you do it with the uniflex
Uniflex is purely the hardware and the Bluetooth phone app. Until you pay for the additional software, all it will do is display on the phone app and that's all. After tuning it'll display on dash and adjust for E levels.
Could someone please enlighten me: I was always under the impression that tq was the real killer on these cars (hence why custom tuners try to cap the tq lower than the Uni S2E85 file). I considered Uni’s Stage 1 E85 to be relatively safe since the advertised tq is 528 lb ft. Uni’s S2E85 is advertised at 564 lb ft which I’ve associated with being a bit more risky. Seeing the S2 uniflex car do a 534 wtq makes me question whether Uni has addressed the high tq complaints (or if wtq is different than their advertised numbers on their site). Long story short: is stage 2 uniflex at E85 safer than running their dedicated E85 tune?
What you're forgetting is every single dyno will read differently depending on a million and one factors. Ambient temperature, density altitude, elevation, heat soak, IAT's, fuel used, type of dyno used, calibration of said dyno and more, lol. Just like I mentioned in the video, they made what appeared to be very high numbers because the conditions we tested in were amazing for making power. I showcase uncorrected numbers on this channel, so they aren't corrected and turned down when it's really cold out, or turned up when it's really hot out.
It is linked. The rear tires are between 2 rollers and the front tires are on 1 roller alone, so the tire deformation will be slightly different from front to back
Very curious on the conditions the Stage 1 car ran 10.9... I've got similar bolt ons, plus catless downpipes. Not sure the E content i used (added 7L of E85 to a half tank of Pump 94) and best time was 11.26 at 122.73 MPH DA679ft running on PS4S. That was May 2023 and tried all season to best it, without luck, even after getting Hankook RS4 tires. Any thoughts?
There's a million and one conditions that come into play when trying to optimize your RS3 for a 1/4 mile time. Ambient conditions, elevation, temperature, density altitude, how well your car is actually working (did you log your car to make sure it was running at 100%), your tire pressures, if on track the track prep and on and on and on.
@@VancityAudi Thanks. First year drag racing. learning something every time i go. I don't have upgraded injectors. I guess, how much E85 is acceptable to a add to pump gas?
@rsdbikes3067 good thing you let me know you're new to drag racing, I can never tell from comments. First concern is that you're running an upgraded downpipe already. Why have you not upgraded to a Stage 2 tune? Stage 1 tunes are meant for an OEM downpipe. Secondly, I don't recommend going higher than a 20% ethanol blend on a pump gas tune. Thirdly, I don't recommend you blend in additional pump gas without an actual ethanol gauge installed so you can see what content level you're at.
Most people go with a 500-520ft/lb, but we've consistently seen these stock motors handle more than that on this dyno. Considering every dyno reads differently, it's incredibly hard to say.
Hate to break it to ya, but the tuners aren't the ones that hack or crack the ECU's. When a company/individual figures out how to unlock them, they then sell the ability to do so to all of the tuners.

@@VancityAudi I appreciate the inputs. Honestly, i never felt like i needed to go full Stage 2, as it's still my daily driver
Are there any gains in the new software vs old software for stage 2 E85? Or is it just convenience? Thaniks
Convenience
Thanks Adam
What kind of torque can these cars handle stock block?
Most people go with a 500-520ft/lb, but we've consistently seen these stock motors handle more than that on this dyno. Considering every dyno reads differently, it's incredibly hard to say.
I need this!
Will there be more mk8 gti content?
There will be a TON of Mk8 content coming up. I had some issues that set me back, but I'll be diving into it soon again.
Did the stage 1 car have injectors too ?
Didn't we go through all the mods done to the car in the video?
@VancityAudi i thought you need injectors to run E85 on these cars.
Black car ran 10.03 on what fuel?
E70
Now they can focus all their effort on the 8Y tune.
The first tuner to hack the box gets 2 years of pent up demand…..
Hate to break it to ya, but the tuners aren't the ones that hack or crack the ECU's. When a company/individual figures out how to unlock them, they then sell the ability to do so to all of the tuners.
@@VancityAudi yeah, was a little tongue in cheek, I’m thinking the over under is mid 2025 (about 3 years in) for the tunes to be released.
I just got my 2024 and will have to patient for a bit.
Great channel- keep up the awesome content.
When is this available for 8Y?
The ECU on the 8Y hasn't even been unlocked, let alone tunes been made for it.
Thanks for reviewing these. Quick note though, have you seen Charlie Brown? Bro your large face and round head are proportions right out of Charlie Brown
If I had a dog named Snoppy and Charlie Brown had a beard then maybe.
Does stage 1 car need upgraded injectors?
I go through what is needed to run these tunes in the video.
so from this video.. im thinking uni stage 1+ flex.... rather than the full stage 2 flex to save some money. Then invest the left over into the iroz syvecs haldex controller and light weight wheels and good tires, then go full stage 2 flex with mpi injectors after my pockets recover
This sounds absolutely perfect
@@VancityAudi any difference in dyno with the catless uni mid pipes or purely sound?
@@Stockish_Dazamidpipes are purely a sound mod
@@VancityAudi whats your opinion on the KW has? Car i bought has h&r sports and i hate them
@DarkJuggalo86 I've never used them, but have heard good things. H&R springs suck in my opinion.
He ran 10.9 on 93 stage 1 only?
That's what he said!
Had to be E85. I haven't seen an RS3 trap higher than 120-122 and usually around 11.2-11.4
@@chrisradivonyk4357in optimal conditions it happens.
@@chrisradivonyk4357he was running the Stage 1+ 93 octane tune. I was there.
@@chrisradivonyk4357 these guys tend to run a splash of ethanol in the tank on the 93 tune. See Adams other videos for the gains e20 makes on a 93 tune.
Sooo.. moral of the story, if you're not already stage 2 just go full bolt on stage one e85 flex until you decide to go stage 3 LOL
