Do you have any advice regarding pressing pillows vs pressing pads (look like mouse pads)? I feel like pads might leave harsher edges but the pillow doesnt always seem thick enough to me, I feel like the buttons for example are thicker then the pillow will be when pressed.
Also, the quality of fleece is a factor.....Make sure you're dealing with TRUE fleece and not a synthetic that's heat-sensitive.....Example: Walmart fleece is cheap and even in the dryer it pills up and burns quickly. But, Under Armour or another quality clothing brand's fleece is thicker and handles heat much better. Try waiting for sales on the more expensive brands and you can get a good design without burning. Well, that's what I do anyway. LOL.
It is not really recommended to layer over Brick. There are some exceptions- when you are doing to embossed effect or if you are layer on something that isnt going to be washed very often.
My electric htv wrinkled. I used the cricut heat press, I set it up the temperature and the seconds recommend in the instructions. How can I prevent this?
First you want to make sure that your Cricut EasyPress is getting to the correct temperature. Sometimes the temperature you have set is not the actual temperature it is giving off. Sounds like you are scorching it to cause it to wrinkle. Also, you want to be weary about the type of fabric you are applying it to.
Another thing.....Are you using a pad UNDER your shirts? The reason...without good padding it can cause the shirt fabric to shrink under the easy-press(Just like with any iron).....I did it b4 I figured out to borrow the pad from my t-shirt press to iron on instead of just the tabletop. When you iron any clothes...your ironing board has a pad, right? Try that and then, the temp you're using. One of those will be your issue.....The easy press can be difficult to use because it fluctuates temp so much. Mine collects dust due to it.....I won't use it anymore. Also, the quality of the t-shirt....If you're using a cheap Walmart T-shirt it will shrink when hot...period...You could pre-wash I suppose but, who has time for that? I've done some beautiful designs using Metallic vinyl. Customers LOVE it!! Keep at it and you'll figure it out. If you haven't bought a t-shirt press....I recommend the purchase/cost of one. It makes life so much easier. My only suggestion is to buy a swing-away type so it's easier to SEE when placing your designs. The clamshell type makes it very difficult to SEE what you're doing. Remember....trial and error will eventually make you a pro....it did me. LOL. T-shirt brand recommendations? Gildan(USA) not their China-made line and Bella and Canvas brands. I like both of those. AND if going cheap- Walmart "George" brand. Keep the temp lower- 310 is about the max. That temp will adhere most types of vinyl. Hope this helps. Oh...go watch Cuttin Corners Vinyl....That's where I went to college(TH-cam)...LOL.
Technically it is not the film shrinking, the garment is what shrinks. You only need to tack the EasyWeed Electric down and layer your Brick and apply them all for the full duration.
Joe is nice to look at period! Oh, love the products too 😂
🤣☺☺
I love Joe....He gets it done and I understand what he's doing.
Thank you for the video. From the My Craft Source, Leslie shipping!
Nice! Thanks for the vid.
Welcome!
Can you later glitter over a flat base colour of htv
Glitter can be a top layer, yes, however when using glitter as a bottom layer, it is best to use the knockout method.
is there a video for layering brick 600 and felt?
We do not have a video showing that. When you say "felt" do you mean felt, or are you referring to StripFlock Pro?
@@SiserNorthAmerica stripflock pro
I take so much time trying to nest the glitter vinyl perfectly when I do this type of design. Is a Tiny overlap not a big deal?
Yes, a tiny overlap, or "trapping", with Glitter vinyl is ok!

I've noticed that the fleece, especially the fluffy ones, usually when applying heat to them, get an aspect of burnt at 150°C
Our vinyl is pretty forgiving, If you're having issues at high temps, try lowering the temperature a bit and pressing for longer.

Hi what is the font you used to make the name on the back?
How long will it hold
As long as you applied it correctly, it would last the life of the garment.
Thanks for the video
Where did you get the varsity jacket
The Jackets are Sportek Fleece from SanMar.
Can we overlay on brick htv?

@@SiserNorthAmerica thank you 🙏🏼 I wish there was metallic brick htv lol 😂

Applying the electric to full duration first, doesn't this make the film shrink? How come the brick fit perfectly?
Technically it is not the film shrinking, the garment is what shrinks.

@@SiserNorthAmerica ok so the jacket shown in the video doesn't shrink, that's why he didn't tack for 2 sec?
Didn't get to see how it came out.
how come?!
