Awesome video! I am going there for the first time in a few weeks and this gave me an idea of what to expect and how to get around. Thank you for making this
@@Mattkizer76 That's another great way to do it! I like how your method is a great progression that builds up to the insanity that is Grouse Mountain! Might have to try that next time! :)
You prolly dont care but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last few months :)
Beaver Creek is not as crowded as Vail and much smaller, and less of a nightlife…seems more family friendly. And don’t forget the chocolate chip cookies given out in the village
That camera is amazing! It looks like you have a drone flying alongside of you at all times! And it's very interesting how you can see the shadow of the boom, but when it's looking right at you you don't see anything. Awesome video!
Good skiing! Good camera work. Good tour. And good snow there! Good job, John Cen! What did you think of the Wyndam? Thinking of staying there w family in March or April (4 people)
Thanks! Wyndham is pretty new and clean, the ski storage is conveniently located on the first floor. You need to hike 3 minutes to Riverfront Express Gondola though. It is in Avon, you got some shops and restaurants nearby, but if you don’t want to drive during your stay, I think Beaver Creek Village is a better place to be.
Also, do you like those Anon goggles? I'm looking at Anon M4, Smith 4D Mag, Oakley Flight Deck, or Sweet Protection Interstellar. I'm curious what your thoughts are. Thanks.
Hi Jay, I love my Anon M3. I've used them for almost 4 years, they are still in good shape. But I suggest you go to a store and try each brand/model yourself. I believe all major brands are more or less the same in terms of build quality but it is important the goggles fit perfectly on your face.
Excellent camera work and editing, Thank You for the sharing! I only spent one day of seven at BC on my March 2021 trip, (Vail/Breck also), but I promptly booked a week in Avon in Feb 2022. Can't wait to explore all of these runs!!
Thank you! I mostly use chest mount for my GoPro 9, and occasionally I mount it on my boot. For mounting on chest, make sure the GoPro is tilted about 15 degrees up when you stand upright, so you won't film too much of the ground when you bend down skiing. Now I am using GoPro 11, my favorite mount is helmet mount thanks to its 8:7 aspect ratio.
@@glamoc0000 I went from my Giant Slalom skis with a 68mm waist to the Rossignol EXP94 (mm), and it shocked me how much less effort it took to ski late-day slop and crud.. I could use my (considerable) weight to drive through small bumps and keep an edge on the snow. But i was also able to carve turns at high speed on everything except ice. Only if conditions are icy would I go back to the skinny skis, (or if i were racing).
I’m commenting this at the beginning of the vid but if you haven’t tried rose bowl TRY IT! it’s awesome this is my local skiing place! Oh and Ik ur prob not there still
Thank you, I will definitely try Rose Bowl next time. I only ski about 2 weeks a year, so not a lot of chances to go everywhere. But I love skiing in bowls.
Beautiful Photography
Great video mate
Very well done, thanks for putting it together. That looks like a fun resort.
Going to beaver creek next week and this video made me so excited we go every year and we stay at the Westin

Did you go to rose bowl! If not GO THERE AGAIN! this is my local skiing place
Oh and you obviously went to cookie cabin🤨
John: Goes straight to Grouse Mountain...
Me: This guy is freaking awesome
I always start at cabin fever then rose bowl then centennial then here!

Thanks! All you need is just a 360 camera and an invisible selfie stick.

I am not particular with brand names but I would definitely buy Anon again if their new goggles fit my face.
Great video! What's your jacket, pants, and backpack? They look cool.
My jacket is a Bogner down jacket, backpack is Lowepro Photo Sport BP 200 AW, and the pants are Descente.
@@JohnCen thank you so much for all the details. I'm going to check them out.

How wide are your skis in waist?
My skis are Head Monster 88, the waist is 88mm.
@@JohnCen i have also 88s, and am thinking of upgrading to 96s mantra m5 for soft snow performance
