I'm not trying to become the next Tiger Woods or Shaun White, I just want to document my journey to mediocrity on this channel. great video! what do you use for mounting your camera? I've been using a gopro chest mount but the views angle isn't as *wow*!
Thank you! I mostly use chest mount for my GoPro 9, and occasionally I mount it on my boot. For mounting on chest, make sure the GoPro is tilted about 15 degrees up when you stand upright, so you won't film too much of the ground when you bend down skiing. Now I am using GoPro 11, my favorite mount is helmet mount thanks to its 8:7 aspect ratio.

What do you mean by 186cm/172cm? Are they two different skis? Been thinking of getting these as a 5’9 dude but don’t know if I should get 165 or 172.
Those are the length of the two pairs of skis I tried. I am 5'10'' but I found 186 cm is too long for me to handle, definitely felt harder to make short turns than the 172. I think the difference between 172 and 165 is very subtle (my previous pair was 170 cm long and 88 mm waist wide), the width would probably make more difference. Better try it before you buy it.

Hey Jon, I'm the limo driver in the video you filmed with Rob and Xaioluyin. Take a look at the flag sticks when you're using GPS for my golf cart, The flag stick should have a glass/clear bubbles somewhere in the shaft typically close to the top. If that is present the GPS will measure to the flag stick and not the center of the green. 👍🏼

Beaver Creek is not as crowded as Vail and much smaller, and less of a nightlife…seems more family friendly. And don’t forget the chocolate chip cookies given out in the village

hi John, what camera and lens you are using? it looks like Sony a7 from your recent beaver creek video but I am not sure. I like your videos and photos a lot, you are a professional.
Thank you, Burt. I recently use Canon R3 for B rolls and Hero 10 with the max lens mod for skiing videos. Occasionally I shot some Max 360 footage but didn’t quite like the overly distorted look.

Thanks. I was lucky, it dumped a foot of snow in the first day of my arrival. Locals say it was their first major winter storm since the new year.
I was just there in early Feb. I skied imperial bowl quite a few times and managed to hike the 158 feet to the summit of peak 8. So incredible! Good video. The snow looks really nice in your video.

Thank you. I‘ve been using the Head Monster 88 for almost 7 years, but I am buying a new pair now, thinking of probably the Nordica Enforcer 100 to get a bit more floatation as I mostly ski in the west in recent years. Head Kore 93 are good all-mountain skis too.

Thanks! Wyndham is pretty new and clean, the ski storage is conveniently located on the first floor. You need to hike 3 minutes to Riverfront Express Gondola though. It is in Avon, you got some shops and restaurants nearby, but if you don’t want to drive during your stay, I think Beaver Creek Village is a better place to be.

Cheers for posting the vid! I was there yesterday (at the lift line for the T-Bar), and as a snowboarder, I felt that lift was a little too long for me in harsh weather conditions (10 below temps and high winds). If we ever do Breck in the spring, I’ll be taking that T-bar for sure!
