Giving the solo game such a shining review, how can I resist? XD I'll take a look at this series and then likely play Legendary Encounters Firefly in the next few days. ;)
I love this board game…. My friends and family find this one hard to play against me. Lots of set up and don’t play often enough to remember actions to make game go faster

You're supposed to pick your starting area before you draw your missions for just that reason (so you cant't start at a location for a mission that you already had in your hand).
+Trueflight Silverwing Very correct - I made a bunch of errors on this playthrough and have been thoroughly lambasted at no end in the comments . . . I am planning (not sure when) to do a whole damn verse multi-player playthrough to try and get the rules right and show off the incredible amount of cool expansions for this very thematic and fun game . . . You pick your starting location first then pick your starting jobs. Also you could pick crew worth zero like the Shepard. Rule book "Game Setup" clearly has step 3: Choosing Ships & Leaders (and location) then step 6: Starting Jobs.

I love this game I played all ships solo.... Took forever but a lot of fun! I just watched the omega protocol videos you should do mission 2.
