My blower was running fine and just died. I switched spark plugs and took out what I thought might be bad gas. Didn’t help. The machine will crank on choke mode and as soon as I try to switch to run, it sounds like it’s going to run for a second and then dies. My air filter was wet for some reason when I checked it. I’m going to spray carb cleaner in the carb slot and I noticed my carb was not covered with that black piece like yours. Any advice for me? Is this a carb issue? When it’s running it sounds awful. It also sounds like the pull chord is spinning.
So I still need some help… I have sprayed carb cleaner in the carb and it started to run while off choke. It ran about 30 seconds and then died. It might run and and it might not. I’ve heard try changing the spark screen but can’t find anything about it? Also a guy was telling me there is a place on some blowers where build up of carbon or whatever happens and you have to literally burn it off to clean it. I’m trying a new gas filter next but I’m going to guess it’s not the problem. Help???
Thank you for the video. my Ryobi 38cc can start (some time with starting fluid) but will die real quick. I replace carburator, gas filter, air filter, still same result. The only thing I can thing of is the muffler. do you have any suggestiong? Thanks!
I called b s on the fifty hours for the muffler and spark screen. Just check the condition of the spark screen and if it's good it's good. And the muffler you can just clean with brake cleaner or paint thinner. In 50 hours is ridiculous.Because think about the landscapers who use them 5 hours a day and use them for years with the out having to do anything like that.
Great video but I gave up on small engines. I went all electric except the leaf blower - kept both.
Do you have an electric blower too? What model

What about throttle cable???? I need to replace
Do you know where to get the fuel lines?
How do you reconnect the throttle? I replaced its pulling cord (recoil), throttle got desconected, and have no idea how to put it back
